Well I had a good experience! I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time. Globe helped in my situation and so I am pleased. I had to use them for a problem this past week. Of course an air conditioning problem. I called and they had a AC person out pretty quick. They were able to have a him out about a day and a half of me calling. It was just blowing warm air and I thought it just needed more coolant. Globe ended up replacing a very big part of the component though. I had some out of pocket expense but from what I can see they spent like a thousand dollars. I thought it would be a minor fix but you just never know. What a life saver! Another warranty scam. Something goes out that says is covered by the warranty and they tell you it has to be approved by the review board then they claim it isn't covered. Not mentioned in the contract. Will be filing a complaint with my states Attorney Generals office for fraud.

A good overall experience with Globe so far... My heater stopped working last week and it feels like we are still in the middle of winter here in Chicago. I called last Monday and spoke with a nice young man who took my claim. A repair company was in contact later that day for my appointment. When they arrived he offered me a detailed explanation of what happened. The motor in the heater stopped working and they left to go to the supply house. Once they came back it was only about a half an hour later and they were able to get it working again. Everything occurred just about how I thought it would work. It's just trouble whenever things like this happen. A day off work and having to deal with repair people and time frames. It's never fun. My home does have heat again so I should not complain... I hope I do not have to use them again but it's easier to deal with them than to handle it myself. Of course, my issue was covered under the warranty this time. A good job though in handling this situation. view less

Hey Globe! What a warranty company! They did great for me last week. I had a problem with my refrigerator and they really came through. The whole thing was dead and not cooling or freezing a thing. I called Globe in and their guy found a bad compressor. A few days later and I'm up and running! I saved a bundle because of them. I would give them 5 stars but I NEVER give 5 stars. I bought my house a few month ago with The home Warranty from Globe Home Protection. My refrigerator quit working after 3 days of dealing with the customer service department and service tech someone finally came out and told me it was the control panel. I was told be the claims department this was not covered because of power outage. After looking at the contract there is nothing that warranty does cover. The way the contract is written they can say everytime that is not covered the list of items not covered is a paragraph long. The items that are covered is only 1 sentences long. This company is the biggest crooks I have ever dealt with. I will be telling everyone I know buying or thinking about buying Home warranty Plan not to go with company. view less

I had a great experience with Globe. I thought there was something wrong with my dishwasher but was not sure if I should call. It was leaving dishes dirty but it was running so I was not sure if there was something really wrong. Possibly I was overloading it or if I needed to switch soaps but I called Globe and spoke with a gentleman and he went over what it possibly could be. He was very knowledgeable about dishwashers and basically left it up to me to decide whether to go through with the claim. If there was nothing wrong with it then I would lose my $75 deductible. Based on what the representative told me I decided to call someone out. It turned out that one of the sprayer arms was bad and there was a problem with it. The appliance person ordered the parts and returned and fixed it! I knew there was something going on with it. I am glad I called and spoke with Globe. They were very helpful. view less

This winter has been so brutal it's unbelievable how cold it's been getting. It gets down to 7 degrees at night and only got to 31 as a high today. My furnace stopped working over the weekend and people can die in this kind of weather. I called their emergency claims line and I left a message. I received a call back within several minutes and spoke with a gentleman that said he could help with a contractor. It was Saturday morning and he was able to make it to my home late afternoon. I made due with a space heater until then. The contractor was able to fix my furnace and get my heat back on. I was so grateful to feel the heat coming from my vents! I did not want to imagine trying to get through the night with it not working. Globe really came through for me and were there when I needed them. I can vouch for this company and would recommend. Hello Home Warranty Reviews, I had a recent interaction with Globe Home that I would like to share. My double oven stopped working and I contacted them for service. In my opinion the claims person sounded like he had had a long day but the conversation did not last long and he informed me that I would hear from their appliance company in the next day or two. It was day two when I received the call from their appliance company. When he came out I was told it was a bad circuit board and it was not available. I had assumed I would get a new oven but instead Globe Home said they were going to try and fix the board. I was a little upset because he left with the board and I still had no working oven. The same Globe customer service person contacted me and told me they were shipping the board out for repairs and it could take a couple of weeks before my oven would be functional again. I was contacted by the appliance person a week later stating the board was in and he was going to attempt the repair. I think they took a chance because who would know if the part could be repaired but I do understand that a new oven is a couple thousand dollars so they are going to try. In the end their gamble paid off and my oven is working properly again. I like my oven so I am pleased. The only minor complaint I have is that it took almost two weeks to get the final repair done. As it was only my oven and not my heater I am fine with this. Overall they got the job done and they got a good price for the repair which makes sense for them and I have a working oven again. view less

Good afternoon! My microwave started sparking and making a horrible sound last week. I really thought it was going to start a fire! There was lightening in the compartment and it sounded like a LOUD electrical transformer was humming! I stopped it and called in to Globe. I was able to get someone on the line in just a few rings and I put in my claim. The claims process is quite a few questions but does not take that long. They requested model and serial numbers and I guess that is all standard stuff. When the service man came he was a pleasant fellow and he informed me I needed a magnetron and had a deteriorated plate and it simply was not worth repairing.

