Purchased portable a/c in 2016 and a extended warranty. Receipt ink faded and requested a copy of receipt for warranty repairs and have now called 6 times and still getting run around about finding the receipt even though I gave them the information from my bank account. I recommend that you don\'t purchase Lowe\'s warranty instead go through Square Trade for extended warranty, better and more efficient. Used them and never had to call twice!

I usually try not to write bad surveys, but my overall experience with AHS has not been the best.. i specifically told the customer service rep my problem, they sent someone out, finally after a week of my initial call because someone put on the computer I cancelled, but only to send someone out and say my service was not covered under warranty and to charge me a $75 deductible which I gave my card at the time of the call, only to receive an email stating my previous visits deductible hadn’t been met., I’m livid at this and I’m currently looking for another home warranty protection service!!

Great service from AHS, you still need to keep an eye on some of the companies that come out to service you, always gets additional quotes, you don\'t need to use the first company that comes out. The cash out option is great and has saved me hundreds of dollars by finding my own company to do the work instead of the one AHS sends out

We have had American Home Shield for over 10 years. We have had to call for service on 4 separate occasions. On first occasion, the convection feature on our oven failed. The repair tech replaced the igniter... apparently the igniter was not the problem as the convection feature only functions intermittantly. On the second occasion our air conditioner failed. The repair technician was awesome, he diagnosed the problem ordered the part and installed a relay as a temporary solution until the part arrived. On the third occasion our washer failed. On this occasion the repairman flooded the room where the washer and dryer are located. He didn't even have a bucket to catch the water. The repairmen switched out a control board and left. The washer was still broken. I googled our brand of washer and discovered the problem can be diagnosed using the front panel controls. The problem was not a control board it was the pump so I drove to SEARS, bought the part and installed it myself. All good now. On fourth occasion the plumbing from the upstairs shower leaked. The repairman jury rigged a stub out the he jiggled together in his repair vehicle. This left a 3/8" gap between the faucet and the shower wall. When he left my home I took his mess apart, went to Home Depot, purchased the parts and fixed it properly myself. I even had to repair the drywall that was opened in the room below the shower. Once my contract expires I will definitely not renew with American Home Shield.

Not happy with this company. When you call them you hold on the phone for over 45 mins to talk to a representative. Then, if you actually get through to someone and they need to transfer you, they can't transfer you. You have to hang up and start over waiting 45 mins again. The contractors they use are not even in the same area I live in. They use contractors that are over 2 hours away which delays the contractor's availability to come out to your area. The contractors they use are rude and not very knowledgeable and if you complain about them, nothing happens. The supervisors don't call you when they say they are. We had a complaint and never received a call from anyone. This is not a good home warranty company. Do not use them.

I have been with American Home Shield for about 3 years now, I have 2 contracts with them. When i call for a service to send out a tech that part is easy. The problem is after that 1st tech leaves and they were not able to fix the problem. I have been without a working microwave since 1/2015 it is now 6/2015. There has been 2 contracted companies and about 12 visits to my home. Today 6/5/15 i am still without a working microwave. I have children at home and my life sometimes depends on a microwave. I have asked that my microwave be replaced or allow me to purchase a microwave and I would be reimbursed. There has not been anyone to approve either request. Not to mention the 2nd company that came out my home warranty was not aware of them coming out. (scary)Well this is because the 1st company transferred the service call to another company because they were unsuccessful with fixing my Microwave.This is not the 1st time i have had issues with AHS. I have another contract and i had issues with the oven and microwave not working. AHS dragged their feet once again. Since these appliances were old and my family living there really needed working appliances. I went ahead and replaced the appliances myself. When I think of the use of my Home Warranty I no longer see the value. I will not recommend them. The story of let downs can go on, even with my air conditioner, same issue. This company will not replace appliances period! There is no one to follow up to make sure customers are satisfied. I have done surveys and i call AHS every other day. AMERICA i am still without a working microwave. Microwaves are so cheap to replace. I'm a homeowner i can easily replace a simple microwave. What about when there is a major issue going on in my home. I see that i will not be serviced properly as a customer. I have talked to numerous representatives and even spoke with escalations. Im doing all the foot work for free. Im just so upset, about how they don't strive to satisfy customers. Even if you choose not to satisfy customers. Lets think about it this way, I have had 2 companies a total of 12 visits ($50x12) minimum $50 a/visit vs a microwave costing $275. This company had paid for my microwave TWICE now and i am not satisfied and once again my microwave is not working.

This company is a FRAUD. We purchased the First Choice Full Coverage Plan +Pool Coverage and paid the whole year in advance August 29, 2012 in order to get the 13th month free. Keith R. Goodman was the Regional Manager for California that set up our plan and took our payment. In March 2013 we tried to contact SWW and could not reach anyone for a pool repair claim. I even tried calling the number to set up a new plan and could not reach anyone! We contacted our Attorney General for help and still received no response from State Wide Warranty. If someone says anything other than fraud, I would like to know what phone number they are calling and who their contact person is. Again, STATE WIDE WARRANTY is a FRAUD.
