- Review: I noticed my heater not working at 7am on Sunday. I sent to them an email and they called me within a few hours. They told me they would contact the air conditioning company so they would call me and set an appointment. The a/c company called me Monday and they had someone at my house by Tuesday and the only reason for Tuesday was because I was working on Monday. Im an owner of a small company and I would recommend Sensible Home Warranty to any of my customers.

- Review: I called customer service because the tenant of the new condo complain that there is not A/C,only heating, an even it was middle of December the temp.inside the apartment was over 76 F.They gave me one claim number and the name of the repair service. After 2 days with no call from the service I call them and the answer was"I don't work anymore for Colonial because they don't pay."When I call colonial for second time they gave me other service number. He came after 2 days as promised,and found the defect.The following day I was asked by Colony to fax the reports of maintenance of the A/C/heather.I explained to the representative that this condo was purchased in October 2011 from the people who owned it since construction in 2007 as an investment and never used,how can I have any report.The answer was" without the report there is not service "

- Review: Overall service was excellent. Only sugguestion is that your company required that service companies make a call prior to rendering service for prior approval, although, a service fee from the customer is required based on the warranty policy. To me when the customer pays the service fee this should signify approval, since the claim being placed is in accordance with what is outlined in the warranty policy. Phone tag can be eliminated by simply given customers’ claim numbers when the claim is first initiated and not at the end. Again, this is only suggestions that should be considered to improve services. Thank You!

- Review: Absolute rip off. Plumbing repair claim was denied even after I was able to get validated opinion from a plumber who wasn't hired by first american and who stood to gain nothing from giving his validation the cause was NOT improper installation as their plumber alleges. Process to refute was explained to me by first person as simply get an email from the second plumber stating his contention that the repair had nothing to do with improper installation... a call back to first american resulted in another agent saying that would not be valid and that we needed a "third opinion tie breaker". Shocking that the guy they hire finds just what they need to invalidate the claim. Agents interrupted me, were rude to me and left me with no choice but to cancel my policy. This company is worthless. Can't wait to see how long it takes to process my refund.

- Review: I bought a home only 4 years old. The foundation have several cracked from the front to the back of the house. The house is drop down 2 inches on one corner. it was measure when the foundation repair guys came out . I have at least 10 or more cracked on the sheet rock. The window could only lock with one latch. The door are real hard to open. They came out twice and said it is still livable. So they refuse to fix the house. I' m still in the process of fighting them to get this house fix. This warranty was bought by the builder. I would not do business with this company.

- Review: Very good experience. Called on Thursday evening around 6 PM because my AC unit stopped working. Service company was called and promised to be here the next morning and they were at about 9 AM. They diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in 20 minutes. I was very pleased with the service and I have only had it for about 2 months.

- Review: Within 24 hrs of filing the claim, I was contacted by a repair person. The electrician arrived on time and completed the job. I checked out the contractor on Angie's List prior to them arriving, and they had a good reputation.

- Review: I had my AC stop working and they sent someone out that charged us 400.00 extra for recovery of freon and permits.Then the didn't recover the freon the just cut the line and let the freon out into the air. Then I checked with the city and they never got a permit either. These contractors are told by 2-10 that they can make plenty of money off the customer just by charging for items that aren't covered. Worst company and the biggest scam.

- Review: I'm glad I signed up with Sensible HW! The rates are great and the deductible is as advertised - how rare. Very easy to work with and timely service. I had 2 claims in the first 2 months of my term and both were resolved without a problem (a minor refrigerator problem, and a built in microwave repair. Both are working perfectly now. Thank you SHW

- Review: My heat was out Thursday morning so I logged in to my account on colonialhomewarranty.com and filed a repair request. I had an email 20 minutes later with the name and number of a repair person. I was going to call but they actually called me right away and told me they have a tech in my area who can be in my house in half hour. The tech came on time and was very professional, he changed my thermostat and some other part on my unit and got it working. He even left me his card with his mobile number and told me to call him any time if I have any issues with the system or if I need help programming my new thermostat.

