| Home warranty is a complex insurance product. Unlike home insurance, it does not provide blanket coverage for all appliances. Pre-existing conditions and problems resulting from lack of maintenance of appliance are are generally not covered by home warranty companies. Home warranty sellers may not state these factors clearly, and this will create dissatisfaction among customers. Due to these factors, you will see many negative reviews here. Don't be intimidated by some negative reviews here. If you have maintained your appliances in good condition and go with a reputed home warranty provider, your coverage will be fine. |
We do not endorse any company in particular, however you should ignore the reviews that are overly negative or positive. Such reviews are not likely to offer a balanced view and some of them could be fake reviews posted to promote or demote a company. It is always a good idea to check BBB ratings and make sure the company is licensed to do business in your State by contacting State Insurance Commission. Try to avoid paying annual premium and keep your cancellation rights

I’m a contractor in Illinois that was contacted by globe home warranty to do some warranty work for them in my service area back in January 2007. We toke on four calls (claims). Two claims denied completely and home owner was stuck with the bills. Third claim was covered and toke 4 months and 15plus phone calls to finally get paid the $65.00 dollars. Fourth claim was under warranty and fixed by us in June 13th 2007 but globe home warranty has not paid us for our services. We have talked with them at least 20 times the first 4 months and they tell me they are looking into the matter and a check will be sent shortly. Since October 2007 they still our looking into the matter and will get back to me, Never and I mean Never do you get a return phone call from this company. Today is January 9th 2008 and this matter is not resolved and I’m forced to lean their customer’s house and take other legal actions. Of the four claims, I’ve heard from the home owners that it was a nightmare for them to deal with Globe Home Warranty like slow response, no return phone calls, weeks and calls would go bye before any action was taken
Stay away form this company, It’s bad for besiness (Home Owners, Contractors, Realtors, etc…)
Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. Never call you back and when you finally get through to someone (in this case, someone name Josh), incredibly rude and hostile. Globe canceled my warranty on Dec 21st, 2007 due to a mix up and never informed me of the cancellation. Even when I called in with a claim 3 weeks ago, they have been running me around until today trying to get me to pay them instead of the plumber who hadn’t been paid (who I paid 2 weeks ago) and never once told me that the warranty had been canceled. So now when I ask where my pro-rated refund on the cancellation is, they say, it must be on it’s way. HAH! I don’t believe them, dealing with them feels like I’m living in the twilight zone. Nothing they say feels like the truth.
I am familiar with this warranty company. I recommend everyone use it. They have given great service to me and my clients.
They do not return phone calls. They do not send info in a timely manner. They have numerous reasons to deny claims.
PLEASE NOTE ON Ouafa Peyton’s response. The President and CEO of this company is Mr. Peyton. Alex Peyton is son of owner. I strongly urge all consumers to check with the Better Business Bureau of Central Florida. This company has a horrible record. Attempts to resolve issues are a joke. Take warning- research this company online. There are tons of horror stories out there.
I called them 2 weeks ago to submit a claim for cloth washer. After couple of attempts I finally go thru to someone to submit a claim. The person was quite rude but did do their job. This job was contracted out to local Sears service center (I have a Kenmore washer/dryer). Since it was Sears the service was reasonable the problem was fixed. They did give me a 8 to 5 window. I got an invoice for the deductible the next day. Overall it worked for me.
This company is essentially non-functioning after you purchase the warranty. They do not answer their phones or ever return calls from the emergency line. Do not use this company.
This company does nothing but take your money. THey are a bunch of crooks.
Ac went out in August 2007. It is now May 15 2008. They are all still looking into it. The check is in the mail. So they say. I don’t think our postal service is that slow. I would never use them again. I am still fighting for my money. I am not giving up on this.
I agree with all the above bad comments. This one guy always answers phone calls making me believe this operations is run from some body’s basement. They never return calls. If you request to speak to manager they will hang up on you. They will put you on hold for over 30 minutes and than hang up. Its not worth buying this warranty at all. It all makes sense why they take so long to process any claim so you will run out of time and patience. This company SUCKS Hard.
I have had a warranty with this company for 4 years. They have replaced my entire Air Conditioning system. They have replaced my water heater last year. Each time I called them I only had a problem one time getting trhough, they do have a high calling volume, overall I rate them excellent. I have used warranty companies in the past and this one rates among the highest in my book.
We are a contractor that is with Globe and have done 2 service calls for them. The first was back in December and the second was in March. We have not been paid for the call in December 2007 ($85) and the furnace install ($350) we did in March 2008. I have called 10 times to say the least and keep getting told by a supervisor named Kay that she will look into it and even told that checks were in the mail. Then I was told that they had no money coming in and that is why they couldn’t pay. I spoke with a ALEX and a JOSH , both of whom hung up on me and told me I was pissing them off. TOO BAD! Who works for free? No one of any help.I asked for their corporate phone number and was told no, that that is what they pay her to do. I proceeded to ask if she owned the company and she said no, I then asked who does and she said it’s none of your business. I quickly explained that as a contractor I have a right to know who I am partnering with and wish to speak to anyone above her. I found the presidents name of Peyton (from my own research) and I will be giving him a call. I have also made a complaint to the better business bureau in Florida. I don’t see us getting our money EVER! This was the worst business decision I have ever made and will make sure I investigate the next company with whom I do business. Horrible vendor service and I will tell every one I know NEVER to use Globe or purchase anything from them.
We have owned businesses before and supplied customer service. We tried to use the warranty with Globe this last Fri. called them at approx. 10:00 am. Their reply to my wife was we will get back with you we mentioned about it being Fri. etc. overtime they replied you don’t have to worry about it. Well we stayed home all day waiting for their call nothing 5:00 pm we called them they must have forgotten about us. They called back within 10 min. after being hung up on discounted and waited for over an hour between the two times tring to reach them. They called back amazing with in 10 min. now approx. 5:30. They said they will be out Sat. again overtime we mentioned about Monday it will be ok. Well he came out searched for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours thought at one time a capacitor not that (blower ran constantly but compressor was not till around 1:00pm to 2:00pm then it had been working intermittantly. A week ago Fri. it did the same thing except it would not cool compresspr would not start till after 8:00pm that Fri. night we did not call because it was Fri. evening and the temp. droped below 90 degrees It worked well all week till Fri. again then it would not cool again fan still blowing would not shut off, but around 1:00 to 2:00pm it stated to cycle its intermittant. Well he pulled the board out of the furnace unit put it back in and then the fan blower starts to cycles with the compressor. I know Electronics is usally goog or bad sometimes it can be intermittant so this will happen again I have not doubt. If he would have changed out the board like I think he should have knowing what I know now they would have paid (so the customer sservice guy said) well he did not so they did not have to pay anything. I had to pay the bill plus overtime. They hide behind their contract not good businss or Customer relation practices. I feel these warranty companies should stay with certain vedors that know their pay policy and their practices and their loop holes for the customers will know whats up. We would have gone to a hotel and had him come out Monday would have saved money and had a weekend away. We will never purchase their policies again or anything they have to offer. This was our second yr. and would have contiuned to do business with them for yrs. our son in Indianapolis, IN was thinking he just bought a house six months ago not now. When this comes up out in public we can be very vocal people it takes ten good things to correct one bad if possibly. The house we bought had this policy with it and that was two yrs ago.
I recently purchased a home in North Georgia and the seller had bought a warranty for us with Global Home Warranty. I dealt with them on two occasions. Without going in boring details about my interaction with them, I can not say anything possitive about that company. Besides being absolutely useless in regards to the requested repairs, they are also extremely inefficient. Their personel answering the telephone (once they do) is rude and completely inapproriate. I endured many indignities from them during numerous attempts to resolve my issues. I will be glad to give details to anyone interested. I would be more than pleased if that company were forced to stop doing business.

1. The 2 claims I placed through the internet system were never addressed 2. Globe Home Warranty never contacted me. The only way I would know the status of the claim was because I took the initiative and called Globe. 3. An appointment was finally made for the Sears Employee to look at the washing machine without my knowledge. -The appointment was scheduled without consulting with me -I was not informed of the appointment. The only way I knew to be home for the appointment was because I called Globe Warranty to check the status. 4. I was consistently given incorrect information. -I called several times when the first claim was placed and told that I just needed to wait, when in reality, Globe needed to know the model and serial number of the machine before being able to proceed: information that was never requested from me. -I was told two times by two different representatives that I would receive my check within the first week in June. I have yet to receive my reimbursement and it is now June 30 -I spoke with a representative in the accounting department and was told that the check would be processed by June 20, 2008. After speaking with Josh, the supervisor of the claims department, he told me that it would be processed by June 27, 2008. This contradictory information was given to me within the same phone call only minutes apart from each other. -On one phone call, Josh told me that he could see in the system when my claim would be processed. On another phone call he told me he could not view the information. 5.I was put on hold for lengthy amounts of time -When I called at the end of May to find the status of the claim, I was put on hold for 15 minutes before I finally hung up -When I called on June 16, 2008, I was put on hold for 22 minutes. I then put that phone down and called Globe using another line. I listened to see if anyone had picked up the first line while on the phone with Josh. Even after hanging up the phone with Josh, the first line was still holding- 45 minutes later. I hung it up at that point, but I could have been on hold indefinitely.
This claim was initiated in January 2008 and it is now June and I have not received my reimbursement money. I have made 20+ phone calls and have filed a complaint with the BBB.
This company is a joke. They are horrible to deal with. They lie to you every time there lips move.
