- Review: A bad burner on a stove took nearly 2 months to "resolve" with a paltry payout of $250 (less the service fee). I called at least 12-15 times to find out what was going on. With nearly all messages left unreturned. I specifically requested a written statement providing details on how the $250 was developed. "No". I wanted to cancel this policy since it is of no use to me: "No".

- Review: Had electrical problems on the house, 6 code violations, defective panel box, and defective wiring. AHS tech came out and stated that everything was functioning and working. I called AHS and told them tech was in error, Asked to have another qualified electrician come out for an evaluation and repairs, AHS stated," okey and send us the bill" which I did, They have denied my claim and offered first $250.00, refused, then raised it to $976.00, refuse,I paid $1955.00 to repair the problem. I will be taking AHS to court on Dec. 14, 2010. When contract is up, I will cancel, DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY.

- Review: I called the company up for electrical problems, They sent out a person that identified himself as a diagnostician, not an electrician. I told him that their is a short circuit in the wiring,k the panel box had two malfunctioning breakers with the bus bars arching. Also all of the appliances were an overload on one circuit causing the breakers to pop. I contacted another electrician after calling AHS of my concerns, they said OK, send us the bill. After getting a qualified electrician in, it was found that the cloth covered wiring was defective and had to be replaced. Also the panel box was defective and required to be replaced. Their was also 6 items that were not up to code that were involved. I made a claim for reimbursement of $1825.00 for the work that was completed. They denied the claim and offered $250.00 for code violations. The wiring and panel box were replaced because of defects, the upgrade was a by-product of the work. All of the work was approved by the city becuse of the replacement requirements of the city. Had these items been functioning properly, their would not be a need to repair them. AHS cannot distinguish between repair and upgrade. We are filing with small claims court for the money. At the end of the warranty, we will cancel. All this company wants to do is collect the premiums and stall for any payment. To put up roadblocks to frustrate you more. One of the worse companies around.NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

- Review: MY WARRANTY CONTRACT WAS INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE OF OUR HOME IN MAY 2009. JULY AND THE SUMMER HEAT CAME, UNFORTUNATELY OUR AIR CONDITIONER WOULD NOT WORK. I CALLED GLOBAL HOME USA AND WAS GREETED IN A FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS MANNER. THEY ADVISED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A CERTIFIED TECH. IN OUR AREA. THEY SUGGESTED THAT I CALL A TECH TO CHECK THINGS OUT AND TO CALL THEM. THE TECH I CALLED CAME, CHECKED OUT THE SYSTEM. HE SPOKE TO GLOBAL FROM MY HOME AND RECEIVED THE AUTHORIZATION TO MAKE THE REPAIR ON THE SPOT. SINCE THE TECH WAS NOT A GLOBAL HOME USA AUTHORIZED TECHNICIAN, I HAD TO PAY THE REPAIR LESS MY $50 DEDUCTIBLE. MY $850 REIMBURSEMENT CAME IN A TIMELY MANNER. I HAVE HAD ADDITIONAL CLAIMS SINCE, AND ALL WERE HANDLED PROFESSIONALLY. I HAVE READ THE REVIEWS POSTED ON THIS WEBSITE, AND MY CONCLUSION WOULD BE THAT YOU CANNOT JUDGE A COMPANY BASED ON AS FEW AS FOUR REVIEWS. THIS CERTAINLY IS NOT A FAIR REPRESENTATION OF GLOBAL HOME USA CONTRACT HOLDERS.

- Review: These people had AWFUL phone customer service. Their contractors would say they would show up, REPEATEDLY, and not show up. I would take mornings off work, they wouldn't show up, I'd lose money/work time, and then they would do it all over again. When I complained to the company, they did nothing about it. They sent contractors who several times were incompetent to fix the problem at hand. Then, we got a letter from their parent company, Virginia Surety, that they were discontinuing our policy. These people were good around 2004, but they have deteriorated in recent years. They are AWFUL! Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else!!!!
