- Review: AHS is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Their system is horribly flawed and they have every itention to simply deny any claim you may have that is more than your contract amount. I moved into a house and had purchased coverage for a septic sewage ejector pump. Mine failed. I called them for service, and they sent someone out. The plumber catagorized it as a "sewage ejector pump" which AHS says is not covered. I proceeded to spend over 2 hours on the phone discussing this with them, and they refused to contact the plumber to reverify that it is in fact a SEPTIC sewage ejector pump, and thus would be covered. They also refused to contact sales to confirm the coverage I had, stating that their denial stands. On top of it, out of the 5 people I contacted, 4 were incredibly rude and talked "down" to you. Only one was helpful, but she was not empowered to actually DO anything about this. In the end I had to pay hundreds out of pocket for a claim that was valid, because AHS refuses to listen to me. Trust me, stay away, you are better off just hiring your own contractor if anything should happen. In the end its less money and far less hassle.