This company is horrible to deal with. They lie everytime they open there mouths.
If I could give them a negative number I would.

We brought a home in January with a Globe Home Warranty included. First the contract took until April to arrive. Meanwhile we had a issue with the heat tried to file a claim and was given the runaround. So we came out of pocket ourselves. Then summertime came the A/C was not working with contract in hand we filed a claim. The contractor was called Caviness Mechanical they came and said old wiring. They did hook it up where we get air but it constant. We though once Globe recieve the report from the contractor it would be fix It is 7/30/08 they never recieved the report(so they say) despite me knowing it was sent.I would like to take them to court if anyone is interested please e-mail us at cox13@verizon.net. We as cunsumers deserve better.
These guys are horrible. It was not until I threatened to expose them to a couple of news channels did I get an appointment to get my A/C fixed. Even as I write this I am sitting in 90 degree heat in my house. And Josh in customer service is as rude as they come. All I can say is thanks for your customer no-service globe!!!!
Here is a company that called me to sell a contract. I bought it and was told that it is effective immediately and valid for 1 year. I was also told that I had 30 days to try it out and cancel if not happy. As luck would have it, I had a broken Clothes Washer in a couple of weeks of purchasing the policy. I thought this was a great buy as I might recover the costs in the first year itself. But the customer service guy called and told me that I cannot file a claim as my contract was less than 30 days old. I can only file a cliam after 30 days. I can understand the reason, but the guy who sold me the contract did not mention it. In fact, if I am supposed to “try” it out for 30 days with a full money back guarantee and at the same time I cannot file a claim for the first 30 days, what was I supposed to do? I told him that I was given the contract for 1 year, but it seems that I am being given only a 11 month coverage. Just crazy how they fool you while selling the policy and then take you for a ride.
When we purchased our home last year, we requested the sellers provide a home warranty for our own peace of mind. During the coverage period of our warranty, we used it for several things (air conditioner, plumbing), making it well worth the money. When our year was up, I renewed our policy online, I received a confirmation number and everything. I was expecting payments to start coming out of our account but nothing happened. So I called to see what was going on (two months after I renewed it) and was told that our renewal request was denied. I pried the customer service rep for as much information as possible as to why we were declined and only found out that we were determined TOO HIGH RISK. They provide HOME WARRANTY POLICIES and because we actually used the policy, we were too high risk. That doesn’t make much sense. I could understand if we were calling in claims every month but, either way, they are supposed to provide coverage for my home. In order to get more information she told me that I would need to write a letter, fax it and someone would get back with me. Now another three months later, I have yet to hear anything. I wasn’t so upset that we were declined coverage but that nobody contacted me. If we would have needed the coverage in the time between renewing the coverage and realizing we had no coverage I would have sued. We were NEVER contacted to let us know our renewal was declined.
In January 2008 our fridge went out. They sent someone to look at it and he said it was a total loss. I called globe and they would porvide $350 towards a new fridge, as a reimbursement. I did not have the money at the time for a new fridge and had to save for one. I was without a fridge from January 08 til April of 08. I submitted a receipt in April 2008. It was approved, but we have yet to receive reimbursement, it is now mid-October!! DO NOT use this company. They do not return phone calls, they have horrible customer service, consistanty rude and they resolve nothing!!!!!! I am so over this company it is not even funny. I would never have chosen this company, but the warranty was purchased by the previous homeowners. Globe called me in August and wanted me to renew my plan. I laughed at them and told the lady under no uncertain circumstances would I renew as it has taken forever for my first claim to be delt with. STAY AWAY – FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!
I just spoke with Kay “supervisor of the claims department” and low and behold my check is going to be sent out tomorrow. I also told her she should check this website and maybe they could see were some of the issues are and work on their customer service problems. Fat Chance. Next step is the attorney….
This is the worst company. I called to renew my home warranty and they told me tht the underwriters decided not to renew my warranty. When I asked why, they only said ” the underwriters are not required t give a reason as to why they decide why they cancel someones warranty or not. I told the person on the phone, that was not a good enough reason and when I asked ” What are they God”, she got really pissy with and I basically told her to piss off.
This company is the worst to deal with. They do not return calls and they hang up on you. Each person that I dealt with (Josh, Alex, Kay) was rude and not helpful. Our realtor also tried to submit claims for us to no avail. The realtors are not recommending this company any longer. Since our contract took months to arrive and our claims were denied, and claims that were promised to be paid were not, we turned them into the Florida BBB. I have also contacted my state attorney general and would advise others to do so as well.
I called to file a claim & NEVER heard back. I finally paid to fix my roof myself & called the next week. I got the runaround & ultimately never heard back from a claims rep. Today my toilet starts bubbling & gushing water everywhere so I call their “24/7″ claims line & get a recording that they’re closed for the weekend & we can leave a voicemail. Globe is god awful!!!
Submitted a claim in May and waiting for reimbursement. Lucky enough to get some one phone after trying several times. They never return phones calls. For last 3 months, we trying to get this claim processed. Service is too bad.
We did work for globe in 2006-2007 and have yet to be paid . They owe our company alot of money . I have faxed, mailed and called about the invoice’s , nobody calls me back . Today i was able to get ahold of this lady that would not give me her name , she kept on telling me to get over it , i told her i had a stack of invoices in front of me , she was like what , what , what is a stack , are you saying stack, i don’t get it, i was like oh my god i have a large pile of invoices that you owe me for she was like so rude, i was like i can not believe you don’t understand you owe me this money and have to pay me , i told her i was calling the courts.A little bit later someone named kay called my office , i had stepped out , she told my office co-worker that i called them and giving them a hard time and she wants to know why ……she said she will call me back in the am , well see and i will post part 2 to this , to all the other contractors out there RUN,RUN ….2 years and still no money !!!!
Globe Home Warranty, has a very poor rating.
I talked to them today about a problem and they acted as if I was wasting their time, and talk about arrogant….. I asked the women answering the phone where on the warranty it talked about my problem not being covered, I told you no it is not covered, now you want me to show you were it is in the warranty…… Then the women said just a minute….Another person got on the phone claiming to be her supervisor. Once again this man (I will not call him a gentleman), acted as though I was wasting his time. I asked to talk to his boss, and he said I am the supervisor and boss here so you’ll have to talk to me.
Also, I asked them about reimbursement for a claim I sent to them over 2 months ago. The women asked for how much it was for. I told her it was for $60. She snickered and then said, “We have been very busy and will try to get it to you before the end of the year……
At the top of this web page they say there is Premium: $349 Deductible: $50 Effective: 30 days after payment is received Why does my warranty say it has a $75.00 Service Fee?
Two weeks ago, my husband woke up at 5:00 am to get ready to leave for a 2 week long business trip. When he tried to take a shower, he noticed that there wasn’t any hot water and went down to the basement to look at the hot water heater. The pilot light was out and he couldn’t get it to light. He had to leave so he told me to call out a plumber when I woke up.
When I woke up, I called the gas company first to make sure it wasn’t something on their end and they told me to call a plumber, which I did. The plumber came out, replaced a part (which turned out to be the wrong part, a whole different story) and charged me $276.00.
My husband tried calling Globe today to attempt to get reimbursement on this charge, being that he was out of the state for two weeks and I had no idea I needed to call this company first and then have them send out someone. My husband spoke with Josh, who as you can see from the numerous complaints above, was a rude jackass. When my husband explained the situation, Josh basically told my husband he was SOL and when my husband requested to speak with Josh’s supervisor, Josh told my husband that he is the boss and that there is no one else to talk to.
After reading all of the complaints on this site, I don’t think it would’ve mattered at all if we had called this company first to file a claim. It seems that they are worthless pieces of crap and won’t honor the warranty anyhow. Here’s hoping we don’t have any other issues with our house because I can’t see Globe Warranty actually fixing anything.
We are a plumbing contractor and work for several home and commercial warranty companies. Our first job with Globe, after jumping through their qualification hoops was to replace a water heater, this is why I have a 5 for service timeliness and repair. We went right out and replaced the unit, pulled a permit and the realtor payed the deductable, $75.00. Once we cut the cold water pipe we discovered the shut off valve wasn’t holding and would need replacement. Globe said that was another work order with another deductable so the realtor had to come back with another $75.00. That was in September 2008. It is now January 2009 and have not received a dime. When Kay tried to send us out on another work order we told her we were having problems getting our money. She said that she just mailed out a check for $46.00 to us. This small amount was for a claim that they would not pay because they said they could get someone to replace a garbage disposal for $100.00. We never saw the $46.00. We have given them until the 20th of January to pay us before we file against them and unfortunetly the homeowner of the waterheater. If we win we can put a cumberance against the property since it is too late for a lein. What this company is doing is criminal. They are taking away money from homeowners and contractors.
Horrible. Wife called because our dishwasher died and unfortunately spoke with Kay, who was outright arrogant and demeaning and refused at first to even take the claim. She then said they would call us back and of course never did. After repeated attempts still nothing.
These people need to get taken to court in a class-action suit and I intend to look into it.
Globe warranties are a joke. I purchased a beach condo in Sept 07, had it inspected and bought a 1 yr warranty from Globe. In May 08 when the hot season began the A/C unit failed.
I called Globe for service and they had me contact a local company since they had no one in the area. The accepted their diagnosis that the unit was repairable but parts were unavailable on the unit. Globe authorized the unit to be replaced at a cost of $4500.
After much runaround and frustration the company offered me $500 to settle the claim. I wrote to the company president (Fred Peyton) and was told after a month or so that they would reimburse $1500 which I accepted.
