Choice Home Warranty provides extensive plans which cover different home appliances and systems. With more than a decade of experience, the company is known for its customer responses and claims processing.
Choice Home Warranty mainly provides two plans for homeowners- Basic Plan and Total Plan. They offer different coverage for essential home appliances and systems. You can even opt for optional add-ons along with both plans. The Basic Plan includes approximately 14 items, while the Total Plan includes 18 items.
The price of a Choice Home Warranty plan gets influenced by the State in which you reside, your home’s size, the add-ons you select, etc. The Basic plan costs about $45/month (approx. $530/year). While on the other hand, the Total plan costs about $55/month (approx. $630/year).
Select Home Warranty offers comprehensive plans, including roof- leak protection. SHW’s plans start at less than $50/month, which is a budget-friendly option for homeowners.
The three plans offered by Select Home Warranty are the Gold Care Plan (Systems plan), the Bronze Care Plan (Appliance plan), and the Platinum Care Plan (Systems and Appliance Plan). The Platinum Care just has a little more price than the Gold or Bronze and provides coverage on 16 major systems and appliances in the home.
The price of SHW plans is different for each plan. The Bronze Care and Gold Care plans are priced at $60 monthly and $630 yearly. The Platinum Care Plan is priced at $64 per month and $675 per year. The cost can vary depending on your area, the selected add-ons, and more.
American Home Shield is a pioneer in the home warranty industry with over 50 years of experience. The company has built a solid reputation because of its extensive policies, handy service providers, and flexible deductible option.
AHS offers three plans to its Arizona customers: ShieldSIlver, ShieldGold, and ShieldPlatinum. All these plans have extensive coverage and are even affordably priced. You can even go for optional add-ons.
Plans provided by AHS are priced between $39 to $70 per month. But, the overall cost is dependent on the chosen scheme, area of residence, and add-ons. The deductibles of AHS are $75, $100, and $125, respectively.
Liberty Home Guard is a relatively new home warranty company. However, the company allows a wide variety of add-on options, including pro-series appliances, carpets, and even windows. The company also offers an easy-to-reach customer support chat.
The three plans offered by Liberty Home Guard include Appliance Guard, Systems Guard, and Total Home Guard. As named, the Total Home Guard Plan is the best option as it has both system and appliance coverage. In total, the plan covers 20 items. Along with the plans, you can even go for its optional add-ons.
The LHG’s plans are somewhere between $373.99 to $474.99 annually. If any optional item is included, the annual costs can go up from $44 to $195. The company charges a $90 deductible or service fee.
Cinch Home Services offers a 180-day workmanship guarantee, which is more compared to its competitors. Known for 40 years in the industry, the company has professional knowledge and experience. Also, the plans are moderately priced, which makes it one of the options on our list.
The CHS has three home protection plans for homeowners: Appliances Plan, Built-in Systems Plan, and Complete Home Plan. It also provides a Premier Upgrade Package which comprises electrical and plumbing modifications, permits, and more.
The plan price for Cinch Home Services can range from $34.99 to $67.99 per month with three deductibles- $75, $100, and $150.
First Premier Home Warranty offers extensive coverage to its Arizona residents at a fair price. It also has an A- rating with the BBB, and the plans start as low as $45 per month.
The company provides two extensive home warranty plans for homeowners: Premier Plan and Premier Platinum. Premier Plan is recommended for homeowners looking for basic coverage, while Premier Platinum is best-suited for people with bigger homes and multiple units.
FPHW plans are flexible according to the customer’s needs. The premiums start at $375 and can increase according to the chosen additional add-ons. The deductible can vary from $60-$100, which is mainly dependent on the customer’s preference.
The Home Service Club offers convenient plans which compel homeowners to get a home inspection before commencing the policy. The policy will start in ten days if your appliances and systems are in working condition, which is a lower waiting period than the industry standard. Additionally, the plans are fairly priced and have a good mix of home system and appliance coverage.
The Home Service Club offers two plans: the Standard Coverage Plan and the Comprehensive Coverage Plan. The Standard Coverage Plan includes both systems and appliances, while the Comprehensive Coverage Plan is a much more significant investment; however it includes some unique items.
The Standard Coverage costs around $51.25 per month ($650 per year). On the other hand, the Comprehensive Coverage plan can cost $60 per month ( $720 annually after $80 discount).

