I appreciate the advice regarding home warranties, as we are moving from a historic home to a 9 year old home and are uncertain whether it will be worth the investment. I do, however, resent the insinuation in “Drett.com’s” comment that the lazier people may need this. Since my husband and I are both clinicians and may be much more successful in removing your appendix or recognizing your nocturnal seizure disorder than we would be fixing our stove, I hardly think that makes us lazy. Apparently we all choose to apply our talents differently. The person that builds a house is no less talented than the person that fixes a broken limb. People pay people to do what they do well. What a world it would be if everyone was a doctor or an appliance repairman. Sheesh.