I finally received a check in Oct 08 (5 months after the failure) but it was for only $500. I have been calling constantly since then to get the other $1000 but only get a litany of excuses. It’s now Jan 09 but I’ve still not received the $1000 and continue to get a litany of excuses.
Stay away from this company. There may be some good home warranty companies out there but this is NOT one of them.
Left 10 messages and not one response. I contacted the BBB and we finally got reimbursed for our AC 7 months later! Stay away from this company! They are awful!
I got the warranty with Globe after looking at their list of covered items and the fact that they were an BBB accredited company. We used another home warranty co the first year we owned our house, and they were a great safety net to have. Globe covered roofs as well as appliances, and that was what we were looking for. I didn’t probe deeply enough to see that their rating with the BBB is a D-! I can’t help but think I got involved with a real bad apple for my home warranty.
My dishwasher, a premium brand, broke down just before the new year. I called the claim in immediately, but after a week, I heard nothing from the appliance company. Eventually I called back a few times and they reassigned the job to another company. Two weeks after the dishwasher died, a tech came out to our house to have a look at the problem. The tech determined that the repairs would cost around $460.
I spoke with Josh at Globe and he said that they would either pay for the repair or provide recompense for a new dishwasher. I was sure to get the “Stellar” warranty package to ensure we could still keep the premium appliances that our house already has. They were going to pay $385 for the balance of the repair or $320 for a new dishwasher which they said is a premium replacement cost for ours given the features it had.
I did some research online and our Kenmore Elite brand cost at least $800 to replace. I called back and was told that if I felt I deserved more recompense than what they offered I should send a letter to their review board via fax. I did this and had to wait another week and a half of calling persistently to find out if the review board had approved the increase of amount (Josh said in another phone call that once the board made it’s decision someone would definitely call me).
Finally yesterday I get through and Josh and he says they are chasing up the vendor to get the parts for the dishwasher. I was surprised because first of all, no one told me the decision was made and then I did not tell them what I wanted to do. I asked if they would be willing to pay out the repair amount in cash and he said they would. I said I would talk to my wife first and get back to him.
I’ve tried twice to get through so far, once I get that there is no one at that extension, and the second time I get a fairly unfriendly lady who puts me on hold when I’m about to give her my warranty number and then tells me once I explain what I wanted to do, she puts me through to Josh’s voicemail, a black hole from whence there is usually no response.
Based on reading all the comments here, I dread on the wait for the claim reimbursement. I was told it would take 8 weeks to see the money, which is a right pain in the backside already. I just hope it is only that long.
Their customer service is pretty abysmal, they are fairly terse and unsympathetic, they’re lousy communicators, and only one person in the office seems to have the authority to make decisions. I would not recommend them to anyone. At this point, I might just have to make it through this year and use it as a lesson to research these things better.
We have a update to a earlier post in January. The realtor got into Globe and we received two checks for the least expensive of three work orders. The BBB of Central Florida said they could not help us so we filed a lawsuit against Globe. Court date is 10 March in Montgomery County General Sessions Court. We listed the homeowner as a co-defendant. He is kinda caught in the middle but our waterheater is in his home.
just a very bad home warranty co. to deal with
this company is as bad as they say they owe us money also have customers they owe money to, when is someone going to step in and stop the scharade.. bob lake in the hills heating.
This warranty came with the purchase of our home. We have been trying to obtain a reimbursement our water heater that went back in October. I have called constantly to follow up on the check and have received every excuse under the sun…the one person that works in accounting was on vacation for weeks with no one backing her up. When I called a few weeks ago they told me the check went out and they couldnt understand why I did not receive it?? They then had to stop payment on the check and “reissue” which would take another 2-5 weeks? This has been going on for way too long, I still do not have the reimbursement check after a ridiculous amount of phone calls and personal time. If you are in the market for a home warranty, do not use this company. On top of it all they are very rude and unprofessional.
OK my time to take revenge from these bastards. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this warranty. Warranty is for one year so the way this company makes money is by delaying your claim as long as they can stretch so they won’t have to pay you and your warranty time will be over meaning great return on investment for them. Our house is only 15 years old but we purchased the warranty any way and this is what happened to us. 1. Claim ONE: Our washer quit flushing water. I called in January 07. I called 16 times until March since tech never showed up. Each time “Josh” answered the call and reminded me that I’ve never called them before. Finally he sent me a Sears’s tech in April end who said Washer need to be replaced. One whole month after he left tech kept calling as Globe Home Warranty was delaying his payment. I was pissed. Now took me 8 times to call again and they gave me ok to buy a Washer we like and Globe will pay $150 bucks. Once done buying fax them the receipt and I will get my check in mail. I called countless times to check on my check and each time response was we never got your fax or accounting department is in “meeting”. I faxed the receipts 4 times, emailed twice, mailed twice with return signature confirmation. Calls from Sears Accounting never stopped and my check never arrived so I called MD DAs office. DAs office called “Josh” and Sears got paid and I got my stinking $150 check in ONE WEEK. 2. Claim TWO: One light in Kitchen quit working so I called again. Funny how each time I call I get “Josh”. To make the long story short again I had to get DAs office involved for “Josh” to send me a tech. Whenever I asked to be escalated to Manager Josh said I am the manager or all the managers are in meeting. DAs office told me don’t ever do business with this company. How pathetic. Now keep in mind each of these claims are valid claims and honored by warranty. But this is their scam to give you so much hard time that you will quit calling. I checked few blogs and I was shocked how bad this company is doing but unfortunately they are still in business.
Globe Home Warranty claims that they will get back to you right away if you submit a claim request, but I found this not to be true both times I called. I had a hot water heater break down in the middle of winter (not considered an emergency by their standards), as well as a sump pump fail. Both times I had to get my own subcontractor in to fix the problem because I did not hear back from Globe. Although I was given a small amount of money back for the water heater, I was not given anything for the sump pump because I had my own plumber do the job (even though this was an emergency and they did not get back to me in time to avert having a flooded basement). I found their claims department not only to be unhelpful, but to be rude as well. I know they must get a lot of complaints from rude people, but I was courteous for the entire phone call. They can place you in a catch-22; if you call or email to leave a claim and they don’t get back to you in time, but you must have the item fixed, they will deny your claim. This makes it difficult if you have something break on a Friday or during the weekend.
If I could give these guys a negative rating, I would. Any excuse to not cover your claim will be used; the policy is worthless
Chicago, IL. Help may be a phone call away. Warranty companies are (most times) regulated by the Department of Insurance in your state. In additon to filing a complaint with the BBB call/write your Department of Insurance. They are consumer advocates and have the authority to take Globe to task. They have regulations the companies must follow. Sometimes they exceed what the warranty says. The DOI also has Unfair Claims Practices that are not allowed.
My experience with Globe and Josh Gonzalez echos what all the previous postings have related. I am in the insurance business and have 25+ yrs claims experience. I thought I had delt with the worst possible companies out there, but IMHO Globe Home Warranty really takes the prize.
Document, document, document and call your Dept. of Insurance, especially those of you in Illinois. IL DOI has Globe Home Warranty on their radar.
Please don’t let them wear you down and give up. Otherwise they win. Make one more call to your state’s DOI. If they are not the regulating body, ask them who is. I wish you much success.
Too many negatives to write here. I have filed a complaint with the BBB of Florida regarding this matter. Basically my heater went out and it took a week to get their repairman out to the house (in December) and then he would not return any calls or come back to do the repairs. I was told I could get my own licensed repairman, which I did, and would be reimbursed for the coverage amount of $1500. I have now been fighting with Globe about getting this reimbursement since December 26, 2008. I have complied with all of their requests and they will no longer respond to me.
We have been with Globe warranty for more than 4 yrs. We “inherited” them the previous owners of our home. In the recent past we have had 2 separate repairs done (October, 2008 and December, 2008). We have submitted and resubmitted claims and numerous calls later we are no where close to having any resolution. We were told our claims were approved in January 2009. It is now April 2009 and still no payment. We are being told repeatedly we need to speak to accounts (of course no one picks up in “account” or returns calls from the numerous messages we have left).
I had 4 star ($389)globe home warranty for a year. I contacted so many time for plumbling problem by phone, email. Even submitted my claim online But never heard back for anything. Finally I did call someone else to repair and paid by own.
Most irony is, they called me at expiry date to renew warranty and I explained what all happened before even though she said we will look into that and said i can renew over phone. I rejected the offer. Not going back to globe again. “worthless”"
I wish I could say anything positive about Globe Home. I can’t. I’m just lucky that we only had to use them once, and only for a broken washing machine. In late November 2008, my husband and I found that our washer’s transmission had blown. We called this warranty company, who had been recommended by our broker (Hah!). They waited two weeks to send someone out to look at it. He told us, “The transmission is dead and you’ll need a new machine.” Fine. We paid $80 for that. We were told we’d get $300 in reimbursement. So we went online to Sears with my husband’s emergency credit card, and ordered a washer on sale for $399, plus $65 delivery and installation. We thought, hey, we’d only be paying $164 for a new washer! The reimbursement check didn’t come. I called them. They said it would get to us at the end of February 2009. Okay, then. February came. No check. March came and went. No check. I called them again in April. The lady I spoke with sounded very annoyed and told me, “The check will be mailed out any day now” – and hung up on me. WHAT? So, right, we still don’t have that $300 and my husband has already paid his credit card balance. But that money would have been really nice, you know? I will not be renewing our yearly 5-star service (pardon me while I laugh at this). I’ll be going with a different company. This is ridiculous.
