Two days before Christmas we had kitchen sink complete shutdown. Reported to warrant company by phone, automated as was Sunday. Approximately 30 minutes later had a scheduled appt for 12-26, I texted that I had company in for holidays and lots of cooking to do. Approximately 30 minutes later my appt had been reset to the following morning 8-12. Company notified me when on way, arrived promptly, was polite courteous and knew his business. I have nothing but praise for both AHS and the local plumbing company they sent.

This company is horrible, called 3 times this year and had a bad experience each time. 1st call in July - AC out- will take 1 week to get tech here- I live in Alabama- No AC is not an option. Cancelled request paid $300 out of pocket to have it repaired same day. 2nd call - fridge stopped working- took one full month before it was fixed- 3rd call - AC leaking water - coming through my floors- took a week to fix- they waived the service fee but then took the money out of my account anyway. Still waiting a week later for my money to be returned and it has not been done yet. Can not wait til I can cancel this contract !!!!!

We use this warranty company to protect the appliances in a house we rent out. We called on them for an issue with the Heat pump. $125.00 for the service call. A part needed to be replaced. They replaced it at no charge. 2 weeks later another issue arose with the heat pump. No service charge was asked for. Repair was made. The warranty only covers a percentage of Freon to be installed, and they won't let another company do it.. Be mindful of what you use them for. Many repairs can be done for less than the $125.00 service call fee if you are able to do it.

American Home Shield is better than not having anything when things break down. My experience has not been all bad but when it\'s bad it\'s bad. I had a plumbing issue in the kitchen AHS sent out a plumbing company that didn\'t do the job it was required to do. I had to call another plumber on my own and pay for their services out of my own pocket and still had to pay the deductible of $125.00 and boy was I upset. I called AHS and had to go around circles for 3 months before they refunded me the deductible of $125.00. This taught me a lesson that I should not pay in advance any more, I now pay after the work had been completed.

I was a little nervous after reading some reviews. We went with AHS because it was the warranty the seller offered on our home. We didn't do any prior research. A week after we moved in, the air conditioner quit working. I called, the lady on the phone was very helpful, a repair company was out within 24 hours of my call. It was an actual local AC company, not just a handyman subcontractor. The problem was fixed within an hour. The service fee was the only charge. The next day the company called back, said that AHS wanted them to schedule to come out and clean the unit. It was no additional charge to me. I was rather surprised that it all went so smoothly afte rreading some of the reviews. I just submitted my second claim because the microwave is no longer heating, so hopefully I won't have a nightmare to report.
