I signed on with TotalProtect Home Service. My claim was handled by HomeSure Services.(not sure why) The technicians sent to evaluate my HVAC said it was installed improperly,straight-wired & not maintained...CLAIM DENIED.
All of this was not true. I had maintenance records to disprove. So I called & was rudely treated and bounced from one rep to another. I finally just asked to cancel. Three months later I am still being billed and have spent over 20 min at a time trying to get to someone who will authorize reimbusement for fraudulent charges to no avail. I was asked to fax in my mortgage statements. So the fight continues. I will try to have the charges blocked by my mortgage company.
This warrany company--TOTAL PROTECT and/or HOMESURE are SCAMS!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

Home Warranty Secrets: Common Policies and Practices Used Against Consumers

With the exception of Advantage Home Warranty, the inner workings and structure of the home warranty industry is stacked against the policy holder. With loopholes large enough to drive a Mac truck through, they need NEVER pay out any claim.....and you the policy holder can do little about it.

This describes how the home warranty industry builds convenient loopholes into the system to avoid paying claims and how it should work.
