- Review: We had a leak from our plumbing for our washing machine. I called SHW and within 24 hours we had a friendly service man out to fix it. It was fast and covered by our warranty. The only thing not covered was the remove and replacement of the drywall which wasn't a big deal. We did that work our selves and it was pretty simple.

- Review: The people I've talked to have done all they can to help, but that ain't much. It seems ORHP hires the cheapest contractors with a deal to patch things as cheap as they can. Neither of the HVAC companies I've dealt with can be found on a google search, I didn't even know that was possible. I've been without proper AC for 2 weeks in south LA in June, on my second service company and I'm thoroughly unimpressed. I have Sensible Home Warranty on my rental property and highly recommend them.

- Review: A few weeks ago my pilot light on the hot water heater kept going out, called AHS and they sent out someone who lit it but said he couldn't do anything because it would light. Well after two plumbing companies and half a dozen plumbers looked at it, they finally agreen to changed out the gas regulator...which was the only thing that it could have been! They just didn't want to spend the money on the part. Now my a/c has been out since Monday (it's now late Thursday afternoon) and no one has been out to look at the air conditioning!!!!!!

- Review: Terrible, terrible firm. Not responsive to major needs. Small things....OK, but air conditioning replacement really isn't covered--although they say it is. On several occasions, the contractors they sent complained about the low payment for services they received from 2-10. We sold our home 10 months ago and have not been able to cancel our policy. They keep withdrawing a monthly amount for the premium--10 months after we cancelled. We had to contact the credit card company and have them blocked--because they (2-10) have been unresponsive to our requests to cancel.

- Review: So far I've been very impressed by Sensible Home Warranty. They sent someone just to unclog the drains in my rental property. The plumber said he had to check twice because no other warranty companies cover that.

- Review: Do not waste your money or time with Empire Home Warranty. Their toll free number is disconnected--thought I was saving time doing everything electronically to enroll. They are theives--they take your money and have run with it. They definitely do not help the poor in America with their financial woes and repairs. The have a message on their main line that no one answers or calls you back. They refer you to emailing them, but you get an email back stating you must wait 24 hours for any help. Well, I've been waiting 7 days now with no response. I'm contacting the BBB in Delaware to report them, as well, where they are home based.

- Review: After calling AHS immediately once our sewage water starting coming in the house through the walls and toilet, over four hours later we still have no service. AHS only has two plumbing vendors for our city and will not/would not get an outside vendor until after a four hour time period. A supervisor, Shawntel, stated that they would be calling additional vendors to get someone ASAP. I called back in the allotted time she stated and was told to call back in another two hours because they were still calling vendors to get someone out to our house for an emergency. At 8pm, after four hours of sewage water continually coming into our house, I called them back as told. Shawntel stated that they never called any other vendor and we could now call someone ourselves. Now, my only option is to paid a vendor upfront and send them the bill. Which I am sure they will not pay or if they do, it will not be in a timely manner. There is no reason to lie to a customer and make them wait four hours for nothing to be done in an emergency situation. I am disgusted and angered to the point of tears with this company. Please DO NOT USE this company. Save your warranty money and put it towards home improvements. TO AHS: Please do something to fix this problem within your company. You are very lacking in customer service and everything else. Your extremely dissapointed customer, Lauren K.

- Review: I requested a service due a malfunctioning on the A/C. ORHW respond to my request fast, especially when the first services provider fails to show the appointment day, and in a rude ways cancel the service request, the operator from ORHW call me immediately and placed another services request with another services provider, which came the very next day and fixed my issue in a professional and honestly way. The only complaint is that I wish they could accept costumers suggestion when choosing a services provider.

- Review: Beware, Home warranty providers scam. American Home Shield in Baton Rouge, Louisiana has left homeowners hanging after collecting premiums. In most states including Louisiana, No government agency enforces licensing or regulatory action against Home warranty providers so they do as they please. Homeowner is left with last recourse of suing at a cost of no less than $1500 to fund litigation. In Texas, Attorney general has recently nailed American Home Warranty aka American Home Shield (AHS), read about it here: http://www.instituteforlegalreform.com/component/ilr_news/30/article/I2976966584.html

- Review: I have been a customer for over 10 years with the service being generally ok for the minor items that we had. This past year we had a microwave go out - it took nearly 3 months to get it replaced. Last week the gas heater went out. It was a 25 year old unit. They claimed that the cause was lack of maintenance. There was some rust in the unit but that is common for units of this age with pilot lights and AC in south Louisiana. Don't expect them to pay up if it is a big ticket item.
