Don’t waste even a penny on Lowes Protection plus extended warranty scam. They tell you if you have no claims during the wararanty period they will pay back 30% of the premium paid. That’s total BS !!!! Screw me once they’re fault !!! Screw me again my fault !!! I be learned my lesson. No more Lowes Appliances for me !

This was the first time I tried to use the online portal to make an appointment. Not so good an experience as using the toll free phone number. Got online Thursday night; the system hooked me up with Sears for a repair on Monday evening by 5:pm. I would have not been able to use the appliance in total 4 days! That was unacceptable. So I called AHS directly using the toll free phone number and got contacted to a real live person who canceled my Sears appointment, and she set me up with Direct Appliance Repair. Direct called me by 8:30AM the next morning and by 9:45 same day on Friday my washer was fixed. Thanks Direct Appliance Repair you are fast, awesome and saved the day. Smaller companies can work quickly and are more nibble. Larger companies like Sears and slow and really do not care if your appliance gets fixed in four days or four weeks. Always use the toll fee number and pick your vendor; I always pick Direct Appliance Repair. The owner is a great guy and he gets the job done fast, first time, no issues.

Beware of buying this for your appliance , Called for service for oven not working on March 5th , scheduled service for the 7th , the repair company did a no call no show . Called back and scheduled another service company for the 10th came out bad board . Lowe’s didn’t approve the repair till the 13 th now it’s the 16th and was told the part might be in around the 20th and then will need to wait till they can come out to fix the oven so we can eat dinner. I talked to a customer service manager and she said there is no unusual time frame here and I should just use a hot plate to cook my food while waiting , I’ve bought thousands of dollars with of products from Lowe’s and this is the worst service I’ve ever experienced and will never shop at there store again . Think before you buy something that you may depend on or need service for.. ps I gave a one stare only because I couldn’t leave a minus star

I had a great experience using American Home Shield. I filled out the service request form online which was super easy. The contractor called me the same day and set up an appointment for the following day. He was able to service my AC and get it cooling again. The contractor was very professional and nice. He even included his cell phone number along with the company number, and he said if I had any more problems just call his cell and he would be back to check his work. my most recent experience was when my compressor went out on my ac this past summer. I contact AHS and they sent out a tech. The tech gave me some advice on how to keep my house cool until my part could arrive in a few days. I took the tech advice and I was able to stay cool and save money by not going to stay in a hotel. The part came in rather quickly and my ac was repaired in a timely manner..

Our last American Home Shield experience was very positive. The schedulling of a repair on a ceiling fan light switch was made very efficiently online, and within 24 hrs we had an appointment with a local electrician. He called 30 minutes before his arrival and confirmed our address. He was very professional and competent, and completed the repair once he purchased the specific part he needed at a local hardware store. We had added into the service call when originally set up an additional non-covered repair that also needed to be done on the ceiling fan that had never been properly wired since the house was built, simply to make the wall switch control the ceiling fan instead of the pull cords only. The reason the switch broke was due to the excessive use of the pull cord over the past 10 years. The electrician agreed originally to do the repair and charge separately for the extra service. However, upon seeing that all that needed to be done to activate the wall switch connection to the ceiling fan was to connect one wire, he made the quick repair and did not charge extra for the service. We were very surprised and thankful for his professional courtesy and expertise. This was a very positive experience with American Home Shield, and we could not stress enough to home buyers the need for purchasing a homeowners warranty, especially from American Home Shield, in the event of anything breaking down and needing repair. We have made several service calls over the years, including service to the washer/dryer and air conditioner, and have always been pleased at the outcome of each call. Knowing the cost will simply be a flat copay really helps!
