Ice maker in fridge stopped working. Went online and filed a claim. Got a response the same day and service was scheduled for the following day. Repair person was on time, professional and knowledgeable. Ice maker was replaced and is working wonderfully. This is the 2nd time we have had to use AHS (last time was air conditioner), and we are very happy and satisfied.

Good service and timely also. Only issue i had is they called me to offer discount off of yearly 664 AHS complete system coverage renewal fee, $60 less, but in reality I\'m still paying full price at$ 55 month deduction from my credit card...

Horrible company. I have had 7 total service calls for 3 items not working. Out of those service calls the only one that went well was the A/C repair which was a replacement of the coils. My dishwasher has been broken for 3 months now and they have sent 3 different companies out so far and all of them can't figure it out but refuse to deem the item "unrepairable" so we can get the unit replaced due to fear of reprisal from AHS. Because the dishwasher was repairable under their eyes the only thing they offered to do was give me my deductible back plus current value for the dishwasher so I can go buy my own. Oh yeah, been a few days and still waiting for the new contractor to contact me. For my ice-maker on my fridge it took 2 different companies totaling 7 trips to the house to both say they can't figure it out. After complaining to AHS about the quality of the contractors they send out they said they would consider dropping the companies but guess which company was assigned to me a few months later when my dishwasher was broken? Yep, same company. There has not been 1 single time where the contractor has contacted me to schedule a "mutually agreed upon" time with-in the 24 business hours AHS so happily states during their hold music when you call them. How do I know this, because I have been on hold for the last 24 minutes waiting to talk to someone yet again just so they can tell me the contractor will contact me again.

Old Republic Home Protection

I purchased this policy in 12/13 and have called the company for an issue with the watering system which they said was not covered. I just learned the circuit board for my pool is not covered even thought I paid extra for pool coverage. At this point I'm not sure why I paid for a home warranty policy that doesn't seem to cover what you pay extra for. I certainly would not recommend this coverage to anyone, especially with a pool.

The one and only time I needed a repair was my hot water heater. I called to schedule a repair and was speaking with customer service. She scheduled an appointment a few days out. I asked if there was any other company that might be able to perform the repair sooner and she informed me that I do not have a choice in who does the repair. I either take what they give me or do not get it repaired. Fast forward to renewal time. I am reviewing the contract and noticed the coverage for HVAC dropped from $5000 to $1500. I inquired on the drop in coverage and was informed it was due to the economy. Let me get this straight, I have a $5000 coverage for refrigerator (average cost $2000) and $1500 for A/C (range $5000 to $10000).