Customer service is no service at all and not customer focused, actually rude. I have a “cash out” for a dishwasher I replaced following their confirmation it would be paid and after mailing, faxing and calling with the receipt (from January through April 2009) I have no check and no return calls.
As a Broker I often recommended this company, along with a couple others, to my clients. In the beginning – about 5 years ago – they appeared to be good. In the last 2 years they have become so bad that I no longer recommend this company to ANYONE!
This service is a scam!!! Do Not BUY
If you enjoy not getting called back and being spoken to rudely then you would like this company. I spoke to a first class jerk named “Jeff”. I’m going to call my realtor and let him know not to recommend this company in the future.
If you like to waste time and money, this is the company for you. I filed a claim for a problem with a built in microwave on 05/28/09. Of course they had to have the entire home inspection report faxed to them before they would agree we were entitled to make a claim. They informed us they had contacted a repair service and we should wait to hear from them. (WAIT being the operative word.) It is now over 2 weeks later and we have made repeated phone calls to Globe with no results. Our seller paid $379.00 for this “insurance”. What a waste. I intend to tell every realtor in town and contact the BBB.
Just bought my first place and inherited this Globe Warranty. What everyone here said about this company is right on. Their customer service is rude. They act like you’re doing something wrong and creating this conspiracy to suck them dry. I have called about my air conditioner not cooling the 2nd floor of my house. I even paid to have my own tech come out and submitted the findings to Globe. They told me someone has been dispatched and wait to hear from them. A week later I am still waiting for a phone call. I am 26 years old and have a major heart condition. My bedroom is 90 degrees which isn’t good for me. Is there anyone we could report this company too? I will write a letter a day if I have too.
This company, on 2 separate occasions, did everything they could to deny a claim, so I had to eat the loss myself both times to keep my clients happy. I will never write another. I was offended when calling them that they play Christian music on hold, though the way they acted was not in good faith.
I have been sitting here reading all these reviews and have something to add myself. Globe has been my provider for the past 7 years. They have saved me money time and time again over the years. Reading these complaints have me stunned! It’s apparent that alot of people don’t understand what their warranty covers. It does cover failure due to wear and tear. My neighbor paid over $4000 to an A/C company for a replacement unit. I paid a little over $280 because of my warranty. I think this site allows their competitors to talk trash about Globe.
Story way to long to write, but this company is a complete scam. They are rude, and totally committed to not paying claims. It was a total waste of $400, as we were forced to pay for our A/C repairs out of pocket.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to post something on here since I ran across this site on my way to the Globe web site. I have some personal experience with this company and wanted to share it as all I see on here is complaints.
I am a realtor in Miami and actually use this company, and have been for several years. I put a Globe warranty on all the houses I list and it is better for the potential buys and for me as well. I was using several different companies at first (been realtor for 6 years now) and now have gravitated towards Globe as they have done good by me over the years. There have been a couple of times where the home buyer did not understand the warranty and in every case, something amicable was worked out. At least twice I think Globe extended me a professional courtesy and paid for something they did not have to, just to make my client happy and of course, me also. I do sell alot of their warrantys, but I would not continue to do so if I thought there was an issue with them.
Don’t expect to get anything resolved in a timely manner. Never recieved a single phone call from claims adjuster after HVAC tech came out to look at problem. Hint: Keep your mouth shut when they start asking questions because your getting ready to get screwed! And when asked if you had a home inspection reply “NO”. Policy wasn’t worth the paper they printed the contract on.
I made a huge mistake getting a warranty with Globe. They are impossible to get a hold of, they NEVER return your calls, and God forbid if you have to pay for something and get them to reimburse you, it will only happen after you report them to the BBB.
I had an issue with my dishwasher in January this year, and it wasn’t until I lodged a formal complaint with the BBB in JUNE that Globe re-imbursed me. I called and left countless messages for Kaye and spoke with Josh and nothing happened, even though I was told I was approved for the re-imbursement. When I was at the end of my rope, I spoke with Josh and said that if I didn’t get a call back from Kaye that day, I would complain to the BBB. Josh’s response was, “I’m not going to sit here and listen to your threats.” What a jerk!
When I signed up with Globe in November ’08, I never got a copy of my policy. I asked for it repeatedly over several months, and I did not get it until August this year.
I cannot wait until my warranty runs out in December to switch to another company. I dread calling them if anything else happens. They are worse than useless because they promise to deliver a lot, then once they have your money, they are nothing but stress and heartache. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!
WOW, This is so sad that in the mist of crisis a warranty company is taking advantage of the people. People that work hard for there money and trust that a company is going to keep there part as a service provider. I as a subcontractor find a company like this with low standards and no values of no worth. Please be very careful when purchasing a warranty for your home. Landamerica Home Warranty is a place to go. They get there tech’s out nextday and have a deductible of 50 dollars. The contact relations persons are excellant and have great customer service skills available.
We are a plumbing contractor in Northwest Indiana. We signed a contract with Globe Home Warranty to do Plumbing Repairs. The contract we signed with them says “We pay all invoice 30 days from receipt of invoice.” We did a service call for them on 5/13/09. Today is 11/04/09 and we still have not gotten paid. We have called them at least once a week asking for payment. Every time the woman “Kay” acts like she doesnt know what we are talking about. She has told us on 3 different occasions that a check was cut or mailed out, in August, September, and October. Nothing yet! I am going to file a complaint with the BBB.
I purchased a home warrenty in Oct and I have yet to recieve my paperwork. I called for the 2nd or third time inquiring about my paperwork. Here it is about a month later and I have not received my paperwork. I called and was treated very poorly. I asked to speak to a superviser and she treated me nasty. I asked for a refund she said that she would give me a refund by check I paid by credit card why can’t you credit my card? I have had warrenty shields before and it doesn’t take this long to send out paperwork. The supervisor asked me if I had a claim no I just wanted my paperwork. She would not let me speak out talking me. I am just wondering if I will be credit. If not I am going to call again. If you are looking for a home warrenty don’t go with this one customer service is terrible!!!!!
This is nonsense. Every time a claim is denied, the cry of “I’ve been cheated” is screamed. No, you can’t go out and buy all new appliances and send the bill to the warranty company. That’s not the way it works, read your contract.
As a realtor, I’ve used Globe for years, and so have thousands of other realtors. Warranty companies are regulated just the same as insurance companies are. There is so much fraud from “consumers”, but no protection for the warranty companies except for their contracts. Every time I see a “problem” with one of the top 4 warranty companies, its because of a legitimate mistake, an unscrupulous realtor, seller or homeowner.
This is a good company and I am tired of the “Everyone is a victim” mentality so many people seem to have. For every claim denied, there are 100 approved and these happy clients don’t go running to an internet “complaint site” to brag about how great their service was. Think about it.
We just moved in into our new home back in July 09′ The seller offered to buy us the premium Global Home Warranty. Sun. night, the garbage disposal started to make an awful noise. Looked inside it and found parts broken off the unit. I called GLobal the same night and I was able to speak with a person on a Sun. night. I told him what happened and he told me that a contracted plumber will call within 4 business day. The next day, the plumber called and was ready to check the unit Tue. morning at 9:30.
Tue. morning, the plumber came and said that the whole unit needs to replaced. He called GLobal and they said that it would cover the parts and labor. The plumber went to Lowe’s and got an new garbage disposal unit, installed it and he asked for $50. Wrote the check and that was it!!
VERY HAPPY with the service and how quickly Global contacted the plumber.
Allen from Mt. Pleasant SC 11/13/09
As a contractor, had to wait about 4 months to be paid for a single invoice. Nobody answered the phone, Kay was a name quite often used when I did get a voice. It was only after informing Glove the Pa and FGlorida Attorney General and Insurance Commissions would be notified that we were paid. Contractors stay far away.
I have Globe home warranty for my house and I had a problem recently and the company after i told them, had a company called Standard plumbing come to my house. The response time was as quick as if i did not have a warranty. My only issue is with the plumbing company, Standard Plumbing. Globe should not use them to fix the warranty itmes because they tried to get me to upgrade and have Globe pay for it. This caused a delay in getting my repair done because globe would not pay for the upgrade, only fix what i already had, which is fine. I will keep using globe home warranty, but the next time something breaks, I don’t want Standard Plumbing to come fix it. I’m giving a 4 star because the plumber was no good, i know its not Globe’s fault but i had to deal with them.
I have the 4 Star warranty from Globe and have never used it for anything until just last week. On monday, just before Thanksgiving, our stove would not turn on. I checked the breakers but that wasn’t the issue so i called to have someone come look at it. My wife was almost hysterical as we were having some relatives in from Glen Burnie for dinner on thursday. Anyways, we talked to someone named Kay and she had one of their providers come out to the house and look at it. I am not sure of what the guy said the issue was, but it couldnt be fixed for a reasonable price, so Globe actually got us a new stove. Its not the same one we had, but a new model from Sears and I like it better. Well, I wanted to let people know that they really came through for us and had everything up and running by wednesday, just in time for Thanksgiving. Thanks again Globe!
We can recommend Globe Home Warranty. We had a clogged drain on Friday just after Thanksgiving. The contractor sent out was tidy and professional, and he cleaned out the lines very quickly. I am so glad we have the warranty, especially with our house full of visiting family at the moment.
This is the first part of a review. New owner, with the policy purchased in July as a gift to me.
Overnight my furnace kicked in and the motor begain making noise as if it is locking up.
I’ve called several times now to place a claim with no response.