Excellent! I get a new microwave. Globe had no problems with the report and told the nice fellow to replace the microwave. The next day he stopped by the house and my wife tells me he made short work of the installation. This is a nice service to have and we will be looking for our renewal paperwork. view less

What a good company I have found with Globe. When I have a problem I called last month. My ac it keeps stopping and they sent someone to help. The company put ink in the ac and found a leak in the inside piece. Everything is fine after they change the part. I know that if it stops I can call and they will send someone to help. Family will be here soon it is December and I know everything will be ok. Hopefully I dont need anything! view less

We have a swamp cooler which I had never heard of until I moved to Arizona this year. So many things pop into my head when I say that we have a swamp cooler but its worked pretty good last summer. So last month we were still getting high 80's to low 90's. Another thing to get used to as we moved from New Hampshire. I called Globe and they sent a contractor to take a look at it and it turns out the thing is a rust bucket. The only thing Globe could do is replace the whole thing. I cant say enough about the people that came out to replace it as the thing is on our roof. They were amazing and had it installed in an afternoon. Globe coordinated everything and I had some out of pocket but nothing like if I had to pay for the everything. It was a relatively good experience and I can definitley say I would recommend this company. view less

First time buyer here and Globe has made my life a little easier. I have been here for about 4 months now and have run into a few issues. This last interaction convinced me with write a review. They helped me so far with my dishwasher and a pipe leak. My last problem was the worst. My water heater started leaking and went everywhere in the garage. Minimal damage so its not so bad but I have a newborn and really need hot water. Its nothing but bottle and laundry at me house so I let them know my situation. I don't know if it changed anything or not but they had someone out the next morning and ended up replacing it. That saved me close to a thousand dollars and that was so needed right now. I thought I would write a review because of the help I've received. I hope all of their customers are not like me because they would be out of business. They have been a great help to me. view less

My icemaker was fixed with no hassle, and my A/C last summer was repaired....and even though it sucks my Heater went out today, but I have peace of mind that Globe will take care of me and not have to worry about that part!! DO NOT USE. Absolutely horrible and crooked company. I have been dealing with them for 10 months trying to resolve an oven that broke while under their warranty. Globe never answers the phone or returns calls or emails. When I finally can get a hold of them, their customer service reps are often rude and unhelpful. It's a long story:

They started by saying it wasn't covered (wrong- it's in the contract).
They finally agreed it was covered.
They sent the cheapest/least experience technician they could find.
Technician was unable to repair the oven.
They decided again to tell me that it wasn't covered.
I threatened legal action.
They finally agreed (again) that it was covered.
Sent a more reputable technician.
Second technician was unable to repair the oven.
Globe told me they would have to reimburse me for a new oven.
I buy a new oven and send the receipt.
They say that a check will take 30-45 days.
No check shows up.
I FINALLY reach them and they say AGAIN that it's not actually covered.
I threaten legal action again.
They say fine, the reimbursement will take 30-45 days.

Well guess what: AGAIN it's been over 45 days and there has been ZERO correspondence. Shame on me for thinking that they would do their job. They NEVER answer the phone or return calls or emails. The next person to contact them will be inviting them to court. view less

I had a broken refrigerator that Globe was taking care of. Total loss and needs replacement. They first wanted to send me one but how do they know what I want. I told them No. I would have to give final approval on anything in my home. They asked me about color and told me they would only get me something similar to what I have. I asked to talk to a manager and he told me I could take the money and get what ever I like. That is more what I want to hear. I will go buy my refrigerator. They can send me a check. Good morning. I wanted to send this review in on behalf of Globe Home. They did me a huge solid this past weekend. My septic tank was full and we couldn't use the toilet or anything. I called in to Globe Home on their emergency line because it was a Saturday and I spoke with a Bryan. Very helpful individual. I spoke with him about 5 times that day to work out the logistics in setting an appointment and having my son meet the septic company. I am very lucky that the people that sold me this house paid the extra money to add my septic coverage. That saved me here along with Globe's service. They pumped out my tank and it only cost me $75. That, I know is a deal! I'm going to email them about how helpful Bryan was also. He helped tremendously in working with us to get the job done. view less

