I had a broken pipe under my bathroom sink. Called American Home Shield and they were very helpful. Sent a repair person when I needed them and he was on time. Fixed the pipe and even helped with information on water damage and who I should call. The plumber was very nice and knew his work and yes I would recommend AHS to anyone.

I\'ve used AHS for a few years now and luckily for us, there are many local repair people in our area. Washer, shower diverter, refridgerator, dishwasher, and garbage disposal are some of the items that required fixing. My only issue is sometimes the local repair person calls and says it will be 2-3 days before he can come out. Haven\'t needed an emergency fix, so that has not been a major issue to date. I also use AHS for my rental unit, but have not had to call them yet.

I contacted AHS for A/C repair. I live in the Coachella Valley, the low desert of CA where average temps for July are 107-110F. The repair is scheduled for two days after request, but they can't order parts thru AHS until after the repairman looks at it. I know it is the compressor because I had the company that does all the A/C work at my church look at it before I remembered my AHS contract covers my A/C. The contractor selected by AHS informed me of the process which will delay actual repair until next week at best. I called AHS customer "service" to try to accelerate the process. Even the "supervisor" has no authority to be even the slightest bit flexible with their process. So we will be required to endure no A/C while we wait for the AHS bureaucratic process to work through all their red tape. I hope no one in Minnesota is counting on AHS to provide speedy heater repair in January!

Very pleased and glad we are using AHS. Within 2 months of starting with AHS our central air and refrigerator needed repair. AHS was very responsive and professional, both contractors called by the next day and arranged for a service call within a day. One service needed a couple of follow up calls and AHS was very responsive and stayed on top of the whole process until the issue was resolved.

Old Republic Home Protection
Have a problem with a/c. Had independent co evaluate and verified the cause of defect. Old Republic will not honor the contract. Will have to pay out of pocket cost. I see conflict of interest. Contractors work for Old Republic. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY SPENT IN GOOD FAITH

I had this company for a rental house and althought they did not renew us (probably too many claims) I was really impressed. They always responded right away and their contractors were local and usually could be to the house within a day or so. The only reason I game them a 4 stars vs 5 is some of their technicians made some errors. Our new company is completely the opposite. Not only are they 140 miles from their shop to our home, they have taken over 3 weeks to fix the problem. I wish we could go back to AHS.

We have been very impressed with this company and have recommended them to friends. My only is complaint is related to tracking of claims and paperwork trail. Would be better if the invoice could be tied to the work order and reflect the status of work orders on the system.