- Review: Oh how I wished I had read these reviews before I signed up with this outfit. They are a total scam. I reported my air con as dripping and they sent out a technician from fort myers who claimed it was a faulty installation due to the ducting. The fact that it had run for 11 years was installed to code and the home inspection some 6 months earlier had passed it as fully operational was not accepted by them. They sent a 2nd technician who reported the fault was due to low freon and that the installation was absolutely standard and thousands had been installed in Charlotte county in exactly this manner. He later said he was pressed by them to say the fault was due to ducting but he refused. He said the faults were normal for it's age. still the insurance denied the claim. The brokers prudential are absolutely no help they take their commission and run. Please be advised you are wasting your money here if you use this company, if you read the contract carefully you will find they don't cover any major expenditure. I am from Scotland but I will still be going to the small claims court with my case just for the satisfaction and because someone has to make a stand. Why are the media not onto this lot in the UK there would have been an investigative programme about this by now with so many hundreds of similar cases.

- Review: horrible company i purchased my home in October of 2010 and have had them come out to fix my air conditioner and the contractor they sent out had to come back three times to fix it and i still had to wait another week for parts to come in than they tried to charge me another service fee. when the problem was never fixed. my newest problem is my fridge, they sent out a low cost company to replace a relay switch and instead the company cut all the manufactures wires and ruined the compressor. so they sent out another company who said it would cost more to fix than it would to replace it. Old republic called me and told me that it would be replaced and i would receive further instructions. about 20 minutes later i got a call saying they would replace it and i would have to wait upto a week for parts. and on top of that all i have gotten is attitude and awful customer service my advice..don't waste your money

- Review: I WOULD RATHER BE HOMELESS THEN OWN A HOME WARRIENTIED BY THIS COMPANY. 2-10 is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my 45 years. This policy came with my home purchase and has been completely worthless. I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service and a complete lack of caring what so ever from the people who work there. If you buy a home, make sure you ask at the closing which company the seller got the warranty from. If it is from 2-10 it is completely worthless. NO HOME WARRENTY IS BETTER THEN A HOME WARRENTY FROM THESE PEOPLE

- Review: I placed a service for my heating since December 14 2010 through email as they said in their recording, I emailed them twice and still have not heard a word from them. In June 2010 when my AC went out. They asked me to fax them the maintenance record of my AC in the past 6 months and I did. They still did not cover the bad AC compressor. This is the worst home warranty insurance I've ever had. I recommend American Home Shield

- Review: I requested service on a Sunday and received a call on Monday morning to my surprise. I spoke to Sara who was extremely helpful and she got all the info she needed to get my request in. Each time I talked to her it was always pleasant. I would and have recommended this company to my friends. One thing we all need to remember, I can only speak from experience, it's not Shield Star that does the repair but the companies who call themselves that best that is the holdup when it comes to service. - Review: Every time you call them, expect to wait a minimum of 30 minutes on hold, no matter what the reason or department. They never make it out in less than a week, and try to get out of every little repair. I have been with them for 4 years, and I have had nothing but problems with that company. BEWARE!

- Review: Sometime you don't realize how good something is unless you try it. That was my case with Sensible Home Warranties. This week I had an issue with my AC system. Please note that I am a stay at home mom with a newborn baby! AC went out, during one of the hottest weeks of the year. This is a emergency. I got Simon on the line, expressed my concern. Within an HOUR and a half I had a technician at my house! The issue was with freon (something not covered under the plan) , but I was more than happy with the way the company jumped to take care of my family. I couldn't have been happier, and have since referred additional family members.

- Review: I found this warranty firm on this site last year after another poor year of service from my old company. My home was built in 2004 and has only high end appliances so I did plenty of homework before switching. I filed my first service claim with them this past saturday via the company website. Even though my issue was only for a garbage disposal I still got a call from a customer service girl within an hour. She took my information and was very pleasant to deal with. First thing monday morning, a repairman was in my home and they ended up replacing the disposal with a new one. I was at work and was shocked my wife did not even have to call me one time with a problem. There was no back and forth nonsense with this company. I was so impressed with them I thought I would share it with all of you. They really did a great job.
