I love the fact that I can plan for unexpected repairs. It makes them affordable, and great on a budget. The only area that I would like to see Improvement in, is whenever I have to talk to an operator, I have a hard time understanding their dialect. It is like I am talking to China.

Well. I didn\'t know that the broken leaking pipe was not covered by my warranty contract. So the tech called American Home Shield and found out that it was not covered. So zI had to pay the service fee of $100 AND $150 for the tech to fix it. This has happened in the past. So I understood. But it was an expensive mistake

My old reliable heavy duty Maytag finally started acting up with an unpredictable and inconsistant water flow and level. A repair person from TLC appliance repair promptly diagnosed and fixed the problem. American home shield made an error and charged me for the full year for my contract, $759.88, instead of my normal monthly payments. Because AHS took $759.88 out of my account, it caused financial hardships because it was unexpected. Now, I am back on month to month, BUT AHS still has not refunded my $759.88, even though they are taking my payments out monthly. I have called every week for the past month, and nobody is helping, or cares. AHS said it would take 14-21 business days for the refund, which did not happen. I have spend over 10 hours on the phone, with supervisors, and nothing is getting done. I am still out $759.88 plus $45.00 in overdraft fees. AHS is very unorganized in the billing and accounting. Still waiting for the refund.....

Call for service on 8/10/2018 for A/C not working ( I live in Arizona) 110 degrees avg. Air Central Company called me 2 day ago to let me know that they noticed that they sent the wrong parts before they arrive, they call American Home Shield to let them know about the issue and American Home Shield did not help the company to fix it. I contacted American Home Shield (40 minutes on the phone) and explained the problem, they said "we will take care,'. Today Air Control Company said that American Home Shield asked for an email with the issue??? I been on the phone for another 35 minutes "ON HOLD" so I can find out WHEN ;PARTS and A/C will be FIX !!! By the way American Home Shield told me that "this is NOT an EMERGENCY" !!! And by the way NO communication with customers and the right parts ARE NOT BEEN ORDERED !!! REF # 468969302

Good Company. We used them before and then came back to them after less than satisfying experience with another home warranty company. The premiums are a little lower but the co-pay is higher, depending on the chosen premium and co-pay. It gives us a little more choice in our coverage and premium. I really like that.

My most recent experience with American Home Shield, was when I called to have them come out and service my A/C and Heater and shut down my swamp cooler for the winter. The Service people were AAA Affordable A/C. They came out right away to my surprise because it was late in the season and I know they have a lot of services to do at that time of the year. The contractor was very friendly and clean. He was also telling me that I need a drain for my swamp cooler. He even checked my heater to make sure it was working properly and disconnected the water to my swamp cooler. One year I had another contractor to service my heater and close down my swamp cooler for the winter They were Lake Havasu City A/C. I will never use them again, that winter the tech. didn't turn off the water to the swamp cooler and it got cold that winter down to 25* and I had a giant icicle hanging off my roof in the back. It cost me in repairs for having them out here.. Never again will I do service with Lake Havasu City A/C
