I needed my refrigerator freezer repaired. I contacted AHS and an air conditioner company was assigned to my work order. After reviewing the reviews on the internet, I called AHS customer service to find an appliance company instead of an air conditioner company to fix my refrigerator. I was told that I needed to wait at least 24 hours for the ac company to call me. Hours later, I called again. This time customer service told me that the ac company was a mechanical company and could repair refrigerators. I still had not heard from the ac company. The AHS customer service tech called and scheduled an appointment for the next day (with my approval). The next morning the ac tech called that he was on his way. He came and looked at my refrigerator and told me what the problem was. Fortunately, the problem had corrected itself or I had corrected the problem unknowingly. I was getting frost crystals inside the freezer. I couldn't find that the door was being blocked from closing. The ice maker was also making strange noises. The tech told me that the door was closing correctly and the seal was secure. The ice maker was more than likely grinding a chunk of ice from the door being slightly ajar at one time. After all my worries, the service call and service tech turned out great! The service tech was informative, knowledgeable and friendly.

The contractor was prompt and friendly. He spent a considerable amount of time making sure he found the correct solution to our A/C and that it was working correctly. Whatever doubts we had about joining AHS were erased with this first service call

I have had to use them twice since purchasing my home. Once for my ice maker an once for ac. Both times the repairs were completed by very knowledgable and friendly techs. Their response time in completing repairs were very quick especially when my ac went out. I am pleased with this company and how they hand repairs. I have recommended them to other family members who have purchased a plan in other states.

Horrible company. If you want to avoid the wait when calling them call their resolution line at 1-866-862-4508. Theres only like 8 people in the department and they pick up the phone. Jennifer is one of them and her extension is 1075432299. You can also go on www.ahs.com/real-estate/find-a-local-rep/ and put in your zip code and it will give you the name and CELL PHONE of the local sales rep.They cant help you but I found if you annoy them enough they'll give you the number to someone that can. Hopefully this helps anyone dealing with this horrible company.

This company was good when I had them (since 2011), but over the past 3 years, they have been horrible. I have frequently questioned why I was paying monthly premiums when they were not covering anything. Today was the final straw when it came to the hot water heater. After 7 years with this company, I fired them today, because I am getting NOTHING for my years of timely payments. All I can say now is that I should have dropped them 3 years ago. I took care of that problem today.

A few years ago, my A/C was on its last leg and was breaking down regularly. AHS refused to replace my A/C because they felt doing "Band-aid" repairs was more economical. With the money spent to do all these bandaid repairs, my unit could have been replaced. I wound up replacing it myself. AHS needs to start recognizing when an appliance is beyond repair and just suck it up and replace. Especially for customers who have been customers for years.

I just experienced a great company (Ace Air /Heating) out of Brandon Fl, The rep was quite familiar with my problem. (A/C) and in know tie at all had my problem resolved. It’s nice to see an American company doing this for Disabled American Vets.