09am EST – Left Voice to claims. 10am EST – Follow-up Call, went to voice mail (Left no message) 11am EST – Follow-up Call, left voice mail to claims. 11am EST – Called again, and chose Operator to determine if claims was avail;able, went to Kay’s voicemail. Left a message.
So far, very un-impressed. I’ll post more and a review rating when, if, but, someday, if maybe I recieve any response or service.
I had a 3 page rant on here but the details aren’t as important as the fact that the staff of Globe Home Warranty has consistently lied while on the phone with them. Never returned a phone call, stopped answering when I called from my home phone line.
Meanwhile I have a leaking boiler in the basement that has been inspected by two different service companies called out by Globe neither of which have been able to get Globe to accept any paperwork that says the entire boiler needs to be replaced. Faxes apparently go into a black hole, and phone calls aren’t returned or answered.
Avoid at all costs, tell everyone you know to avoid at all costs. Contacted my Realtor and the seller’s Realtor to spread the word in the industry. Meanwhile I’m contacting my state’s Department of Insurance, contacting my lawyer and looking into small claims court since it is appropriate for claims under 10k.
I acquired a Globe warranty when I bought this house a couple years ago and I had just renewed it just a month ago. I was actually not going to since we never used it, but its a cheap price to pay and now I am glad I decided to. We have a Carrier Heater in our attic that stopped blowing warm air about a week ago. I called Globe and left a message and someone called me right back and got all my details and had someone come look at the heater. It turns out some heating coil went out or something and anyways, it got fixed and it only cost us the $75 fee. It took two days for the heating guy to come to the house, but I guess he is busy this time of year. Globe did a good job and I have the heater working again for a fraction of what it would have cost if we were not covered.
HOME GLOBE WARRANTY
This company is a scam. I have experienced the worst customer service ever. The lady by the name of Kay literally yells, talks over you, hangs up on you, makes jokes as you ask to speak with a supervisor, etc. How can a company allow this kind of behavior from the customer service department? Of course i’m getting no call back, they use caller ID and don’t answer if they know you are waiting on a response to your claim. This is a joke for a company they should have a class action filed against them and be shut down.
Globe Home Warranty Company is a not a reputable company. They stall, they do not honor the contract that they sell, they try to change the rule.
Our furnace broke down. After a more than 24 hours they sent out a repair man, who claimed that the furnace should be comdemmed. Globe Home Warranty tried to refuse the claim that there were pre-existing conditions, which was not true. They then tried to rip me off by only offering to replace the furnace, but would not pay for the labor.
I intend to write letters to all local Realtor offices incouraging that they never sell policies from Globe Home Warranty.
I also intend to issue a complaint with the Insurance Commission in Illinois, which is where I reside.
By the way, the temperture in Chicago is currently 7 degrees and the according to the contract, anything below 32 degrees is an emergancy and overtime labor charges will be paid by Globe Home Warranty. What a joke.
I am submitting this as a courtesy to Globe Home Warranty since they took care of us last week. I normally don’t do this, but since we had a good experience, I thought it would only be proper. Last week as some others may know, we had quite a bad storm here in Indiana and got almost 12″ of snow where we live. Bad timing, but our furnace would not start the morning of the 28th. We have had a Globe warranty for 2 years now and have never used it, but I called and Kay actually managed to find a heating guy in our area and he was at our house the same day. Rob (heating guy) found the issue and got it fixed by about 6pm on Thursday , so it wasn’t too bad for the day. I was at work anyways and the kids were at school for the most part. It did cost me $75 for the service fee, but I beleive it would have cost me much more to get someone on my own. Thanks Globe.
As a contractor, we did 1 call for this company. The water heater was bad (leaking). We called and got an authorization number from Globe. We finished the work 8/9/2007 and have never been able to get paid. We have had numerous contacts with them and have even used a collection agency. They are the worst warranty company we have ever encountered.
I have been using Globe for over 10 years. During that time, my clients have had good solid warranty service from them. We all have different clients from time to time but Globe has served me well.
I had a water heater go out and it took me getting my agent involved(5 days)to get anything done. Know I am getting calls from the plumber upset that he has not been paid. I agree with everything the bad reviews claim. The good reviews are VERY obviously Globe Warranty posting them themselves. Do not buy from this company, you will regret it.
I had my compressor in my Air conditioner go out a few months ago. Globe sent 2 different ac guys out since the first one was taking so long. I eventually got everything fixed, but my only real complaint is the ac guys who were slow. It happened in January so it really didnt affect anything, but Im glad it wasnt in the middle of the summer. Overall, the warranty more than paid for itself.
This company will not answer the phone or hangs up on you. We have been without A/C for aproximately a month. They say someone is scheduled to come out and noboby comes. They have been running us around in circles and continue to avoid the claim. This company needs to be put out of business. I have generally the same complaints as the other postings do. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
This is in response to post #81 by Debbie King of San Antonio, TX. She leaves out all of the details of her situation and creates a very one-sided review despite knowing the issues in question.
The facts are as follows: Debbie called in an AC claim last August and we sent an AC company to her house to look at it. When the AC company got there, they discovered there was no physical access to the AC unit in the attic. The homeowner had to actually cut a hole in the ceiling big enough for someone to access the unit. The initial diagnosis of the AC unit was that it was 70% filled with dirt and debris. The filter was NEVER changed, ever. No maintenance was ever done on this unit and now it was malfunctioning. The warranty plan that the homeowner purchased does not cover lack of routine maintenance. Globe does offer a higher plan which would have covered this situation. The claim was denied and that was it.
Another claim was filed in April of this year for leaking freon. The leaking freon was caused by the unit being filled with dirt and causing corrosion and holes, thus allowing the freon to leave the system. Since this is a situation caused by the home owner’s lack of routine maintenance, the claim was also denied. Debbie says no one returns her calls, but they were returned and everything was explained as per the contract. How much time shall we dedicate to someone after a claim has been denied and they keep making harassing calls?
What is not mentioned is that this homeowner has had claims taken care of in the past. This is not her first claim with us and Globe has spent more on this homeowner than was paid for the warranty. Globe Home Warranty takes care of thousands of claims each year, but only the ones that are denied because they do not fall under the conditions of the contract end up on these internet review sites. We really do strive to provide the best service and product for our customers.
Well Globe Home Warranty I am glad you took the time to comment on ONE of hundreds of different complaints about your company. Have you take the time to respond to your F rating on BBB? No, I didn’t think so.
Here is a real review of Globe Home Warranty with ALL OF THE FACTS.
This company still owes me $537. Kay called me after we had a yelling match about why they refused to have a contractor come to my house and cover the water heater that was within warranty guidelines to cover. The reason they refused to send a contractor out was because NO ONE in my area wants to deal with them. All of the HVAC/PLUMBER people that have dealt with them won’t take them unless the customer pre pays and waits for reimbursement, the reason for this? Because Globe takes MONTHS to pay people. So no contractor will take their promise to pay and now I have first hand experience as to why. And Kay you can’t LIE your way out of this, I have a VOICEMAIL from you stating (over two weeks ago) that a ‘check would be in the mail’ and to my house in ONE week that was over two weeks ago. There are no other facts here other then what you may attempt to make up. I’ve called and left two messages with Lisa since last week and you’ve not returned my calls, why? Yet you can reply to this website?!? Why not reply to me, or the countless others that have had issues?
Let me tell you the FACTS about another issue with Globe Home Warranty. They tell you that if your heater doesn’t work and it IS or expected to be below 32 degrees call their so called emergency line. I called 8 TIMES on a friday night in a the DEAD OF WINTER and no return call. Saturday morning my husband and I call several more times leaving more and more message on their emergency line and still no return call. Finally, I sent them an online claim where it states not to send emergency claims but I did it anyways. Kay calls me about an hour later and says ‘ma’am, your not supposed to submit claims on the internet for an emergency’…I was floored! I know this, you moron, I’ve been leaving message for 24 hours now and can’t get a response from your crappy emergency line yet someone was available to answer messages but CHOSE to ignore it. It was in the low 20′s that evening and we had a child fresh hoome from ICU at CHOP with a heart surgery…nice~ Then the guy shows up on Sunday telling us that he doesn’t have the part and KAY refused to pay for overnight shipping for the part so that we didn’t have to go a few days without heat. We had to stay in a hotel for three days and Kay couldn’t be bothered. The heater did eventually get fixed but NOT ACCORDING TO CONTRACT.
So Kay when you want to use ‘it’s in our contract’ and just try to throw that in people’s faces maybe you and your company should practice what you preach. You can’t hold everyone else to your contract if you don’t uphold it either.
I want the $537 that you said was in the mail. You got it Katherine Vickery Hicks, I want my money…I need to replace my water heater. Besides, remember when I told you that the reason I didn’t want to PRE pay for this repair? I said it was because I knew I would never get repaid…THISS is exactly why I and countless others feel that way because despite whatever lies you come up with its TRUE…
We handle thousands of claims every year and pay out on about 95% of them. The remainder of the claims filed are not contingent with our contract, or the homeowner is making a false claim. Only the ones that don’t get paid end on internet complaint sites purporting Globe Home Warranty to be a bad company. Rarely do people run to the internet to post about what a good experience they have had. The posts that are made can be easily defended so long as both sides of the argument are heard and not skewed in an effort to bash the other party. Globe Home Warranty only has a fraction of the complaints that every other warranty company has with the BBB and we satisfactorily settle every single one.
