When I purchased my new house and I kept my starter home as a rental. I was not sure what to expect from tenants as this is my first rental. It could be a disaster depending on who moves in. I spoke with a few people that have a little more experience than me and one recommendation I got was to place a home warranty on the home. I followed this advice as this is a somewhat inexpensive way to give me a little bit of security in this whole situation. It was one of the better decisions I have made placing my home warranty with Globe. They have been quick to respond to any problems at the home. I just call the problem in and give them a description of what is going on and a vendor contacts the tenant and makes an appointment. I do not have to go through all of the trouble of getting a vendor to respond. It has really made life easier for me and most of the time it is something covered and I do not have to pay for anything. I would make the same recommendation to anyone in my situation. My new neighbors told me about Globe when they moved in because they had had a good experience with them. I placed my warranty and my coverage started a month later. Sure enough a few weeks into my policy I needed to call them. My cooktop completely stopped working and was giving me an F-3 error on the screen. I remember the days when ovens did not have screens but I guess everything is a computer these days. I called Globe and let them know about my situation and a local contractor called me later that day. I had never heard of them and I thought I was familiar with most of the companies in my area. I was pleasantly surprised with the company sent. Professional and clean. My problem was a bad chip or board and they left stating they needed to order a part. I only cook a couple, few times a week so I was not too stressed about the whole thing. Globe called twice in the mean time inquiring about the job. They had been calling the contractor as well and it was actually Globe that informed me the part was in and to call the appliance company. I set my appointment and the vendor replaced the part - my F-3 went away and it was about time to cook another meal. Dinner was delicious and Globe performed well in processing my claim. I had a leaking pipe under my bathroom sink and I had to put a tupperware under it to catch the water. The valve just turns and turns. I called Globe and they had no problem sending a plumber out to me. He got to me the next day and they were a very professional company. I was impressed because everything looked new. The plumbers truck and the plumbers uniform looked brand new. Maybe he was new to the company. They fixed the leak and there was minimal damage to the cabinet floor. It was taken care of pretty quickly and everyone was so nice. The warranty was not too expensive and I have someone to call if I have a problem for a year. view less

Good morning! I have had a primo experience with Globe yesterday and I felt like I needed to let everyone know! Contacted them yesterday morning with an old broken washer - delivery from Lowe's is scheduled for Thursday. Can not complain about a thing... The rep was cool and set everything up for me. If you know how your home warranty works it will be of great service to you. My husband dealt with the warranty company concerning an electrical problem we were having. A breaker kept tripping and shutting the water heater off. I am very glad that it happened in warm weather! The representatives tried to have him do a few things to save us money by resetting things in case nothing was broken. It turns out that there was something wrong with our water heater and they sent a contractor to help out. Globe fixed the problem and tried to help along the way to save us money. We are very happy with the service right now. I know I am able to call them and they will try and take care of the issues. view less

My name is Dan and I had a problem at my house last week. My refrigerator and freezer stopped working and I called Globe. Completely dead and dark. They sent a technician out and he said that this was a pretty major repair and he had to order a part. It took a few days for it to come in but the repair company stayed in contact and kept everyone updated. It took him almost 4 hours working on the fridge before it came back to life. i have a pretty nice stainless steel refrigerator so it must have made more sense to go through with the repair. I like my fridge anyways so I'm fine with that. i lost my food but I guess that's pretty standard when your refrigerator breaks. Overall I am satisfied with the warranty. I am selling my home in Tampa and I have a home warranty in place. I have to thank Globe Home Warranty for their help and I am so happy I have it. I have not even paid anything for it yet and they have helped my situation. The air conditioning stopped working and what does that mean? I am hot and I can not show my house. I can tell about my problem and how they fixed it. The fan over my stove stopped working. Not a big tragedy but I called Globe and they took my claim. Later a company called and asked for the make and model of the fan because they were going to try and bring a part out. I don't know how they even knew at that point what was wrong. They did not even come to the house yet. The young man that came was nice enough and told me that they do not always carry parts for the fan I have and when he checked it it was just the switch. They didn't even need the fan that the probably ordered for me. He called it in and they changed the switch and it worked again. I'm sure Globe got off cheaper because they did not have to change the whole thing. Globe took care of the problem and did good for the first time I tried calling them. view less

