Leak under kitchen sink. Technician was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Fixed the leak in less than 1 hour. Replaced a piece of PVC pipe and all is good. Also, gave me a quick lesson on how to service my water heater. AHS took care of my service request quickly.

The service tech was very good and solved our problem quick and accurately! The only reason I’m not rating this transaction higher is because, the original service date had to be canceled and changed, after the service was performed I paid the $100 I needed to pay, BUT, they keep trying to charge me for the cancelled appointment. I spoke to someone and they assured me that I didn’t have to worry about it, but still keep getting emails that I have to pay! It is taking a long time to get this settled even after I know I paid for the service I requested. Please, do better!

When I first decided to get AHS I was told over the phone that parts and replacements were part of the deal however I have quickly learned that is not the case. I feel deceived and honestly feel I will cancel my account anytime soon. I think I would much rather hire a handy man for my services around the house especially when it comes to replacing things.

When we encounter a strange problem with our lights in the kitchen and one of our bedrooms a quick call to the 800 number brought us a appointment the next day with an electrician. When he arrived the next morning at the beginning of the period time frame, he introduced himself and got right to work to figure out the problem which he solved and repaired within 15 minutes. Very organized and efficient with cleaning up after himself.

I had two service calls with American Home Shield. the first one started Jan, 14 2013 and was completed a couple of weeks later. The repair company responsed quickly and had to make a few trips to resolve my ice maker issue. He was very friendly and professional. I was very happy with his serve and my ice maker is still working properly. The second call was for my AC unit. The contractor was also quick to response and fixed my AC right before a hot 4th of July weekend. I thought he did a good job until Home service came out to perform the Preventive Maintenance on my units. He asset-ed the temporary fix. I called Home services and they quickly had another contractor come out an repair my unit correctly. This unit is also still working properly and performed outstanding throughout our extremely hot summer in SoCal. I am very please with Home Shield and will/have recommended them to my family and friends.

Old Republic Home Protection
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Old Republic Home Warranty. I have requested service on four separate occasions, for four non-related issues and they have sent great contractors to service the issues. Some folks on here must live in areas where contractors must be limited, because I have had no issues with ORHW. Keep up the good work! Below are the four issues that arose, after I purchased my home. Air conditioning, furnace/heater vent, electrical and plumbing. The four separate contractors did a terrific job in these areas. ORHW deserves 5 stars all across the board. I highly recommend them.
