- Review: Never sign up for Home Warranty with totalprotect.com. In order to sell home warranty, they promise that they will cover every problem with the appliance. But when time comes to provide the service, they reject the claim (unless it's a claim that is really small). My wall mounted Microwave stopped working. They sent a Microwave contractor. He said that there is a mechanical problem and the Total Protect will cover my claim. Later on, I got a call from Total protect that my Microwave repair will not be covered. I called contractor again. Contractor said that he can't think of any reason why my claim shouldn't be covered. We went back and forth several times between contractor and Total Protect and Total protect didn't cover my claim. Now, I need to replace Microwave on my own. My strong advise will be never to sign up warranty with Total Protect.
