Globe Home Protection was great last week. We called them about our furnace for the first floor. Thank goodness all of the bedrooms are on the second floor but it was freezing in the family room. I was very firm with the company that they had to get someone out ASAP. They were able to get an appliance person out the next morning. I was pushing that they should have had someone out the same day. The person they sent was competent though and knew what was wrong but had to leave without fixing it because he had to order parts. We are using a cooler for our food and that is unacceptable. I called the warranty company and spoke with a manager. They agreed to put a rush on the parts and overnight them. The warranty company shipped them to my house instead of the appliance person for some reason so I called them when they came in around 1:30 that day. The contractor was back that afternoon and got the refrigerator working again. I was three days without a working refrigerator. When I signed the bill though with the contractor and saw that it was a $720 bill. That is money I do not have to spend right now. It would have set me back pretty bad with my bills. This home warranty company uses deceptive and deceitful practices to not pay out their claims. 1) They treat their customers with active contempt 2) They're dishonest 3) They hide behind anything possible to not pay out claims Their contracts include the term "unknown pre-existing conditions" - a catch all, which can be used to negate nearly any need for them to ever meet their obligations ..Read Full Review

I asked that he email me information about the coverage and I learned a little about it. You have to have a cleanout for them to snake from and if you don’t know where it is they won’t pay to have the plumber dig up the yard looking for it. The plumber they sent had to look for a few minutes with me but thankfully he found it on the side of the house. If they can’t find it they won’t pay to add a new one. So basically you have to have a cleanout ready to use for the plumber to snake the line, which makes sense. Anyways he was able to unclog the pipe and fixed my problem. Everything drained down and I had some cleaning to do. It worked out great for me but I can see how it might have gone differently and I might have had to pay for a new cleanout or something. On Globe’s part the rep was helpful. They got a plumber out the same day I called with the issue and the plumber fixed the problem under the warranty. Just how it is supposed to work. 5 stars this time for Globe. ..View less

I now have a fully working oven which is awesome.This warranty worked great for me. You can’t cook food in a microwave. Microwave cooked food tastes disgusting. It’s only good for reheating. I called in my broken water heater and they managed to get a plumber out the next day. He showed up in gloves and a mask and was respectful of space. I was hoping for an easy fix so he would just be in and out but it needed replacement. After a call to Globe off he went and returned with a new water heater. The thing was huge compared to my 20 year old piece of junk. He was in the garage for a couple of hours completing the job. The new one has a 9 year warranty on it from the manufacture so I’m set for a long time to come. It actually went as well as it could have possibly went. I had a pretty good experience with Globe last week. It’s been a pretty mild winter so far but when you lose your hot water it’s a real inconvenience. The plumber was out the next morning and found that there was a leak that was dripping down onto the burner putting out the pilot. There was no fixing it. It was reported to Globe and they put a new water heater on will-call at the home depot down the street. The vendor took a lunch and picked up the water heater. He came in and replaced it. It took a couple of hours. That thing is a beast compared to the old one. I am very happy with the new unit. I don’t expect to have any issues for years. They actually shipped the new microwave directly to me so when it arrived I gave a call to the guy that was out originally and he came out to put it in. Then contractor does work but was supposed to give a diagnosis first so they charge u for work already done and not approved Leaving u out of pocket. 4) best one is that they say they told u item was not covered but send out a contractor anyway. and this is for the stellar plan mind you. Supposedly the Most comprehensive. When u debate the issue they hang up on you. I called claims to verify item was indeed covered which rep said it was only for claims supervisor to say it wasn’t only after the work had been done. Shady people.