In the case with B. Mahan (Edit: full name removed for privacy concerns), she has driveled off her side of the argument, exaggerating many of the facts. She called in a heating claim on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:23am. We had a vendor at her house the same day at 3:00pm. The part required to repair the furnace was available but since most parts houses are not open on weekends, it would be arriving on Monday. The part arrived Monday, January 25, 2010 and was installed, thus repairing the malfunctioning furnace. This was as expeditious as any independent vendor could have possibly handled the issue.
The $537 reimbursement check was for a buyout on a water heater. The normal procedure in this case is to have the homeowner purchase the item, then send us the receipt for reimbursement. Globe was willing to send her the money first, but now has decided to abide by the contract and wait for the appropriate receipt.
Here at Globe, we understand the homeowner’s frustration with having appliances or other systems malfunctioning and we do our best to resolve the issues. Sometimes, homeowners don’t understand that we have to wait for vendors to make time to schedule appointments and to order parts. A warranty is not a magic ticket to instant repairs, but we strive to keep the red tape to a minimum so everyone walks away happy.
Globe Home Warranty, you’ve lied about everything and you don’t even realize that your own response PROVES to myself, my attorney and EVERYONE ELSE THAT READS YOUR REPLY TO ME.
First, you ADMIT to stating you were going to send the check but have NOW decided to renig on that agreement…meaning you made an agreement and are taking back and have PUBLICALLY ADMITTED IT and what’s great is that you thought by posting that information it would help you in some way?!?
Second, you are a LIAR!!! I posted the claim on the heater on a FRIDAY and it didn’t get fixed until Monday which was OUT OF CONTRACT!!!!
Not all of the unpaid claims are within contract, and not all of the complaints here are unwarranted…after dealing with you I will make sure to tell everyone I know about your company…social media is a wonderful thing.
Globe Home Warranty, don’t forget Kay I have that voicemail too
and I have phone records to PROVE I called on Friday which meant over 24 hours had passed since the vendor came. I also have a check of the day the heater was repaired AND a copy of the check with the date of payment to that vendor. None the reason GHW wanted to do a buy out was because NO VENDOR WANTS TO DEAL WITH THEM IN MY AREA because they either don’t pay at all or take SEVERAL MONTHS to pay and I have physical proof…anyone can email me for it!
Any one reading this, just think about how professional this company must be…seriously. I’ve been emailing them and calling them for WEEKS since they PROMISED (and publically admit so here on this very website) to send that check in the amount of $537 yet how did I find out they are not going to honor their promise? By reading a reply to my complaint about having not received it! That’s REAL professional, seriously GHW you just shot yourself in the foot!
To anyone else having issues with Globe Home Warranty, please do as I have been instructed by the Pennsylvania Consumer Protection Agency.
Contact the Federal Trade Commision, your State’s Consumer Protection Agency, your State’s Insurance Commissioner, the BBB and any one else that your state may have instituted.
I am also going to put in a call to Dunn and Bradstreet! If they owe you money then you are a creditor and have the right to put a negative mark on their corporate risk rating!
This company is nothing more than an insurance scam. They will sell you the insurance for your home appliances, then when something breaks, they will do everything in their power to deny your claim. Do anything else but use these insurance scam artists. Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to agree with all the negative comments about this company! They are very nice when they are telling you about their services (and that is why I choose them) then when you call in a claim they put you through this questioner that is all to personalable and when I asked why they need to know all my business they told me that the service tech needed to know (do I live there permantantly, are we away from the home for lengths of time, we need to see the inspection report). If there are things that they would choose not to cover based on an inspection report then they should of asked for that before I paid for a contract, and no one needs to know when I’m home or not. So now they have you sold and now is the time for the otherside of these people to show. They are rood as can be, they put you on hold for long periods of times, hang up on you, and don’t answer your phone calls or e-mails. Sarah is one rood women, without going into detail about the whole thing, basically I cancelled within the 10 days of signing in Dec. 2009 it is now June 2010 and they still have not come through for me. They have refunded some of the $704, but has yet to send me an explination of cost incurred to me. When I called to get the information (mind you it was a miricale that they answered my call, although I was on a good hold)Sarah said “OK this is what it is and no matter what you say it isn’t going to change things” then she explained the charges…the amount of days we had the warrenty, the amount they paid out to the A/C company, a service fee to them of $75.00. So when I asked what the service fee was for she told me “this is something I don’t have to explain to you” OK (it’s my money and I have no right knowing what I’m paying for)so then I asked why they are charging me for the service from the company they said because you used the warrenty, OK so why are you charging for the warranty if I have to pay for the service rendered, couldn’t get a really good answer, so here is the kicker, I asked, Not So Nice Sarah if they have paid the A/C company for their service, her response “that is none of your buisness!” I said that I think it is because you haven’t paid them yet and you are collecting form me what they should of already had been paid back in Dec/Jan. I don’t know about you all but I think this is fraud!!! So I called back a few minutes later to ask her to send me an e-mail of the charges and credits (not the first time I have asked for conformation), she answers the phone, I tell her who I am and Not So Nice Sarah lets out a great big sigh, now I call that great customer service (it has been over a week now and still no e-mail). So if you want this kind of service company on your side, well all I can say is you asked for it. I say STAY AWAY from Globe Home Warranty and GO WITH American Home Sheild they are the best!! They are nice they don’t have a 9-5 Mon-Fri only service company, American Home Sheild is avaliable 24/7 with no questions asked. I have used AHS for years shame on me for trying someone new.
I have had my home for many years and as things began to show signs of ware about 10 years ago I decided to purchase home warranty insurance while everything was still in good working order. A Realtor friend suggested Globe Home Warranty. At that time he said they were reliable and would relieve any concerns about being hit by large unexpected repairs or replacements. And they would help me decide what still had life and what needed replacing.
My most recent experience was two weeks ago on a 90degree day, my a/c continued to run but was not cooling my home. The problems began late on a Friday night, I did my best to remedy the problem myself by switching things on and off but to no avail. By Saturday night we were melting. The temperature on the second floor was over 95degrees. I placed a call to Globe thinking I would leave a message for Monday morning. To my surprise the phone was answered by an efficient company representative who asked me a series of questions which determined that a service person would have to come out to check things out. They offered to have someone come out the next day (Sunday) but I said we had waited this long Monday would be fine. Before 8:00 AM a call came and the service person was there within the hour. It was decided that a whole new system was needed. This was reported back to Globe from my home. Before 5:00 PM a brand new 13 seer puron quality system was installed, My cost for all of this was $79.00. Cool and happy again!
This was the most expensive thing replaced in my home to date. Globe has come out for plumbing leeks, appliance repairs and now the replacement of the a/c unit. I am more that satisfied with my decision to purchase a warranty from Globe Home Warranty and will continue to have one for years to come.
We moved into our new home which was covered (or NOT covered, as I am finding out very quickly) by Globe Home Warranty. The first time we ran our dishwasher, we had flooding under the kitchen sink that leaked down to the basement and caused a lot of damage. We called Globe immediately, but they claimed that they had no proof of payment, so we had to contact our title company who then sent them our proof of payment from 2 months prior that Globe should have had. It took three days of being on the phone with very rude customer service reps for them to even file a claim. Then it took another several days for them to send over a plumber. Mind you, we could not use our dishwasher or kitchen sink for a full week, which is a big deal when you have kids. The plumber came and fixed the problem, but the next day after the work was complete, we found out that Globe would not cover us. When we tried to call and inquire about what was going on, we were met with much resistance and, again, horrible customer service. We explained that we understand that certain things are not covered but wondered why they didn’t have protocol set up to let us know BEFORE the work is done. Also, we tried to explain that we were dissatisfied that it took them several days to file the claim and another several days to send over a plumber for an emergency issue. We now have extensive damage under the sink, through the floorboards, all the way into the basement where it dripped all over our carpet and furniture. We would have hired a plumber to come over the day we had the problem but were told we had to wait on Globe if we wanted it to be covered, and now it’s not covered anyhow. My biggest concern is with the HORRIBLE lack of any courtesy or decency from their customer service. One lady thought she had clicked off the call with me and started trashing me while I was still on the phone! Unbelievable! We are going with a different home warranty service and advise anyone else to do the same.
I purchased a home in August 2007, and was not familiar with Home Globe Warranty Company. I dealt with American Home Shield for ten years, and decided to switch to HGWC. The company was authorized to deduct the fee from my checking account, and I never used them. The house is fairly new, and was built in 2000. In July 2010 I opened my garage door, and could not close it. I emailed the company, and never got a reply. It was Friday night, so I waited for Monday and I call the company. I was told that I was not covered, and my policy was cancelled by HGWC. I re-applied, and gave my bank’s information. I got a call from the company, and it was confirmed. The company will deduct $79 in July, and the monthly payment will start in August. I got a letter dated “June 21, 2010″ on “July 26, 2010″, and it states: The Underwriting Department has declined coverage for the above property. No funds have been taken for premium using the bank information submitted over the internet. At this time we are not able to place coverage. It is signed by Mr. Alexander Peyton, and HGWC gave me no reasons. I do not know excactly what to do next, but intend to complain because this is grossly unfair. I paid this company for three years, and was dropped for no particular reasons. It seems that insurance companies in Central Florida can pretty much do whatever they want without any consequences, and it is wrong. I would like to hear from others with similar problems with HOME GLOBE WARRANTY CORPORATION, and what can I do as a consumer to correct the wrong.
Do not purchase a warranty from Globe Home warranty. They cancelled my warranty when the first (only) claim was placed for AC repair.
