Since signing up for Home Shield we have piece of mind and help when needed and it\'s affordable. We just had a leaky sink faucet in our bathroom and it was replaced and we didn\'t have to contend with hundreds of dollars which we would have without Home Shield. We have had a few things go out and it was fixed in a timely fashion and the service is always GREAT!

We have had a wonderful experience with American Home Shield. We moved into a home that was about 20 years old and we wanted to make sure we were covered in case anything went wrong. After moving in, our double oven died and AHS replaced it. They were great to work with and very timely. We have also had our microwave die, which we are also in the process of having AHS also replace for us. Their service has been exceptional and very timely. We have also used AHS to fix our dryer, dishwasher, and electrical issues. They have been easy to work with and the work we have had done has more than paid for the premium we paid. We've had AHS for many years and they are one of our best investments. The service is always excellent the technicians are all friendly and knowledgeable and there is never any problems after the work is done. If you do not have a home warranty this is the best place for you and your home.

Very poor customer service. Appliance vendor was great. Fast turnaround on getting out to our home. AHS gave me two options to have my oven repaired. Wait 6 weeks for a board to be repaired or pay $400.00 for a new unit plus the cost of installation and removal. No family should wait 6 weeks without an oven. They should have replaced the unit and not forced us to wait 6 weeks.

This company was founded by the concept of taking advantage of customers. You want to know why?!! it is pretty obvious and apparent even in their coverage categories!! In which planet Garage Door Opener is an Appliance?! so if you thought that garage door opener should be part of the home system coverage package then you should look for a company who does not insult your intelligence like this with its fraudulent categorization of home warranty! They tell you you can add garage door opener to your home system with an extra payment and I say why I have to pay extra for what that should have been included to begin with?!! AHS you are unfair and You deserve this review.

They've sent a tech out THREE times to tell me that getting hot water for only five minutes is NORMAL. mind you, three days ago before their tech replaced a part, I was able to take 20 minute hot showers. Spoke with a sup at AHS named HOWARD GRIFFIN who was rude, unprofessional, kept interrupting me, and spoke so damn fast (dude, run to the bathroom already) and offered only to send another tech for a 2nd opinion and possibly a SECOND service fee. I've kept these losers for over 12 years and spent well over $6000 in premiums to get NOTHING when I need service.

The clock on the phone is counting 35 minutes and 52 seconds as I am writing this review. I had arranged a service to fix a potential leak in our newly purchased home. Rapid Rooter Plumber Edward Sardisco came out and told me he can't see what's going on with the plumbing because he would not be able to open the panel without authorization from AHS(it was sealed with a clear caulk). He called AHS. They disallowed him to open the panel as it was part of "access". No service performed. Edward stated he will not charge me. That was that, so I believed. AHS send me a bill for $75 a few weeks later. I talked to an agent and she said she could not waive the fee. I asked for a manager and that's when I was placed on hold for so long. A manager, Nicua (Employee ID#2510) finally got on line after around 41 minutes of wait. After 10 minutes where she often spoke over me, she refused to listen to reason. She declined the waiver. If a vendor gets to a scene whether any service was provided or not, you pay. AHS as a company is in trouble if a person in supervisory position cannot think outside of the box and listen to reason. In her mind she has done her job by charging her customer $75 for a service he did not receive after he has expended hours of his time.
