Did not like the idea of home warranty choosing repairman, took two tries before a good plumber came. Also the Home warranty receptionist was hard to understand and took a while before we were on the same page.

DO NOT purchase an AHS Home Warranty! The customer service is terrible. We are a military family who purchased a home in Florida, and are currently renting it to an 85-year-old tenant. When the dishwasher broke on November 16, 2017, we filed a claim. It is now January 31, 2018, and we DO NOT have a new dishwasher. I have been on hold for close to 24 hours combined in the last 6-8 weeks, talking to different customer service representatives trying to get this resolved. Twice, I've waited more than 90 minutes to speak to a representative, only to be placed back on hold and then HUNG UP on. Between AHS, GE (the manufacturer), and the installation company, this dishwasher has been re-ordered three times and has not been installed. Most recently, Naya at Appliance Ordering told me it was MY fault and gave me a tremendous amount of attitude when I told her what a terrible experience I was having. Bottom line -- this is RIDICULOUS for any customer, and even more frustrating as a military family who is living 700 miles away from the property we own due to military orders. I don't care what premium we're paying -- this is not how you treat customers. I'm counting down the days until our contract expires and we can be done with AHS.

We had a leak in the area of the guest bathroom that was ruining the flooring in the living room and the guest bedroom. I put in a claim to AHS on line and got the canned response that the contractor has up to 24 hours to contact me. The plumber that AHS selected shows up at our house the following evening, all the time I have water running underneath my flooring. The plumber was an imergrant from one of the USSR’s provenances and spoke with a heavy accent. He had no way to find the leak short of destroying the whole wall between the living room and the bathroom. So “he guessed” at it and said it was the toilet leaking at the base. I explained to him that the bathroom was used very little and I didn’t believe it was toilet water that was leaking. He began to tell me that he had been a plumber for X amount of years and so on and so on. I spent the next 45 minutes or more listening to this guy rant about how sloppy the previous plumber had been which was why the leak occurred. I had already paid my $75 deductible, the toilet was not leaking from the base so I was forced to call in a plumber who had the capability to locate a leak on a slab built house. He came in, found the leak and repaired it. I turned in another claim and they were going to send the same plumber but I fired back and told AHS I would not allow him on my property Total cost of that repair was $470.00, of which I turned into AHS for some kind of reimbursement. This was several months ago and I have heard nothing. I cannot nor will I recommend AHS to anyone. I had 2-10 home warranty prior to inheriting AHS from the previous home owners. I have other issues I have gone through that is continually costing me money but AHS will do nothing until the unit completely dies. I will be searching for another home warranty service company before time to renew. Most likely 2-10 if they are available in this part of Florida. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!

Repair person came out promptly; however, he told us that AHS did not cover the type of service he would need to perform in order to clear our clogged drain. He claimed that he could still do the repair (by going through the roof) but it was too late in the day to complete it so he would have to follow up the next day and he quoted us $135. I called our regular plumber who stated they could clear the clog (by going through the roof) for $115 so we asked them to come and fix the problem. They fixed the problem WITHOUT having to go through the roof, charged us what was quoted, and was finished in under an hour. Now AHS will not reimburse me $75 service fee for work that they should have been able to do and is supposed to be covered by my plan. I'm very dissatisfied!

They are the WORST I have ever seen, They take you only if you don\'t cost them money if they can make money from you but if you cost them money for one year they will kick you out even if you had several homes and all the others didn\'t cost them money but only money cost them they will not take this one They take the good one and LEAVE You The BAD ONE Whey I am doing warranty and paying money if I am not going to benefit from it one day why I keep renewing it if I know that if I need something they will not do You WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY DO Not GO With OLD REPUBLIC for YOUR HOME WARRANTY

In the plan 4 months. Great service with the plumber. disaster with the air conditioner service. 11 days to diagnose, order part and install in July in Florida. When installing part the 2 service repair men were arguing about how to wire the part electrically Follow up visit today to clear drainage problem in A/C told service (9am-noon). it is now 1:40 PM I called. "They are working me in" this is the second time they have not shown up as scheduled. will not renew with AHS when contract is up. This contract was paid through the Coldwell Banker realty and previous owner of the property. I will go back to Service America

The contractor showed up within 10 minutes of the scheduled time (early), identified himself, asked about our problem and set to work on resolution. Within 30 minutes he had determined the fault, installed a new part and had the unit working correctly once again.

Horrible experience with AHS. Was lied to over and over again. I had two a/c' go out on Monday, 4/28/14. For the past six days I could not get a technician to respond to my home. AHS would not answer my calls or messages. AHS continued to collect their monthly fee. I canceled my account on 5/2/14. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. LIARS, THIEVES and MORALLY CORRUPT.
