- Review: Very dissatisfied with this company. The quality of the technicians sent range from average to poor. The customer service SUCKS!!!. I’ve had numerous encounters with RUDE customer service reps on the phone who are less than helpful. I've not had a good experience at all. I will NEVER give Old Republic another dime!!!

- Review: Hello, we had total protect gold. We were sent the information by our mortgage company. Thought it sounded like a good idea so we signed up. We scheduled an appliance maintenance, the tech came out and checked out washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. A claim was open on the dishwasher and dryer for different reasons, the dishwasher had stopped cleaning our dishes and leaves a film and the dry had started making a squeaking noise. For the dishwasher they replaced a plastic basket in the bottom of the dishwasher and told us to use dishwasher magic and everything would be fine. Well we did as they asked and still dirty dishes. We called them back and wanted to call our claim a "re-call" because they replaced a basket and if they find something else wrong it will be another $75.00 trip charge. I was admit that they did not fix the initial problem and I would not pay another trip charge. The tech came back and used a meter to watch the voltage as the dishwasher. The tech at that point said he could find nothing wrong with the dishwasher (who has heard of a dishwasher that does not wash dishes? That reminds me of the island of misfit toys in Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. For the dryer, our claim for the squeak was denied because squeaks are not covered, ok, they said that a squeak is not mechanical. Hmmm? Does not squeak when it is not running, so it must be being made by a moving part that is mechanical. Hmmm. Long story short, after they were telling us to use all kinds of different dish washing detergents, we use cascade powder and jet rinses, in the dishwasher which I replied we have tried that. They then told me that there was nothing that we they can do because the dishwasher was working fine. Really, a dishwasher that does not clean dishes is working fine, really? After talking with several people, with the tech in my kitchen I decided to cancel my policy with this company. They had the tenacity to ask me how they could retain my business, I said make my dishwasher clean my dishes, they said they could not do it, it is working fine. The agent even audibly laughed at me during our conversation, poor customer service, no real desire to try and resolve my issue, denied claims as soon as they could and spent days trying not to fix anything. I am in the real estate business and I will never refer any of my clients to this mother company or any of it's subsidiaries.

- Review: I have had American Home Shield for a couple of years and had maintence done on my A/C unit and then called for repair for the same problem as the previous two years and got a rude snotty repair guy who said I did not maintain my A/C and reported that so that my claim was denied and left and never even bothered to close up my outside unit.I tried to explain that I have called each year for the same problem and it was repaired each time until this rude snotty repair guy and they just said too bad we have to go with whatever the repair guy says even thought they had proof that I have had them repair every year. Stay away from this company.

- Review: This company cares more about charging customers to make money rather than actually helping and providing services. Had an issue with my built-in microwave called for service, tech arrived within a decent time. However microwave worked fine so he said he would not charge me for the service since he was not able to help. Two months later received a bill from from Old republic mentioning that I did not pay for my services explained the situation, they told me that the tech did not have the authority to make that call and said I had to pay or they were going to turn it over to collections. Did not care that I had been a customer for 3 years and there was not willing to understand or work with me on this issue. I will not but a customer anymore and would urge others to stay away from this company.

- Review: I have had several issues with my AC unit since purchasing my home. Old Republic has been impossible to deal with to get it repaired. I have had a tech out 3-4 times and all they did was refill the freon. As a result, for the past 3 yrs I have the same issue again. They have never fixed the actual problem. I had to file a BBB complaint in order to get them to come back out after my policy expired. Now I'm in my third year of dealing with them..I'm actually on hold (for the last 16 min) waiting for them to get me someone to talk to about this. I'm assuming another complaint to the BBB will follow shortly. Do not use this company!
