AHS does not provide service as promised and does not fulfill contractual obligations. I have been dealing with them for 2.5 months for one appliance repair. Companies have stated the appliance cannot be repaired and must be replaced. AHS denies this. In follow-up with the appliance repair company, they state AHS is known for altering our documentation. Multiple repair companies and nothing has been resolved. The worst ever!!!

I have been waiting 3 weeks for an update on my claim for a broken water heater. I have called 4 or 5 times and been given a different answer to when I will hear back on the cash out option for this (which is an option guaranteed to me by my service contract). I have not had hot water for 3 weeks and this is unacceptable. Every time I speak with a representative they tell me I have to wait 48 more business hours and "someone will call me" - no one ever does. Then I call back and get told I will have to wait 7-14 more days!!! This process is EXTREMELY frustrating.

Issues: washer needed replacing. Excellent customer service & speedy by contractor. Very professional. #2 Hot water heater leaking! Discovered, it was 20+ years old! Contractor was great in responding & replacement with new heater quickly. We were required to cover charges for bringing installation to code.The charge was costly. However, it was not covered by AHS warranty which was explained thoroughly by contractor’s staff. Nevertheless, we are pleased.

TOTAL SCAM!, everyone here need to band together for class action lawsuit, a 1 star over 1000 complaints. I have the ultimate package; I called them to check of many things on one day to avoid multiple trade fees since they all fall under plumbing; bought older house but within 2 months things started to leak, toilet, faucets, etc so I saved all the calls to one call; technician saw that I tried to fix a few of them (i.e just took handle of one faucet and since did not see furniture in the home says everything like 7 other things is pre-existing! of course, it's "pre-existing", it's old house in 1999 so they were bound to break over time! however, if they weren't broken at the time I bought the home or before I bought the warranty, it SHOULD be covered! home warranty covers all homes not just newly built homes, so the fact that things started to break after purchasing the property all in few months time frame, they REFUSED to fix anything and just lumped everything together as pre-existing! I tried to explain that a rusted out screw at the base of toilet is different from the flapper not working or the basin leaking; they are now they are charging me $65 for some guy to take pictures and say, everything is pre-existing. Pure crap. I will not be paying this so called trade-fee for about 10 minutes maybe of taking digital photos. Very poor first impression of the ultimate package. I would cancel this crap if I could. I will be writing to their billing dept for a one time courtesy zeroing of this trade fee; the premium package cost ALOT MORE than $65. they can spare this $65 trade fee and comp it. by zeroing out this $65 shows that at least they are listening to their customers and boost their public user scores which right now is dismal, makes sense after what I have gone through for a simple plumbing toilet, faucet fix.

Very rude and unprofessional sub contractors, i called to complain about two service issues i had and the person who answered the phone just did not want to resolve the issue, really unprofessional. Cancelling my contract with American Home Shield, and going back to Fidelity Home warranty. If you really want good service with out hassle i would highly recomand Fidelity Home warranty.

Just started warranty service for our newer home last August and have already needed repairs on our washer/dryer, refrigerator, and microwave. Eric from Foster\'s Appliance Service has come out on all the repairs and resolved the problems without any issues. He is very professional and courteous, and arrives at the promised time and date. Very satisfied overall with AHS, and Foster's. I highly recommend to anyone who owns a home.

I must say that they fixed many things in my home and saved me thousands although I was dissatisfied with how many tries it would take at times as some vendor they connected with did sloppy jobs so we had to place more tickets to get the same items fixed more than once. Eventually things were replaced we were happy campers. Where we are dissatisfied with them is the fact that they dropped our services and denied our renewal. Reason....because basically we costed them lots of money. What is this warranty for then if we cannot use them. Obviously you pay a warranty company so when there is a need you can use their services not so you can pay them hundreds of dollars and not use at all. In the end we might just go with American Shield my mother has it and has been with them for years and never dropped. This was my first and last time using Old Republic they are a scam!

Contractor was excellent. It took five weeks for the parts distributor to get the part in (not the contractor's fault). The contractor stayed 'on' the parts distributor until the part arrived. They then scheduled the final repair as soon as possible. The contractor was clean, neat, and the two repair representatives excellent. I choose this contractor to do work for me when not covered by my AHS Home Warranty.

We had a blockage in the main line of our home starting Saturday. They did not send a plumber out until 3 days later. We had to move out of our home for that time. They sent Gennaro's Plumbing company who diagnosed the problem and said they would be back to fix the clog. The clog was due to latex paint being placed down the sink. (The painting company we hired). They then decided they could not fix the problem and never bothered showing back up or calling us back. The company(AHS)took hours to call us back to let us know that they would not be fixing the clog or that the plumbers would not be fixing the clog. I am very disappointed with the service. It does not matter to me who pays for the repairs I just wanted it fixed. I cannot believe they would send out a plumber that can not take care of such a basic problem.
