    Review: The gas supply on our hot water heater would die out (wouldn't stay lit) so I went online and request service. Setting up request online was simple. I received an e-mail confirming the request and the name of the contractor. Contractor came out on the agreed upon time, figured out the problem, and repaired the problem all on the same day. Excellent work all around.

    Review: Our AC unit required servicing and the contractor arrived as scheduled. He was very courteous and covered his boots before entering our condo. He corrected a minor leak and was finished in approximately 25 minutes. We have had no problems since he completed his work. We werevery satisfied with the service.

    Review: We had the pool filter housing base, which had cracked, replaced. The repair vendor, Aqua Brite, was quick to response and send someone. They did ask me to take pictures a couple of times of the model info, pipe hookup, etc.to save them time. The repair seemed to go well.

    Review: I've always been literally strapped for repair money for things that break-down around the house. This causes me to hesitate in seeking repairs. American Home Shield is wonderful in never looking at my repairs like that. They immediately request repairmen to come to my aid. My most recent issue was a leaking shower in the master bathroom that I'd allowed to "grow" for several weeks due to my own imagination of what the problem "could be". I had imagined the whole shower shell would have to be replaced due to major problems. I called AHS and explained the initial issue of the leak. AHS noted they would immediately contact a local plumber to come out to assess the problem. I had phone very late on a Saturday night. I didn't receive a phone call from the plumbing office until Tuesday due to my own poor timing when I initiated this call. The plumber was here early Wednesday, came in to the Master Bath's shower and immediately knew the issue and it was very simple. It took approximately 20 minutes to repair at very little total cost. The plumber's office called me 3 days afterward to make sure things were still working as they should be. I am so extremely thankful and hope that next time I have a problem and need to contact AHS, I will not hesitate due to my own imagination. I have had AHS for several years -- well, since I had this house built and have had to contact AHS several times throughout the years. Each and every time, I am extremely thankful to have AHS as partners in my home.

    Review: Keeping it clean, I will declare that I have been paying Old Republic $500 a year For The Last 12 Years. They have replaced item like my dryer when it nearly burned my house down. I had two different plumbers out, and they were ok, replaced water heater, and fixed a leak. That was 12 years ago. I have had to service my heat pump and they sent out a substandard company and the tech had no idea what to do. I told them not to send them out ever again and give me a new company. Well I had to pay ANOTHER service call to get another company out. I turned the other cheek because I was just glad not to have to take another day off work. The last straw was when my garage door opener broke. I called them, and they told me who to call for service. I did, I told them my unit was over 12 years old, gave them the make and model, said that I need a new opener, and that when the evaluated it on site they could call for authorization on site. When they sent me an old 60's hippy, beer belly, beard to chest, and long hair in ponytail. He told me he could even look at the unit until he collected the service call. I gave him my debit card, and once he gave it to his boss he told me there was nothing he could do. Raynor Garage Door of Kansas City for those who want to know. Another company I would love to sue into oblivion. Ok after all this I went to cancel my contract with them, after 13 years AGAIN! The rep told me that I couldn't cancel my contract. And that they would charge me $50 to handle any cancellation attempt. I was paying with my debit card, so needless to say, I cancelled the card, got a new one and let's see them try to bill me one more payment. I am considering seeking legal advice against this company regarding the last 12 years @ $500 a year, for their lack of services. Their reps on the phone are rude, dismissive, and just move you around to another. I pity the employees that work there to feed their families. Unless of course they are all just possessed to steal from the general public. Last thing. Just save yourself the 50 a month. For crying out loud after 12 years I Could pay cash for a new heat pump, and have who I want install it.

    Review: When I called American Home Shield, I talked to a very pleasant lady that was very professional. I explained my problem, that was a water leak, and she said I would be contacted by a contractor within 24 hours. I did receive a call and an appointment was scheduled. I found the problem and corrected it myself. I called Shield back and told them I fixed the problem and to cancel my call. The contractor came to my house at the appointment time just to be sure everything was OK. I thought this was outstanding and I told my family and friends about how great Home Shield and their contractor's professionalism. I was not charged for this call.

    Review: The response time of the AHS contractor was that afternoon and I was well pleased with all aspects of the service provided that day. Whenever I have a problem I know I can rely on the well trained customer service reps at AHS to comprehend and convey my dilemma to the AHS contractor in a timely manner. Since I am a senior citizen and can no longer do my own repairs around the house, AHS gives me complete peace of mind without a hassle. Hats off to ASH!!! /

    Review: THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH LOWES IS A COMPLETE JOKE! No one seems to care one bit. We have an LG Refrigerator that cost $2800 and was purchased May 2013. It is our main kitchen refrigerator. It quit working 7/18/16 and is still not working. A tech was out on 7/22/16 to diagnose a bad mother board and display dispenser assembly, and no one has been back since. The contracted company to complete the work is a customer service nightmare!! They simply could care less if our refrigerator ever works again. Every time I call and check on the status of the backordered part they keep telling me a new "Expected arrival date" They never once apologized for the inconvenience or even remotely had any ounce of compassion that our main refrigerator during the heat of a Missouri summer was out of commission. So, after repeated calls to the contractor got me no parts, I decided to contact Lowes Extended Warranty Dept. They keep saying they are talking to their supervisor, and a supervisor will contact me. NO PHONE CALL FROM ANYONE!! I have initiated every call. It is now 8/19/16 and no parts, and no idea when or if we will see the parts. There is no accountability....Lowes doesn't seem to care.....and the contractor absolutely does not care. In the meantime.....no working refrigerator in 100 degree summer. JUST REALLY THINK BEFORE PURCHASING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY....

    Review: Some of the repair techs are great, and I appreciate that I can usually request a company again. Other contractors are questionable and difficult to communicate with. I\'ve started keeping track of what day and time I have a communication, who I spoke with, etc. It took over a month to fix a light fixture, but usually repairs are completed within a few weeks. Thankfully I\'ve never had anything really urgent. When I\'ve needed to use outside contractors though, they have noted that AHS is better than other home warranty companies they\'ve dealt with. It\'s probably a matter of perspective but I\'ve started evaluating whether it\'s worth contacting AHS or if I should do repairs on my own.

    Review: Each time that I have used AHS, I have had a good experience. Since joining, there has only been one instance where there were problems. The problem was with the contractor (SEARS) that they sent out. The issue was not with AHS.

    Review: I had a minor water leak underneath one of my bathroom lavatories. Got on line with AHS reported the problem, within 24 hours received call from contractor, scheduled repair, within 48 hours repair was made by a qualified plumber. Great Customer Service From AHS and Great Service From Contract Provider! 100% Satisfied!
