Stay far away from AHS! Had several service calls over 45 days to give company chance to fix my toilet toilet. The toilet had a very weak flush. "Authorizations" department was working with Hers and His Plumbing who was trying to pin the weak flush in my toilet on my plumbing (home built in 2004). Finally got a 2nd opinion who said that there was calcium buildup in the internal water passages inside the toilet and that was causing the weak flush. AHS asked if I wanted to take the $250 buyout or continue to try to repair existing toilet. Took the buyout, replaced toilet, flushes better than ever! AHS only sent $150 of the $250 they promised for some "service return fee!" Asked to cancel was transferred to "retentions" which was a recording that stated that there was nobody available to talk to me and the line hung up!! STAY AWAY!!

The company has bad quality vendors!! They take a long time to schedule an appointment. Some are even rude. I had several issues with American Home Shields! I have been with them for a few years because I have a lot of rentals I manage and right now I have 9 polices. Their level of service has declined dramatically and I am always aggravated when I need to call them. I am very unsatisfied! The customer service line takes over one hour to have a live person. I had wrong charges in my account. The vendors are not professional, usually small companies that do not respond on a timely manner and a lot of times are difficult to reach. To illustrate what I have been through, in one case (service request in August) it took the vendor over 2 weeks to schedule the first appointment to repair the AC. After the appointment another week to actually repair the AC. I had several issues with the tenants because of American Home Shields and had to pay for AC window units and discount the rent because they could not stay in the house with their kids. Several times I called American Home Shields to resolve an issue and I got transfer from one department to another with long wait times, all over half an hour to one hour. I am not planning on renewing any of my policies. I thought American Home Shield was a reliable company with good ratings. But I was wrong! A big disappointment it has been... And very stressful all the time! This is an unfortunate review but it is the truth and I wish I could say good things about them but my experience lately has been horrendous!

-100 would be the best sum up. I am so not happy I\'m doing my slowly breath in slowly breath out calming exercises. If they would just answer the phone I would let them know how I feel. And if this stupid wait music makes my ears fall off I\'m making them pay for my doctor visit. Their hold times are not ridiculous they are a joke. Know why...they don't have a costumer service office. The number really goes to their office nursery and they've shut off the ringer. I'm not just writing the BBB about them, I'm calling them and mailing a letter. Whomever has had a good experience must be a loving and forgiving person. I can't turn my cheek on this one it's costing too much money and time. They are not getting any more free passes. Wait time over any hour? That's when they are told to pick up the phone. Don't hang up until it's one minute over an hour. Then u got 'em. Our call is important to them...on what planet? They care about their costumers? Sorry I laughed so hard that music stopped. Oh yeah, we know what that is - false hope. Almost choked on my cell phone. People we have to stop this sour company from taking our money and signing more people up because of their commercials. Call and complain to radio and television stations and tell them to drop this dishonest company. Oh, if your on hold and the music stops, don't get your hopes up they're just messing with you. Call to order and you get a very cheery voice immediately. Funny thing is I got the same thing when I called to complain and in a flash I was swept away with the current and I ended up here. I know I'll need therapy but I'm actually still hanging on the line. Okay I'm hanging up an hour is my limit.

Response time from the contractor (ARTIC AIR) was quick. Scheduling was immediate. Service Tech (Sal) was knowledgable, personable, and professional. He annolized the problem and had to schedule a follow-up visit the complete the repair. The follow-up visit was to install a new cut-off switch. The job has been completed satisfactorily. Thanks AHS.

My ac is running (offside unit) freon is fine. Was told dirty filter. Now told ac too big for house. Old repulsive is now saying the issue is the unit not the continual running. Warranty cop out excuse. American quality at work. Viva capitalism

I have just renewed my warranty for the 3rd year. I have been very pleased with Old Republic. They are always quick to respond to my request for service. They have fixed my ac several times as well as my washer and my dryer. The only complaint I have is having to wait almost week for a compressor for my ac twice. Apparently it was not installed correctly the first time. Other than that the service has been quick and courteous. I love the peace of mind having the warranty gives me.