Our Air conditioner stopped working, and my 2 year old son has asthsma and it’s triggered by the heat. I called several times about this, and 3 months later a contracted company came out to address and diagnose the problem, only to find we had leaky valves on our outside unit, and our coils inside the house were inefficient. I called everyday only to get an automated answering machine where I would leave my name, and number, and they never once returned a single call. Finally I told my husband to call from his work, and he was able to talk to someone, and they told him that they filed our claim away because our air conditioning unit was over 20 years old. When I requested a copy of our contract they were very rude and would hang up on me, then when I would call back immediately, I again received the automated message line. They’re very rude, very unprofessional, and unwilling to stand good on their word that they’ll repair or replace whatever is broken and covered within the time of the warranty. My son was hospitalized 3 times for his normally “seasonal” asthsma. I would NEVER recommend this corporation to anyone, and yet when I contacted my ReMax agent in Illinois, who recommended this company to our seller, to let her know about them, but she must not care, because she’s still recommending them.
I bought a home and paid for a home warranty with Globe. In the June my AC went out. I called to place a claim and after two weeks of unreturned calls and the run around I spoke with Kay who said that the claim was being denied, and that they would reimburse my premiums… but only because it was far cheaper to do that than replace my unit. I requested a reimbursement of my $79 service fee as well becuase the reason for the denial was based on information provided to them prior to the service call being made. Kay agreed. I have called Kay several times between then and now to verify that a check will be sent and she assured me it is processed and the check will be sent. Now I call today and she denies that she told me I would receive a reimbursement and they never reimburse service fees. She told me that I have to speak with somebody else in the accounting dept named Sarah…although she claims she is the accounting manager. I think my case will end up in court before long.
I submitted a claim for repair back in May. Globe refused to pay the fee of the serviceguy THEY sent out and told me to hire my own repair person and would be reimbursed, but could not tell me up to what amount they would cover or if it was all of the cost…I am still waiting for reimbursement. I have over a dozen calls to them and I get the same speach every time, claims tak3 6 weeks. It has been 4 months!! Every extension I dial, gets routed to “claims” when they pick up the phone which is like every 8th time I try to call. They have never gotten back to me with status on my check. They have refused to respond to BBB. Don’t use them, it is a scam and a rip off!!!!
KNOW YOUR STATE LAWS: I am a contractor and ADVICE to anyone considering this or any/home warranty company. We were called and executed the service call within 24hrs notice, very timely manner. We were advised from their sales dept. it will take up to 45 days to be paid from GHW. We are closing in on 90days and I have made countless phone calls to the company, leaving messages, being told someone will call me back, and routed to answering machines. FYI in the State of Floria, a contractor hired by a homeowner has 90days to file a lien on your house. If you let me into your house you have authorized my work!
I wish I could are Globe Home Warranty lower than “Poor”. These guys are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I had an A/C go down and needed to be replaced. Their contractor quoted over $3K, I had my own contractor replace the unit for just under $2K. GHW told me that if I paid the contractor I would be reimbursed within 30 days. It has been over 6 months and they keep lying to me…the latest is that the check was already sent…that was over 2 weeks ago. To make it better…they won’t pay the total claim saying that the whole unit didn’t need to be replaced, even though both contractors (one sent by them) said there was no other option. They can’t even tell me what the amount of the check they “sent” was. This company is a scam!!! DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
Globe is a Great company. I have had great service from them. I have been with them 3 years now and just had a my furnace fail. They dispatched a good HVAC contractor and they repaired the furnace which cost me just the $55 service fee and it was quick and painless. I recommend Globe to everyone. Great company.
Globe Home Warranty Company responded quickly and professionaly to my heater claim. My heater did not come on last friday. Globe sent a technician that confirmed a cracked heat exchaner. It was changed out on monday and we have a new Carrier 110,000 btu heater. Thank you Globe Home Warranty Company
I am a licensed contractor. They contacted my to do some repairs for their customers. I did the repairs and the problems were fixed properly. I waited and waited and am still waiting for the check to come in the mail! They totally use their customers, contractors, and probably anyone else they can get sucked into their little con game. So frustrating!!!!! Do not do business with company and save everyone a lot of frustration including yourself!
Horrible, horrible, customer service. They do not file claims in a timely manner, they do not return phone calls. I am surprised this company is still in business. You would think a company with this many bad reviews would want to do something about it and be a better company. I guess I am wrong.
Hey, is there anyway to file a class action suit against this company. I have found them to be liars – every one.Am currently looking for an attorney that handles breach of contract. Any suggestions?
I paid for home warranty coverage with Globe Home Warranty and was displeased with their unprofessionalism and poor customer service. They are quite rude, they don’t return calls, and two of their representatives hung up the phone on me multiple times. As a result, since I took out the insurance policy only a couple of days before these incidents, I faxed a letter stating that I would like my money back and to cancel the policy. The manager Alex stated my money would be returned to my account in 15 days. After I continued calling just about every week, he stated that it would take 30 days for the money to be credited back to my acct. Today is the 31st day and the $$$ has not been returned to my acct. No one should ever do business with Globe Home Warranty, they are unprofessional, possess poor customer service, and their business practices are illegal.
Our AC went out in mid June of 2010. Globe Warranty sent out a contractor to assess the situation. They did, and let Globe know that the unit needed to be replaced. It was grounded during a power outage during a storm front that went through. Globe told us that they would pay for the external unit (cost $3334) and we would be responsible for the internal unit (cost $777). This was due to the entire unit needing to be replaced because of the age of it and government phase out of R22 refrigerants. We paid up front on a credit card and were told we would be refunded the amount of $3334.
It has been over 7 months now and despite numerous calls with follow up emails to the company, we have not received a check. We have also not received any return phone calls as they have promised. We have not been able to speak to a supervisor as all of the reps in the claims departments state that they are the supervisor. We have also been told that we will receive something within a week, and still no phone calls, emails or anything in the mail. We have not received a refund and have been paying interest on this amount since June. We have not received any correspondence telling us why this hasn’t been processed. We have talked to people in claims, accounting and even a sales person who was there after hours who said he printed out oru information and gave it to the accounting department to be processed. My husband initially was calling the organization, but since I started calling on October 11, 2010, I have also followed up in email to claims@globewarranty.com with a cc to fjp@globewarranty.com. The fjp email address is the one listed on the Better Business Bureau’s website where this organization has a rating of F. The contractor they sent out was great, but even they stated that they would not do work for them anymore because of how they treat their customers.
I am a realtor in St. Charles that had purchased a sellers policy through Globe. The customer service is absolutely horrible and the sales representative is unconcerned about their lack of professionalism and proceeded to speak to me in the same unprofessional manner. I will certainly advise anyone I know in the industry not to purchase with this company. If I conducted business this way, I’d be out of business!
I have several properties and have Home Warranty from other companies. Globe is the worst one to deal with. They are just outright RUDE. Very Poor Customer Service. Their manager Alex is blunt and rude. I cancelled their service 1 month after purchasing it. They told me I will have to pay a pro-rated amount for 1 service call I had placed (which was mis-diagnosed by their contractor and I paid out of my pocket to get fixed). 4 months later, no refund. I called and left numerous messages but no one ever call me back. Finally after persistently calling for 1.5 hours, I got Alex who didn’t seem to care much about my issues. Never again would I use Globe warranty or recommend them to anyone. I hope the BBB address this company issues.
I am a plumbing contractor and was hired by Globe Home Warranty to install a hot water heater for one of their policy holders. It has been over 5 months and I have still yet to be paid a dime of the $585 they owe me. I have been told for over 7 weeks that, “the check will be sent out within the week” and recently, have been told twice, “we will pull up your invoice some time today and call you back” followed by a week of not hearing from them! They claimed to me just today that they don’t have a computer on which they can look up my claim number and that it takes several hours to “pull up an invoice,” whatever that means. The bottom line is, I bought a customer a water heater out of pocket, then installed it for free, and it appears I am not going to get paid back. Globe Home Warranty does not keep their word over the phone, is unorganized, has rude customer service, and shows zero concern for contractors who do work for them.
GHW has not paid us for a claim from Dec. 2010. I have left numerous messages (documented) as well as past due invoices. Several times their customer service reps. said they would look into the invoice and I have not received a call back. I have spoken to every department at least once and gotten VM for every dept. most of the time. I resorted to calling the customer and asking them to please contact GHW to spur them to make payment. Someone at Globe told them they did not have an invoice and to disregard any further calls from us. They are rude. I am in the process of sending them to collections and will be reporting them to the BBB and FTC. We will not do business with them again and will encourage the realtors we deal with to drop them.
I am a service contractor whom quickly and efficiently repaired an ac in the month of november of 2010. It is now 5/11 and can not get paid. I noticed all the good reviews globe home warranty has is not because of them but because the contractors that are doing a good job. That effort is motivated because we are thinking we are going to get paid. Globe home warranty is not paying the contractors so contractors beware. I wonder is their any government agency that can look into these rip off artist and put ceo and owner whom write their only good reviews behind bars.
worst warranty I have ever dealt with, very rude and unprofessional customer service. they take forever to process a claim, this company is a complete rip off.
The customer service I received from this company was extremely poor (the rep hung up on me), it took several days to receive feedback from a representative, and after two weeks my unit was broke AGAIN! I would not recommend this organization to anyone who truly is seeking a warranty. This company will waste your money and time.
I am a plumbing contractor that did business with this company. They authorized work but it took them 6 months to pay the bill. THey were rude, and used excuses such as they didnt get the dill lost it etc. Id never ever work for them nor recommend this company.