I was visiting my condo in Orlando last month and we ran into a problem with the washer. We are in the pool pretty much every day when we are down there not to mention the parks. We go through a lot of towels and clothes. To have to go to a laundry mat or down to the club house is just not going to work. I called in to Globe and let them know what was going on and they had someone out the next morning. The lights on the washer were blinking and I believe he changed a circuit board. I called in to Globe trying to place a claim on my trash compactor. I would have liked them to have someone out immediately but they said they have 48 hours. Apparently not everyone works on trash compactors either. Suffice it to say it took 3 days for the contractor to show up. My kitchen smelled like garbage for two days. When I kept calling to complain they were very matter of fact with me and should have tried harder to get a different company out faster. When the vendor came out he had to replace a motor and something else but it was covered under the warranty. In the end it took a few days but they repaired the compactor. I have had a great experience with Globe Home Warranty. My air conditioner stopped working yesterday and it got to 92 degrees in my condo. I called in a complete panic because not only can I not deal with the heat but I have pets. The warranty person was responsive and went through their process and promised to send someone the same day. He explained it would be handled on an emergency basis and I would hear from someone. About two hours later I was called by a service person and he told me I was on his list for this afternoon. It really could not have happened fast enough because we were dying!! The person came out and he was downstairs for quite a while working on the machine outside. Suddenly the air kicked on and that beautiful cold air started coming from the vent. Me and pups just sat in front of the vent for a few minutes and cooled off. They did a great job and I can't say enough! view less

I have a home warranty on my house after buying my first house in February of 2017. In late July of 2017 my AC went out. I contacted this "Warranty Company" to make a claim. I initiated the claim with a phone call and then was told to send over needed documentation to an email address. All of this was followed. It’s now been going on 2 weeks of back and forth emails and of them claiming to have called me numerous times even though I provided them with my correct working number multiple times. I finally get my claim through (After 2 weeks of no AC) and a contractor contacts me. The contractor couldn’t work me in for another 4 days, so I told them I would ask the warranty company if I could use someone else that could see me sooner. I called the Global immediately and they told me I can’t use someone else and I need to use that contractor because refusal would close the claim. I called the contractor back and got no response. I called the contractor 10+ times over 24 hours trying to get it scheduled. I then proceeded to call Global again to see if they could help me get in contact. Amazingly, they said I refused to pay the deposit to the contractor (COMPLETELY FALSE) and my claim was now closed and I will not be covered (!!!!). I tried to explain to them what happened and I was given the worst customer service I have ever seen. I have never been talked to like that. Like he didn't care, he wasn't going to argue (I never raised my voice and was calm) and he just kept repeating is there anything else I can help you with... He had no empathy or any drive to help me whatsoever. He almost seemed to enjoy how desperate and upset I was.(His name is Don). view less

Getting this warranty was a no brainer. My warranty came with the house so I did not have to buy it and it has helped with two different problems. I had a water heater replaced last Christmas and now they just sent a plumber to fix a leak in the master. Now - they did not help with a electric problem because they said the circuit was overloaded but I can understand this. If you have the option to get the person your buying a house from to give you a warranty get it. It can't hurt and will most likely you can use it during the year. It has been a great help to me. I didn't expect it to be a fix-all but it is worth having overall. Very good. view less

We have been having some rain here and the alarm on my sump pump started going off. I went down to take a look and it definitley stopped working. All I need is a flooded basement so I called Globe Home and let them know what was going on. They couldn't get out here until the following morning so Im glad I called early when the alarm started going off and not after work. Otherwise who knows when they would have shown. Globe did what they were supposed to do though. It was a straight forward pump burning up with nothing out of the ordinary causing it. They put in a new one, I paid my 75 bucks and the crisis is averted. view less

I called over two months ago to place a claim on my ac unit being out. No one ever returned any of my phone calls, I left 4 voicemails, I text, I emailed, and today I finally talked to someone on the phone who said I would be contacted by the end of the day and I never was. This company is a joke.

