Landmark Home Warranty helped get our oven and dishwasher repaired through a local appliance repair company. Everyone was good about setting up appointments, confirmation and onsite work. The contract repair people have not been great. Then when we did need our refrigerator replaced they deducted the amount that had been paid to the repair man that had to come to our house 4 different times. I was penalized because the guy couldn't figure how to fix the problem. We also had a plumbing company come to our house twice to fix a problem. They recommended a very costly repair. They suggested we rip out all the tile in our laundry room because it was a defective drain pan. I got a third opinion from another plumbing company that is not contracted with our warranty company and it was an easy simple fix. There was a plastic plug left in our drain by accident by the builders and the two other plumbers didn't even take the time to investigate and fix the problem. But of course I still had to pay them! view less

I called landmark Home Warranty 2-7-2017 Ticket # 574627A to report my Refrigerator was not cooling.
I was told and emailed a dispatch Ticket for Challen's Appliance repair that night. Waited till 1 PM 2-8 with no call from Challen's Appliance, Called Challen's Appliance 1:20 no call back. Called Landmark 2-8 and was told Challen's Appliance does not service my area and they would dispatch to another vendor.
Called Landmark 2-9-2017 and I was told they could not find a repair tech and sent my dispatch ticket to their contractor relations department and I would get a call from Landmark updating me on what they were doing. OK it's 2-10 I called Landmark again and they said they had no information and would send a note to the supervisor and their contractor relations department to have someone call me. It's 2-11-2017 no callback. I called landmark 2-12-2017 at 10 AM, the agent could not help . could not update me on anything, ll she said there is no supervisor working today and she would send the supervisor a email and send a email to contractor relations dept. So now I have been without a Refrigerator for 6 days and my wife is a diabetic on insulin that has to be kept cool. So as far as I am concerned this company is a RIP OFF. Damages I had were not covered by Landmark, however, they had a gentleman by the name of Jens from Quick Dry call me. He literally called me within minutes of speaking with a Landmark representative. He was thorough, patiente, professional, polite and knowledgeable. Given my unique sitation, he did everything in his power to help me. I have never experienced customer service as I have with Jens. He quickly assessed damage and began to work on the issue. He practically came every day to measure progress. He beyond exceeded expectations, I can't thank him enough. Moved into my house 2 months ago. My fridge had stopped working between closing and when we moved in. 2 months later it still is not fixed. The repair man they sent out was incompetent..did not do any testing just "assumed" it was a bad board. After ordering the wrong board he finally got the right one and put it in, still not working, so now he's guessing that it is the power cord though he's not confident that that will fix the problem. I've been waiting over a month for the power cord to come in. Everyweek he says it will be in "next week". So here I am with a family of 5 (3 of them small children) and no fridge. I contacted my sales rep almost 2 weeks ago. She told me that if it wasn't repaired by a certain date (5 days ago) that they would go to "Plan B" and just get me a new fridge (and yes I have this in writing). Well it wasn't repaired by then but they have not gotten me a new fridge yet. Because the repair guy keeps telling them the part is coming (I have serious doubts that he will ever get the part in) they are now saying we need to wait to see if the part fixes the problem. Not to mention that I have had to leave work early on 3 separate occasions to meet the repair guy and still don't have a working fridge. I was very patient until we hit 43 days of no fridge, then I started calling my sales rep. However, here I am with no fridge still. view less

We moved into our house and the next day our air conditioner broke - they put several band aids on it and we just paid very expensive electricity bills. One of their service guys "repaired" it and broke it even worse and then couldn't come fix it for 4 days - this was over the summer in AZ - 110 degrees. We ultimately replaced our ac units. Then our pool pump is smoking and sounds like it's about to die - contractor comes and doesn't fix it. I call back and am told that our service request will get denied because although it's loud and smoking the pool pump is doing its job. But I do have the honor of hiring one of their contractors at "retail" price to evaluate the pump. Why would I trust their contractor, their contractors have not fixed only cost us money in the past and made things worse. Total waste of money and time. view less

After calling me and asking if I accepted the replacement of my air handler and the associated extra costs from the local service company, I agreed and was told all was handled. Well, for two days I heard nothing until I called Landmark and I was told that - now - a photo was needed of the old air handler with make and model. This was impossible because it didn't exist and the local service company tried to tell Landmark that and even sent a picture of the entire air handler. So I was in limbo...so I called again after nothing was done a few days (keep in mind the weather for January and having two little ones at home) later and was told by landmark that it would not be covered until they got the make/model photo. The guy at landmark said there is nothing else to do and was about to hang up. I asked to speak to someone higher and the same guy said he is a claim manager and nothing else could be done...finally, he went to a supervisor. After a few moments, the supervisor told the guy to tell me that everything was covered! I asked him...what changed in the 5 minutes since you last said nothing could be done? Everyone told me to use American Homeshield...I chose Landmark instead. Next time, unfortunately, I will use another home warranty company. view less

I have used Landmark Warranty as a renter. Each time I used the service, I was able to schedule a service quickly and easily. The vendors that provided the service did so in a timely manner, and did a great job with doing the work. Based on my experience was a renter, when I purchased a new home, I bought a contract on my new home from Landmark.

We have never had any luck getting service with our warranty in a timely manner. We have made calls for service for our refrigerator and air conditioning in times of need and have been told on a few occasions that no contractors are available for 3 days. We live in Arizona where the weather is hot and have 6 month old twin babies that rely on the pumped breast milk in the refrigerator. The only help that was provided was a suggestion to get dry ice....dry ice only last so long. We were told they only have one contractor in our area and they cannot reassign our job. I'm very frustrated with the lack if help.I was told they would call me back once I was placed on a waitlist with the contractor and never received a call back! It seems like this is a common problem and the solution would be to aquire more contractors in our area with emergency same day appointments available-these types of companies do exsist! We more than likely will not be renewing our service with Landmark due to poor and untimely service. What a waste of time and our money.