Our home warranty was included in the purchase of our home with Global Home Warranty. When I called for service to the dishwasher the repair person did not contact us for another 2 days. The repair person replaced the control panel since he said that was the cause of the cycles not working on the dishwahser. After waiting nearly a month for the replacement, the replacement control panel stopped working after 2 weeks. I called the warranty company again only to go through the same exact thing. Only this time the replacement worked for 8 days. Global Home Warranty indicated that they would not send the repairman out to fix the dishwasher and they were denying the claim due to a power surger. What I’m still trying to figure out is how they came to that conclusion considering no one came out this last time to inspect the dishwasher. I will continue fighting this decision as I don’t understand how you can make a determination without looking at the situation. Also, the repair person never mentioned anything about the dishwasher panel be burned up due to a power surge.
No services whatsoever !! Pathetic experience from my side. In 3 months, I could not get a policy document. On reporting a problem, all I got was rough behavior and attitude. After cancelling the contract with them, they did not even have the courtesy of returning/refunding me the overpaid amount.
My only two cents – Never fall in the trap of Globe Home warranty.
The only reason that I am stuck with Globe Warranty is because the previous owner purchased warranty from them as a buyer home warranty. I would NEVER pick this company and I suggest you to stay away from it.
This company does not stand on your side when you have an issue with your house. They will try everything possible to deny your claim. Please pay special attention on how you answer their questions when explaining your situation to them because they will find single words from your answers to turn down your claim to their advantage. Also, don’t sit and hope that they will get back to you on what they promised they will do. Follow up with them to make sure things get done because my experience is that they will NOT do it unless you call back!
We are an Appliance Service Company having been in Business over 59 years. I cannot tell you how we have been Calling, Faxing, E-mailing and finally Written to the Company Globe Home Warranty all of our invoices since JUNE 2010! We have been doing service with several Warranty Company’s and have been patient not honestly expecting payment under 90 days, however after one year we would expect any company to pay as they still continue to sell their Policies. They are still in business? We have even delt with companies that have gone out of Business and have gotten paid over less time. A CLASS ACTION SUIT would be fantastic! WE ARE IN!
Never showed us to diagnose my A/C problem for 3wks in May 2011. Rich, an employee at the claims department told me to find a contractor and send in diagnosis and they will reimburse me the difference in my service fee. I needed total replcement of HVAC. Rich told me to find someone on craiglist to take care of it and they will reimburse me according to my contract. Well they DID NOT since June. A contractor told me that they owed him a lot of money. Alex Peyton an employee told me that their company was the best and now I know better.
Globe Home Warranty is the absolute worst, customer service is horrendous (except for Rich the claims adjuster who is a gentleman, but although he may approve the claim underwritting has the final word),I have a few properties in Orlando all supposedly covered by Globe, recently I had a dishwasher break down,I called Globe they told me to have the unit serviced that they would reimburse me.Simple enough? HA!,I paid 70.00 dollars for a tech to come by and deem the unit unreapairable,I contacted Globe explained the situation they requested documentation from the Tech which I faxed them, they then “authorized” a replacement and told me to pay for it that they would reimburse me minus the 75.00 deductible,I went to Sears purchased the least expensive dishwasher because I am a fair and honest person and I do not take advantage and I had it installed by Sears.I sent Globe all the paper work they requested and the claims adjuster told me they would send me a check for 311.00-386.00 minus the deductible,It has been 2 months and still no check,I contacted “KAY” at the underwritting dept to get a status on my claim.I am 50 years old and I have never come across a ruder nastier individual in my life. The woman has serious mental issues and absolutely no class. She answered the phone by saying “WHAT!”,I explained to her that I simply wanted to know when my check would be issued, she went on to rudely ask me if I had read the fine print in my policy, she told me they would only send me 200.00 dollars because that was the price a “builder” pays for a dishwasher,I am not a builder. She also said that they would not pay for installation of the unit because i could have installed it myself!-I was amazed-I express my concerns and told her that It was not fair and that I would not accept that, because my claim had been approved for 386.00 minus the deductible, she told me that “If I did not understand what she was saying to me that she would hang up on me”-It has been 2 months and still no check,I reported them to Florida BBB and Consumer Affairs and the Florida dept of licensing and I await their response. This company is a JOKE – save your money and STAY AWAY-When my policies expire you can bet that I will not renew them-STAY AWAY FROM GLOBAL THEY ARE THIEVES!!!-JLB Realtor
Dont be a fool and buy a GLOBEHOMEWARRANTY policy. This company is deceitful and they DO NOT honor their contracts. I have been trying to get reimburst by them for MONTHS,I followed their instructions,MY CLAIM WAS APPROVED by Rich at the claims department I sent them all the requested documents, they acknowledged that they received them BUT THEY DO NOT PAY! its that simple I still call them almost everyday and they always give me the run around they say they will call you back after they research your complaint/issue and they NEVER do.Please go the the BBB of your state and look them up for yourself. They do not respond to BBB inquiries. There is a reason why they have so many negative complaints, because they DO NOT HONOR CLAIMS, all those negative comments and complaints can not be all wrong. I am not trying to demote the company they are doing a perfectly good job of demoting themselfs on their own nor am I being unfair or unjust I am simply stating the truth and I dont want what happened to me and countless others to happen to anyone else,my appliance broke,I was covered for it,I was told to purchase a new appliance and that they would reimburse me.It has been a long time and still no check-DO NOT BUY A POLICY FROM THIS COMPANY YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU WILL REGRET IT,THEY JUST STEAL YOUR MONEY. AND THATS THE TRUTH THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
We are an Appliance Service Company having continued in this business for over 59 years> We have had our problems believe me with GLOBE HOME WARRANTY CO> It had been well over one year before we recieved payment for services rendered the same day as the request. What we felt we were up against a company going bankrupt as had some of the companies we had delt with having never gotten any money to the extent of what was owed to us. HOWEVER, as of today we have had all invoices PAID in FULL. We have been now entering the agreement we will continue doing service for their customers having to be paid before another service request would be obliged. The powers that be indicated they HAVE downsized (Haven’t we all) and are NOT going out of business. We were instructed we would get paid over 6 weeks and basically that was what did occur. We feel for all others as I do not know what will become of the future, however we are still willing to go one step at a time in hoping they maintain the good faith. There are changes for the good made apparently so before you give up entirely on this company, give one more try for payment. As for other service needs we are unable to comment as we are solely a SERVICE provider.
CONSUMER WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE A HOME OWNERS CONTRACT/WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY,it is practicing fraud and consumer deception,A consumer complaint has been filed with the United States Attorney General, the Florida State Attorney General, the Florida State Better Business Bureau,Florida’s Consumer Affairs & Agriculture Dept,The Florida State of Licensing Commission and the Federal Trade Commission,Also I am currently in consultations with a Florida based law firm about the possibility of a class action lawsuit against GlobeHomeWarranty. If you are a policy holder, contracter or repair service and feel your claim has been wrongfully denied or you have not been paid in over 120 days please contact me at JoeLuisBatista@aol.com so you may participate in our class action lawsuit against this company. If you have been paid you are not eligible to participate.Florida statutes and constitutions offer protection for consumers against fraud. If we prevail in court GlobeHomewarranty will be held liable for all cost including court costs and attorney expenses.
WARNING! I called this company who I hold a policy through because 2 months after I bought the house my electric went crazy. It was like a strobe party in my house. I checked my policy and it said this was covered. I called and asked whom I was speaking to and he asked, well who the hell am I speaking with. Rude customer service. I then told him the problem he continued to be rude and said they wouldn’t cover his, over the phone diagnosis of my problem. I said isnt this a fire hazzard. employee 310 (I never got a name) told me oh no its not. The next day my fuse box was completely melted. I called again and asked for a supervisor and he told me I didnt need to speak with one and I was hung up on. After 4 more attemps and 4 more hang ups, I got a call back from a suposed supervisor who was just as rude, who told me I had to pay for it to be fixed, then send them a reciept, and they would determine if it was covered. Which again he diagnosed it over the phone and said it would be turned down. COme to find out My family and I were in danger of a fire and it should have been covered as specified in my policy. btw, there over the phone diagnoses was wrong. I have never been treated like that. BUYERS BEWARE! I do intend to seek further help in this matter due to that fact I am obviously not the only one they have gladly taken money from and have not provided the service paid for.. This company May claim its complicated but it sure takes your money with a smile and then when you need anything that would cost them a dime they are rude and down right mean!
I have had Globe Home Warranty for many years and have found there service to be nothing but satisfactory. Over the years of my policy I have found that there are items they do not cover and it was upsetting but overall they have treated me fairly. I have also had dealings With Jose Batista and have found that he is dishonest and unprofessional. Be leary of anything he says. Do not do business with him.
I purchased a new home that included a home warranty (Globe) purchased by the seller to ensure and provide protection that the house was in good condition. After a couple months, I had problems with the oven, garage door opener, and the toilet. I called globe several times, and when a finally was able to speak with a customer service rep, they were very rude. He told me the toilet and the garage door opener would not be covered. If I wanted to have the oven checked, I had to pay a service person up front when they got to the house and then they would diagnose the oven. A service person showed up and I paid him $65. After checking the in wall oven, he indicated that the thermostat needed replacing, but due to the age, he would not be able to find any parts for it. Globe became extremely rude. Refused to replace the oven and never made another attempt to repair/replace my oven. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hope something is being done cause I would hate to see others ripped off like I have been.
