  • Review: I was looking for a Home Warranty and after I THOUGHT I did my due diligence with researching companies I ended up with Home Choice Plans. I signed up in April 2011 and never needed them until about a week ago only to find out that they do not answer the phone or emails. I, like one of the other customers want my money back. They were still drafting my account but are obviously out of business. Extremely frustrating. I'm jsut glad I found out now instead of later down the road with a major repair. THEY ARE FRAUD so do NOT use them!!

  • Review: I am on my 6th call for a main line plumbing call. They have not returned my calls as promised. They scheduled someone for 5 days out for what is an obvious emergeny. When I called to correct the problem they sent someone out that did not understand the problem and was not capable of fixing the problem. I was forced to pay the service price of $60 for someone to say they couldn't help. I have been on hold all morning and they once again have not returned calls as promised.

  • Review: We have been AHS customers for years, and have tolerated the extremely long wait times for repairs, until now. We have a vital appliance in our coverage that has been broken since September and it is now January. We are definitely getting the run around and being sent from repair company to repair company. AHS does not want to replace, therefore we remain broke. We are cancelling our coverage and will never be with them again. DO NOT GET THIS warranty!!!! It is not worth the stress, wait times and mistreatment as a customer. We would rather pay out of pocket from now on.

  • Review: Horrible customer service, sounds great in theory but not worth the hassle! Had a plumbing claim submitted, it was almost 3 weeks before I sent an angry email, and voila they call us finally to set up an appointment. Then the contractor makes something up that we used a wire brush on our valve, tells us something else, so we could pay him to do it the next day, but then 2 months later we are still billed the 60 dollar fee. The customer service says that is part of our contract, but the contract I have says "when service is performed" is when you pay a service fee. Also for an electrical problem of outlets not working along an entire wall, they come hours before their window, and then only fix two outlets. When I had to recall them to fix the remainder of the outlets I had to pay them another service fee because it was "another problem". I can't wait until our year is up, and we're going to tell our realtor to stop recommending this scam of a company.

  • Review: I was very pleased with the quality and speediness of the service I received from Sensible. My heating unit went out on the first cold night of the season (figures!) and I placed a call to Sensible. They assured me that they would put a rush on my claim, which they did! The serviceman contacted me the next morning and before you know it, I had heat! I had just recently switch warranty companies, and since this was my first claim with Sensible I was a little apprehensive about the process since I had no frame of reference as to their service. I am extremely happy with the service I received and would recommend them to other homeowners!

  • Review: We had to push to get any response from this company when we issued are questions about establishing a service. Usually there was a few day pause between the time we submitted out questions and we received a response. The company was quick to charge $75 for an "inspector" to survey the house. After the brief "inspector" visit we didn't hear anything from the company. We asked how much the service would be if we selected to activate the coverage. We learned that additions such as "$90 to add the double wall oven" made the insurance overpriced and less complete coverage compared to other companies, like National Home Warranty, in Nevada. This Blue Ribbon Warranty provided a fraction of the coverage offered by other companies. We selected not to activate coverage. That means the brief "inspector" visit was a $75 waste of money.

  • Review: My AC went out June 19th. I placed a claim. After NINE WEEKS of blame shifting, miscommunication between the warranty company and the contractor, lack of communication with me if anything was going on, and temperatures in the 100s, I managed to have it replaced. There were $635.00 of "uncovered charges", and since I had spent the past two months unable to cook in my own house, having to beg and borrow fans and a window unit from friends (which only cooled off the one room downstairs), and thanking Jesus that I didn't have a roommate or renter who I would have had to pay for them to get a hotel room or just move out on me, I asked them if they could help me absorb any of the costs. They would not budge. Then, they reluctantly told me that they sometimes offer a $150 reimbursement for the purchase of a window unit, to which I wonder exactly how hot it must have to be or long you must have to wait for them to offer that BEFORE you melt in your own home, but since I was about to have the repair made and hadn't purchased one earlier to keep a receipt, that they couldn't do anything for me. The best I got was that they would reimburse me the $60 service call fee that I paid 2 months prior. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. They still won't budge, quoting me the contract right and left and failing to recognize that the issue isn't contract-based. I would have gladly paid the amount, had it been fixed within a couple of weeks even. But NINE WEEKS. In ATLANTA. Then they closed out the complaint. Now, I have the AC working, but to install it, they had to remove an incorrectly installed part of my furnace, of course installed by another contractor through the warranty company, undoubtedly cutting corners and trying to save them money. They have said they won't replace it because they don't cover costs to bring anything up to code. Even though the vent they removed had been banged up and taped onto my furnace and hidden from me because it wouldn't fit in the first place, because it wasn't code. I mean, really?! So, if you've made it through reading this whole thing, please realize I am in search of an attorney and will BEG anyone who is considering this company as a warranty service to RUN FULL SPEED the other way. This is only one of the many run ins I've had with them. (No AC for 6 weeks 2 years ago with a nursing newborn in the house, no stove for a month, the list goes on. Not to mention, it seems the only thing they DO cover is the parts, which they find the absolute cheapest peaces of crap they can muster that they must have hand-delivered from the other side of the world based on how long it takes to get them in.) Run. Don't walk, Run the other way.

  • Review: I've tried to file a claim with my warrany company for the first time to fix a plumbing leak, and initially everything seemed fine. We called around 8:30 at night, got an agent and was quickly issued a work order number and given the phone number of a plumber. We were told that the plumber should call in the morning, and if we didn't hear anything by late morning that we should call the plumber and, if that didn't work, call the warranty company back. I hadn't been contacted by noon, so I called the plumber and got a voicemail that sounded like a personal line and not a business. I left a message, waited another hour, then called the warranty company. The agent very politely let me know that I had to wait 24 hours before they would contact a different plumber, which is not what I was told the night before. So now I've called the plumber again and left a second message, and called the warranty company again and have been told again that there's nothing they can do. And the agent admitted that if they call another plumber, it could be another 24 hours of being ignored before the cycle started again. There is no guarantee, in other words, that I will hear from a plumber any time soon. Meanwhile I've got water running down my wall and dripping into my kitchen from a leak in the bathroom upstairs. The damage that this negligence is doing to my house is unknown, because the water is running behind the walls to who knows where. It feels like this warranty company is stalling until I'm forced to pay a plumber out of pocket. And they're right, I will be forced to do that soon.
