AHS needs to be boycotted!! American Home Shield USED to be an excellent American home warranty company!! It has become the most unprofessional, horrible runaround wannabe warranty company!! 90% of the time they ghost their customers, their vendors/contractors could careless about us as customers. I have been waiting for a technician to fix my icemaker since July 2020?!! Three contractors came to our house to fix the ice-maker and have yet to be fixed. Almost an year 1y without this issued to be resolved. The last one, Scott’s heating and plumbing came in February 2021 supposedly he told us it was fixed. It worked for less than 30 days. I called AHS they told me that they would have Mr Scott come over and fix it. Unfortunately, that never happened since he had yet to show up to finish the job!! I’ve called their Scott’s, in addition to AHS every other day, spoken to thousands of customer service reps in the Philippines ?? who have promised that a supervisor for the Customer Relations Department as well as a supervisor for the Escalation Department would contact me within 24 in addition I would receive an email relating how AHS would resolve this issue, have yet to get either!! AHS has become a horrible runaround wannabe warranty company!! For one year I have tried to speak with corporate and no success!! WTH? Btw, so much for transparency on their Facebook page, not one post from other upset customers can be read. I have private messaged, but nobody has read it and responded!! After posting my complaint immediately at the bottom of my post there is a small print saying; “Most Relevant is selected, so some comments may have been filtered out.” How about that??? Boycott AHS

I was provided with a cash option for the repair of our stove, but have been totally unable to get through to talk to anyone. Wait times where 2 hours on 9/1 and I\'ve been on hold this morning (9/2) for 1 hour with no luck. I needed to talk to their purchasing department to determine how to proceed. It really doesn\'t do much good to have a warranty if you can't get anything repaired. By the way, their chat option on the website does not work. Absolutely terrible service - do not purchase a warranty through this company.

Our air conditioner was not working correctly. It would run, but not bring the house to the desired temperature. We put in a service call. With a 2 year old in the house, it is critical to have a comfortable temperature in the house, otherwise he may get cranky! You sent us Modern Mechanical and the tech was good to meet us at a time that was convienent for us. He came and changed out our thermostat. AC was on. He left and we tough everything was good, until we realized, the AC was constently on and was not shuttnig off. Not only that, it was not cooling the house. We called you guys back. Modern Mechanical could not make it, so you sent J.G Mechanical. He was able to pinpoint the problem and had our house cooled down quickly with a system recharge. Nice guy! I wold recommend him to anyone, anytime.

I had my oven repaired and my microwave. The contractor was on time and called as I requested before he came out. He was very friendly and explained the problem and repaired it. He had to order a part for the microwave and it when it came it he came out and installed it the next day. The contractor was very neat and clean. Customer service was great. When I called in for a appointment they called me back and let me know what contractor they were sending out in a timely manner.

My most recent experience with American Home Shield Customer Service was an easy to follow instructed order to place a service order for repair,or replace as my contract with American Home Shield is that type of contract. The worker arrived in good time ,calling first to let me know when to expect the worker and when the worker arrive , went to the area that needed repair, examined and diagnosed the problem and went to work to resolve the issue . The worker left the area in clean an orderly manner. I would recommend American Home Shield to Customers looking for the whole home maintenance contract I have done business with this company for many years and I am so glad that American Home Shied is there when you need them most for repairs

Old Republic Home Protection
Had a water line break. They finally send the guy out. Tired old man, All he wants to do is report to them some reason that they won’t pay, so he can collect his 60 bucks for showing up (mandatory) and drive off to do the same thing to someone else. It’s a racket. Old republic gets your money, their chosen contractor gets your money, and you’re a few extra days with the same problem and still having to call a REAL contractor to come fix it, or fix it yourself. Note to old republic. I told you Idiots I was going to make you my special project. You screwed the wrong customer here….. everyone needs to know about you con artist.

AHS is changing. I have had this warranty for 4 years and had been satisfied enough to renew my policy up until now. They have made some changes this year that new subscribers should check into - such as an increase in service fees without notification, use of vendors not accredited with BBB, decrease in responsiveness to customer needs. It is very difficult to speak with supervisors to resolve issues without numerous phone calls. This company seems to be shifting away from the service of its customers.
