Experience was great. Response by both Home Shield and contractor staff was timely and professional. The response to my request was timely, the contractor response and assessment of issue was timely and transparent, and the resolution of the issue was to my satisfaction. The whole process from start to finish was without issue. Overall very please with AHS.

I find it difficult to write anything positive about my last experience with representatives from AHS. I have policies for four houses. It is possible that the language barrier may have played a role in this fiasco. I made a work order for one of my houses and had to use its address since my contract numbers were in my home in another state. I was very specific about the correct address for the house where service was needed. Wonderful! Not so fast. I received a call from the technician verifying the details, only to find out that the AHS representative was going to send them to the wrong location. It was one of my houses but not the one that needed the repairs. Once again I blame the language differences for the mistake. It took three more calls to representatives who also had difficulty communicating. Solution: cancel the original work and make a new one. Logical. Not done yet. Since the deductible for the house at the wrong address was $100, and since it was canceled, it generated a refund. Once again I endured another conversation with a representative. I had checked my credit card account, and yes, the $100 charge appeared. Not to worry. She said a credit would appear in 48 hours. Four days later, no credit. Other the the initial conversation, every representative guaranteed me that they would make things right. At least, I think that's what I heard. As it stands, I was told that I would be mailed a check and I should receive it within 10 days. Needless to say, I don't have it. I even tried to cancel my four policies and they wouldn't allow it. This story may sound unbelievable. It's not! As it stands

I have had AHS for over a year and have recommended them to many of my real estate clients, but never again. My air conditioner went out 3 days ago, in 110 degree weather in Phoenix. I promptly filed a service request. After 3 calls over 48 hours with AHS, and being updated to \'expedited\' status because there is a baby in the home and me and my spouse work from home with no family in the area to go to, I was specifically told by an AHS rep that I had an appointment with a contractor set for today, between 1-5pm. So we are waiting in a home with no ac for a tech that never comes. After contacting the contractor directly I'm told that AHS NEVER made an appointment and that they can't come until tomorrow, which will put this at 4 days in a home with no ac and 110 degree heat outside! To add more insult to injury, twice now I've been told I was going to be transferred to escalations only to be hung up on. This company is ridiculous and should not be trusted with your home or family.

We put in a claim when our furnace went out. The furnace company told us the heat exchanger had cracked and was putting out 8 parts per million of carbon monoxide, a dangerous amount. Our claim was refused. They told us Carrier the manufacturer was contacted and it was under warranty as it was under 20 years old. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me the warranty was only good with the original owner. They still will not fix the furnace. I contacted an attorney and he stated I needed to get a denial of claim letter. They refused to give us a denial letter. I don"t believe this is legal. The next step, the state insurance commissioner. These people will not help you, what a waist of money.

This is my second time having to place a claim. I went online and placed a claim, the next day the AM PM plumbing service call to schedule repair. They were able to come out the day I scheduled, they didn\'t have my model so they left came back within an hour with the garbage disposal. They were very professional and they replace my garbage disposal in less than half hour.

Every time that I have had to use American Home Shield, I've been completely satisfied... Would like for the service charge to go back down a little, for that can be tough on a Senior Citizen on a fixed income. Other than that, I have been pleased with the service, the service guys that came over, and the time it took to do the work that was needed. I would like to pick my own AC man, if possible. I completely trust him and his company, but they are not on American Home Shield plan. Other than the two things I mentioned, the service charges and not being able to use my own AC man........ American Home Shield is absolutely great, and I'm completely satisfied with the services that I have called them for.....I wouldn't use any one else.......
