  • Review: This used to be a good company when I signed up in 1998 but it has gone WAY downhill. I will not be renewing my contract with them this July, especially after reading that everyone else has similar problems with them. In my case, I called about my dishwasher and was told that it had been "excluded" (with no notice; she said someone had "left a phone message" but I have no record of that) because I needed to have some bent hinges (which were not my fault; the door spring suddenly broke and the door fell out of my hands) fixed at my OWN expense before they would come out. The dishwasher is beyond the end of its useful life, but AHS wants me to pay $100 or more to have this useless dishwasher's hinges fixed, then pay THEM $60 to come out and tell me it needs to be replaced. What nonsense! This is like having no warranty at all. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

  • Review: The Customer Service Reps are very knowledgeable and courteous. They make sure that you understand the process and do punctual followup. HWA has saved us a good deal of money and we plan to stick with them!!!

  • Review: We had flushed a paper towel used to clean up our dog's vomit (sorry), which caused stoppage in both (only)toilets in the home. We called AHS and explained what had happened in detail. They opened an emergency ticket and said that they would call a contractor. Several calls over 14 hours gave us the same response, "We're still trying to find someone." I asked if I could call someone myself. They said that we could, but before they could do the work, they must call for an approval number. My first call produced a response and they were at my home within 30 minutes. They called for an approval number and was asked, "How much?" When they gave them the price, AHS said, I'm sorry, this is not covered because they flushed a foreign article down the toilet. I had told the dog barf story to no less than 4 people at AHS and not once did they tell me that it wasn't covered. 14 hours later I'm stuck with a $300 bill. I cancelled my contract with AHS on the spot. They continued to deduct the monthly payment for two months. Today (over two months later) we received a letter in the mail that the contract was cancelled effective the day I spoke with them by phone.
