American Home Shield (AHS)
When the temperatures dropped into the 20s in our Florida home we realized that we had no heat. We immediately called AHS and actually spoke with a human (positive experience) who recommended a company (and technician) who was familiar with our system. Upon calling the repair company we were disappointed to discover that no one could be dispatched immediately (due to high work volume) but we were told when the technician would arrive and true to their word he arrived on the date and time promised and respires our furnace. Overall, very pleased.

American Home Shield (AHS)
The technician was a total professional, courteous, knowledgeable, fast, efficient, took time to explain our system\'s problem, took time to explain operation of our new thermostat, which is working perfectly. Could not be more pleased and would recommend AHS to anyone based on my experience.

American Home Shield (AHS)
My repair ended up being a clogged drain line coming from our garbage disposal. I thought the unit had failed . I probably could have had a local plumber come for the same ant I had to pay but not knowing what was wrong I used AHS. The plumber called me within the hour and came the very next day. Nice guy, very professional and apologized profusely for more water getting on the floor than he expected. Even though no appliance failed I was glad I called AHS and their response time was better than expected.

American Home Shield (AHS)
My air conditioner was not blowing cold air. I called American Home Shield on a Friday afternoon. I live in Florida and it was 97 degrees. A 72 year old woman was living in this home who had a heart condition. I was given the name of TOTAL AIR CARE. I called them and was on hold for 50 minutes until I became disconnected. I called again and was able to leave a message on their emergency number. I waited until the next day and called again and left another message. I called back Sunday, the same thing. I called American Home shield and told them not one was responding. They said there was nothing they could do, even though I met the criteria for emergency service. I called back Monday and was again on hold for 45 minutes before I was cut off. I called back an additional 3 times and they number just beeped. I called American Hone Shield and told them I wanted to use a local company, not in their network, as their company was not responding. They said that Total Air Care would have to call them and tell them they cannot come to my residence today. I told them I can't get through and American Home Shield called them and could not get through either. They said they sent them an email and if I did not hear back in several hours to call back. I called back American Home shield when total air care did not respond. After waiting 50 minutes, American Home Shield said they would send another email and if I did not hear back I several hours to call back. No one called me. On Tuesday early morning, I finally got through to Total air care and they said the quickest appointment was Wednesday. I called back American home shield and told them the situation and they said the other companies would probably not be any quicker at this point and I should keep my appointment. They came out and supposedly fixed the air conditioner, but it still did not cool down the house. I called back to air conditioning company and they said I had to call American home shield first before they could go back out. (keep in mind I waited at least 30 minutes before I cold get through to either company.) I called back American home shield and they said it was hot in Florida and the companies were very busy. Total air care came out 2 days later and finally fixed the problem. The technician said he forgot to tighten a valve the first time. I waited for over a week until I had cool air. Considering I was given an emergency designation by the company, I received no resolution for one week. I am going to past my experience on every social media site that I can find.

Old Republic Home Protection
7/12/14 Air conditioner quit on Saturday afternoon. Called 800# to report. Was told their service provider was 1 hour away and I was to call them myself. Service provider answering service person was quite unprofessional, curt, said no service until Monday because Republic would not pay for weekend service fee of $195. I called Republic back, explained how hot and humid FL is in July, elderly spouse with COPD and heart issues. Republic rep received approval for Sunday service and called service provider to tell them it was approved. Service provider never showed up on Sunday. Republic called me at noon on Sunday and said the provider told her that Republic work order had been cancelled for priority service; they sent repair person home and had no one else to come to our home; and they would come out on Monday between 9-10am. I requested Republic Mgr call me which he did several hours later and said Republic Rep had not regened the work order request once approval was given for priority service; said they have 3 business days to complete a request and it is still considered a "priority request: and provider should be at our home home on Monday morning, apologized but said they would not pick up service fee deductible even though their employee was at fault. Mgr was very using a frustrated voice with me which I felt was inappropriate because we are the customer who paid for this insurance and still without a/c and no real guarantee of when a provider might come out. Our home is 85 degrees now with 78% humidity and we are suffering for another sleepless night. I have Republic renewal form laying on the counter. Would you renew with this company??