I have had a recent experience with Globe that I would like to share. My furnace stopped working last week and I contacted Globe for help. I was not placed on hold and I was able to reach a representative immediately. I explained my problem and the fact that the weather is cold here in Illinois. They acted quickly and I was contacted by their contractor probably an hour and a half later. An appointment was set for late that afternoon and he was more or less on time. He was out there for only a few minutes and knocked on my door to explained that I had a motor that stopped and he would be back. An hour later he returned and made the repairs. I was so pleased that things moved so quickly. I hope all of my experiences with Globe are like this. I can see why they have high star ratings. view less

I called a couple of weeks ago I called Globe for help with my electric. I had no lights to my living room and bedroom. Globe sent out a guy that next day and he was very busy. He came and he left and he came back. He said that what I have is very old and they dont make them but he was going through his parts to see if he could find one. He finally found my part and he said Globe and I am lucky because he found it. That he saved a lot of money because he would have to change everything. OMG - it's freeeeeezing in New Jersey!! My boiler stopped working a couple of days ago and I used my Globe Home Warranty. I want to let everyone know that they came through for me! I had not used them before and I've lived here for almost a year. I guess I've been lucky until now. So I called them and I went through all of their questions. They said they would have someone out ASAP. That turned out to be the next day but I'm not complaining. I have a space heater to get by. So they got here and the company sent out a really old guy. He knew all about my boiler though and after about 2 hours he got my heat going again. I'm warm and toasty again so I figured I'd give a shout out for Globe - they did great for me. view less

My review is a simple one just like the claim. I woke up in the morning with a leak underneath my kitchen sink. I shut off the water and called Globe on the way to work. One thing I like about this company is that they use LOCAL contractors. The contractor they called for me has his place of business about four blocks over. They weren't trying to send someone from Garland or Dallas even. I was able to meet the guy on my lunch hour! He changed out a valve and a section of pipe and I was good to go. Only 14 minutes late back to work from my lunch - I work for myself though but I like to stay on schedule. Like I said it was a simple issue and a simple solution. view less

When I purchased my new house and I kept my starter home as a rental. I was not sure what to expect from tenants as this is my first rental. It could be a disaster depending on who moves in. I spoke with a few people that have a little more experience than me and one recommendation I got was to place a home warranty on the home. I followed this advice as this is a somewhat inexpensive way to give me a little bit of security in this whole situation. It was one of the better decisions I have made placing my home warranty with Globe. They have been quick to respond to any problems at the home. I just call the problem in and give them a description of what is going on and a vendor contacts the tenant and makes an appointment. I do not have to go through all of the trouble of getting a vendor to respond. It has really made life easier for me and most of the time it is something covered and I do not have to pay for anything. I would make the same recommendation to anyone in my situation. My new neighbors told me about Globe when they moved in because they had had a good experience with them. I placed my warranty and my coverage started a month later. Sure enough a few weeks into my policy I needed to call them. My cooktop completely stopped working and was giving me an F-3 error on the screen. I remember the days when ovens did not have screens but I guess everything is a computer these days. I called Globe and let them know about my situation and a local contractor called me later that day. I had never heard of them and I thought I was familiar with most of the companies in my area. I was pleasantly surprised with the company sent. Professional and clean. My problem was a bad chip or board and they left stating they needed to order a part. I only cook a couple, few times a week so I was not too stressed about the whole thing. Globe called twice in the mean time inquiring about the job. They had been calling the contractor as well and it was actually Globe that informed me the part was in and to call the appliance company. I set my appointment and the vendor replaced the part - my F-3 went away and it was about time to cook another meal. Dinner was delicious and Globe performed well in processing my claim. I had a leaking pipe under my bathroom sink and I had to put a tupperware under it to catch the water. The valve just turns and turns. I called Globe and they had no problem sending a plumber out to me. He got to me the next day and they were a very professional company. I was impressed because everything looked new. The plumbers truck and the plumbers uniform looked brand new. Maybe he was new to the company. They fixed the leak and there was minimal damage to the cabinet floor. It was taken care of pretty quickly and everyone was so nice. The warranty was not too expensive and I have someone to call if I have a problem for a year. view less

Contacted them yesterday morning with an old broken washer - delivery from Lowe's is scheduled for Thursday. Can not complain about a thing... The rep was cool and set everything up for me.