Globe Home Warranty was a great help to me and my family. It is good that I am able to call someone that can help in certain situations. My AC stopped working and I have elderly persons living with me. The temperatures here have been awful and they were able to get a repair man out the same day. He changed some parts and spent almost 4 hours here and was able to get it fixed. I know it was expensive to fix it and we are on a budget so we are very happy with this company. This was the first service call we have placed with Globe and it went well. Customer service was fine and the lady was very pleasant. A contractor called within the time frame they gave me and the job was completed satisfactorily. The contractor was professional and competent. Globe themselves acted in a timely manner in getting a contractor in contact with my husband and placed several follow up calls to both of us. I was also able to see the status of my claim by looking online so I knew what was going on. All in all it was a easy process to use the warranty and I have to rate them as satisfactory. view less

I am on a roll with warranties lately. I don't usually spend the extra money for the warranty but my view on them is changing. I recently had my air conditioner replaced through GLobe. My compressor stopped working and they were going to replace it but the whole thing was cheaper than the part so they just replaced it. It took a few days because it was a big job and they had to coordinate everything but it was worth it. I'm set for my AC for another hopefully 10 years in this house. On a side note I also had a warranty on a chain saw I bought a few months ago. I took down one tree and it started acting up - I got that replaced as well. Like I said - I'm liking the warranty right now. I might have to start spending the extra few bucks because they are paying off big time right now and I am seeing the value. view less

I can't say anything to bad because everything turned out okay. We called in late Friday for our toilet and they could not send anyone until Monday. Globe said they could not do it over the weekend but we have a larger family. Anywaaays - Luckily i have two toilets. We made due and they got here on Monday like they said though and they changed everything in it. It was fixed and the guy that came out was great. He did a good job and cleaned up his mess like he was not even here. Awesome plumber and we're good til the next time. view less

My situation turned out great with regards to Globe! I can see sometimes not everyone may have the same experience but I can honestly say they have been great with me. I had a water leak in my kitchen and it was showing up on the floor opposite the sink. It was not something that I could see or identify as far as where it was coming from. I contacted Globe and talked to a gentleman that went over their procedures and informed me that I would be contacted by a plumber. Sure enough, I received the call and he came out the next day. In the meantime I shut off the water to the home and only turned it on when I needed it. Very inconvenient so I was please to hear him knock on my door. The plumber seemed to have a good idea of what was going on and had to remove a bit of the dry wall to be able to complete the repair. Apparently there was a leak at an elbow and he made a simple repair. No more leak and the home warranty did what it was supposed to do. They even called me the next day to verify if the problem was solved and that I was Happy! view less

I went an entire week in 95+ degree weather without AC because they kept sending me on a wild goose chase to get paperwork for them to process the claim. Then in the end didn't cover ANY portion of the AC repair! The customer service was less than satisfactory, when they called to tell me they wouldn't be covering the repair they were very rude and had zero sympathy for the situation. i can say that this has been a good experience so far - washer conked out. the water in it really started to stink. i couldnt get it to drain. globe sent an applkiance person and he changed a valve and was able to get everything going in a coupel of hours. the warranty lived up to what it was supposed to do. it was worth the copay to get my washer back. everyone i spoke with at globe was great and they called me afterward to make sure everything was done. the appliance company was great. i cant think of anything to say that was bad about my claim. view less

I called Globe about my refrigerator not working. Nothing worked in it and it was completely warm. I had to pull all of my meats and put them in a cooler to save what I could. I called Globe and they acted very quickly. An appliance guy came out the following morning. A circuit board went bad and it was not something he could get easily. He didn't order the part to come back a few days later. He found one in Clarksville and drove over an hour each way to get the part. I appreciate his dedication and he fixed my refrigerator. He went out of his way to get me back to normal with a running refrigerator. view less

This week my oven started burning everything I put in it. I'm not that bad a cook so I know it isn't me. I contacted their claims department and informed Globe of my problem. The took down my information and a contractor came out to my condo a couple of days later. I paid him my $75 copay and he was able to repair the control. I let them know I have company coming into town for the Memorial day weekend and they were able to get it done. Its about to get a lot of use and I'm ready for the long weekend. I had an absolute nightmare scenario happen at my home last week and Globe acted quickly to fix my problem. I had sewage coming up in every bathroom in my home - every sink and every toilet! ABSOLUTELY disgusting. I have a family and no one could use the bathroom or sinks or anything. This was a very big, big problem and I called them for help. I was informed that this was considered an emergency - duh - and they would have someone out the same day. A plumber was out to my home, true to their word the same day and the cleared my main sewer line. We had a terrible clean up throughout the whole house when he left but at lease everything was draining! Unbelievable that it happened. I never had to deal with something like that before.