Here are some tips you will need to make an informed decision:
Home Warranty plans are present in different parts of Arizona. They include Glendale, Tucson, Phoenix, Chandler, and Mesa.
Many home warranty companies provide home warranty plans across Arizona. However, the quality of services and coverage are not the same. So, we recommend you to research rigorously and read the fine prints before purchasing a home warranty.
Is It Worth Buying A Home Warranty In Arizona?
If you are a new homeowner, chances are you got a home warranty as a part of the deal from your realtor.
If your home is older than five years, your appliances and systems may already be exhibiting signs of depreciation. Therefore getting a home warranty can protect your finances from impending breakdowns of your appliances and systems.
Which Is The Best Home Warranty Company In Arizona?
Fellow Arizona homeowners positively have reviewed companies like Liberty Home Guard and OneGuard. Giants like American Home Shield, First American Home Warranty, Select Home Warranty, and others also offer their services in the state.
We believe that the coverage requirements differ from one household to the next. So, it is essential to set the right expectations and identify the company that meets your expectations.
Who Regulates Home Warranty Companies In Arizona?
The Arizona Department of Insurance regulates home warranty companies. If a home warranty company is accredited in the state, you can be reasonably sure of its reliability.
On a national scale, the National Home Service Contract Association (NHSCA), a non-profit organization, offers self-regulatory standards to home warranty companies. They lay down a code of ethics that home warranty companies are expected to follow.
Do Home Warranties Cover Air Conditioners?
Yes, most home warranty companies cover air conditioners. They also cover heating systems and ductwork, and some even cover the entire HVAC system.
How Soon Will A Service Technician Be Available To Work On My Claim?
After you submit your service request and it is approved, the company arranges for a repair technician to visit your home.
If it’s a working day, some companies try to arrange a visit on the same day. Most home warranty companies take up to 48 hours to send a technician to your home. The visits are generally scheduled during business hours.
Is Everything Covered Under A Home Warranty?
A typical home warranty coverage includes your home’s major appliances and systems. Even with the most comprehensive plans and the inclusion of optional add-ons, a home warranty is unlikely to cover all the aspects of your home.
There are also specific limitations and exclusions to the covered items of a home warranty. For example, certain parts or components of a broken item may not be eligible for coverage. Some home warranty companies do not cover pre-existing conditions. Breakdowns caused by neglect, lack of maintenance, and misuse are also not covered.
You should read a home warranty service agreement carefully to understand all the details.
I Have Homeowners Insurance. How Is A Home Warranty Different?
Homeowner’s insurance and home warranty are different in the kind of coverage they offer. Homeowner’s insurance covers the structure and personal property of the insured. A home warranty covers the appliances and systems inside a home.
While homeowners insurance protects your house from damages caused by natural disasters, theft, and other unforeseen circumstances, home warranties offer coverage to items that break down due to general wear and tear.
Another difference is that homeowners insurance is required for taking out a mortgage, while a home warranty is optional.
Both homeowners insurance and home warranties help you avoid unexpected expenses for different reasons. Equipping your home with both will protect every part of your home.
Does A Home Warranty Protect The Seller?
Home warranties offer seller coverage to protect your home during its sale. The seller coverage usually lasts for 180 days or till the close of sale and protects the major appliances and systems in the home. It is designed to protect the seller from any expensive repairs during the selling process.
The seller coverage also incentivizes the buyers to purchase the property soon and may increase the home’s market value.

I received a response right away after I expressed my frustration with a reimbursement. I was told I should see the refund w/in 14 days and given some advice to prevent future headaches. Hopefully, the refund will be processed and I will not have to call back with this issue. I do appreciate the immediate response after my venting.

I use the internet practically exclusively as well as texts to communicate with AHS. The company is most responsive this way, and, if you can be patient for some repairs due to parts orders and not being urgent, this company is efficient and will honor its contract. I have found vendors of services professional and AHS ready with alternatives, including offers of resolution one may find expedient and useful. I recommend this Company and patience in understanding whether a particular vendor referred to you is acceptable but AHS is there to help.

Appli**x Appliance Repair did an excellent job! Owner was prompt in contacting us to schedule an appointment and was seen the very same day! Minimal down time without a dishwasher. Very professional and felt he went above and beyond to get our dishwasher working!! He made sure it worked before leaving. Highly recommend keep them on as home repair service company. We were a little nervous as past reviews were not kind, but he proved them to be wrong.

I truly appreciate how fast everything was taken care of. I called as my refrigerator was leaking, the repairman came out and stated I needed a plumber to fix a specific part. So I got on line and then requested a plumber. He came out and fixed the problem and also fixed the leak in the line. Therefore I paid both the refrigerator repair company and the plumbing company. This is the result of trying to do it on line .... as i found out I should have spoken to someone and had the plumbing job connected to the job and it would have cost me only 100.00

Great experience. Time, communication, customer service, professionalism, respectful, thorough. Options given for repair or replacement with no pressure. Was contacted within a short time after placing the claim. Evaluation was completed also within a reasonable time. Repair option presented and then replacement discussed. Costs dreviewed and replacement chosen. Within 2 days and after finding the requested unit, entire air conditioner was replaced without any hitches. Installers checked the unit once installation was complete and cleaned up after themselves. Immediately the office was contacted and a follow up appointment was made.

Everything went well! The only issue I have is once it was decided the appliance couldn’t be fixed I heard from no one! I contacted AHS and was informed I had to call a number which they gave me! I had no clue I had to call them and didn’t have a phone # until customer service gave it to me! Otherwise, all went well! There was no repair so I can’t rate it or the time!

Became a customer in 2020. Since then we have submitted 2 claims. Each happened to be after hours so I had to submit a ticket online through AHS\' website. Each instance I was connected with a contractor first thing the following morning to schedule same day service. I highly recommend AHS. I feel their pricing is competitive, their quick to respond and their network of contractors thus far have been fantastic to work with.

Responsive. But, unable to understand AHS telephone representatives. I\'m hearing impaired and unable to understand foreign accents speaking as if they\'re in a space race to the moon. Had to constantly ask reps to slow down and speak slower, to no avail.

This review is ONLY for the contractor A******** C***. They are amazing and went beyond expectation. My experience with American Home Shield is less, since they did not follow through when the contractor informed them that they could not locate the parts for my refrigerator.
