I am writing this review because of the service I received from Globe Home Protection. Last week my dryer quit working. It would run but it did not heat or dry my clothes. I ended up having to take everything to the laundry mat which was very inconvenient. I called Globe Home Protection the next day and they sent out a service company that seemed pretty experienced. He looked at it for just a second and said he needed a part. I guess my problem was pretty common because he had one on his truck. He had the thing working again before he left. I did have to pay my $75 service fee but it was well worth it for the service. Globe did what they said they were going to and fixed my problem. I am very pleased with the service. ..View less

I called in my broken water heater and they managed to get a plumber out the next day. He showed up in gloves and a mask and was respectful of space. I was hoping for an easy fix so he would just be in and out but it needed replacement. After a call to Globe off he went and returned with a new water heater. The thing was huge compared to my 20 year old piece of junk. He was in the garage for a couple of hours completing the job. The new one has a 9 year warranty on it from the manufacture so I’m set for a long time to come. It actually went as well as it could have possibly went. The plumber was out the next morning and found that there was a leak that was dripping down onto the burner putting out the pilot. There was no fixing it. It was reported to Globe and they put a new water heater on will-call at the home depot down the street. The vendor took a lunch and picked up the water heater. He came in and replaced it. It took a couple of hours. That thing is a beast compared to the old one. I am very happy with the new unit. I don’t expect to have any issues for years. They actually shipped the new microwave directly to me so when it arrived I gave a call to the guy that was out originally and he came out to put it in. I got a call back about an hour later letting me know that they received the call and have been working on getting a contractor out. Supposedly the Most comprehensive. When u debate the issue they hang up on you. I called claims to verify item was indeed covered which rep said it was only for claims supervisor to say it wasn’t only after the work had been done. Shady people. I had never heard of them so I went online and found them. I was not impressed with their website. It was older and very simple. At least they knew how to work on ovens. Good afternoon everyone in review land. My name is Rachel and I want to tell you about how Globe came to the rescue when my air conditioner broke. I live in Orlando and the temperature is starting to reach up to 90 so I needed help right away. I called up Globe and spoke with a nice gentleman named James who helped me place my claim. He assured me that they would treat my case like an emergency and that they had many AC vendors in my area. A company called me within a couple of hours after hanging up with Globe and they were able to see me that afternoon. The company that stopped by was no one I had heard of but was courteous and kind and told me he would return in the morning with the parts he needed. I ran the ceiling fans that night and I was lucky that it still cools off in the evenings. I can only imagine if this happened in the middle of summer. True to his word he picked up the part needed on the way to my home and fixed my ac. Besides my air conditioner breaking and having to deal with the inconvenience of the whole thing I know that it went as smoothly as it could have and probably as fast as it could have. I'm sure I bought the home like this because the owners before me were always parking in the front yard. Every time I viewed the house it was full of cars. Globe wouldn't help me because it was beyond the scope and outside in the yard. I spoke with a couple of managers and they went over the coverage and gave me their reasons for not covering it. In the end I kind of understand but not particularly happy about it. They only cover what they cover. I plan on checking with an attorney to see if I can get the seller to pay. Right after that my refrigerator quit. Called Globe again and they sent out a company from right down the street. He signed its death warrant as a Freon leak that couldn’t be fixed. Now here is where Globe came through. They delivered a new refrigerator two days later. The refrigerator must have cost every bit of a thousand dollars and it was real nice to see that thing coming through the door. So I know a little more about warranties and I am generally happy with this company. At least they were clear cut and showed me what they don’t cover and showed me what they do. Wish I could give zero stars but I’ll keep this as short as possible since I don’t want to waste any more of my time on this ridiculous excuse for a company: they’re scammers. They have the worst customer service in the world. Once they get your money upfront, they’re unhelpful with everything. They’ll over charge you for services, hire people without licenses, when you ask for a copy of the worker’s license that they sent out they refuse to give it to you, they refuse to fix the issues their contractors created, they refuse to provide a copy of their cancellation policy, refuse to give you a breakdown on your refund, refuse to let you speak with a supervisor, ignore your calls and emails, and take your money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have never in my life had a company refuse to assist their customers. They literally ignore all of my phone calls. I’ve called them multiple times and they don’t answer. I’ve been sent to voicemail on multiple occasions after the 2nd ring. And no, they’re not busy. Because I’ve had friends call for me at the same time and their phone calls get picked up right away. Even my realtor said they answer every one of her calls on the first ring. But never mine. Because of caller ID, they ignore customers they don’t feel like talking to. I’m so glad I cancelled my policy with them. I just wish I never purchased one to begin with since they kept over half of what I paid (paid $400 and got less than $200 back) for only having the policy a month and 10 days. Mind you, I had already paid $150 for them to send out an unlicensed plumber (I googled the contractor since they refused to give me a copy of his license and found out he’s not licensed in plumbing) to create a leak in my bathroom. So I paid over $300 for them to give me a leak when all I called for was to have my toilet stop running for 10 minutes after flushing. What’s even worse is I would’ve never known about this company if it wasn’t for my realtor. Luckily she took them off her list and will no longer be doing business with them due to their horrendous customer service but it sucks I had to work with them in the first place. Alex, Love, and especially Don are all rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. If you think my experience is just “one of the negative ones”, check the BBB site. They have over 50 complaints within the last 4 years and are not accredited. There’s a reason. Steer clear of this mess of a company. Hopefully they go out of business soon. ..View less
