Very pleased with P***** plumber J**. He resolved the issue I was having with my sink. He bought the new faucet and installed it and did a great job. AHS recommended this company.

Our AhS coverage had just gone into effect when we suffered two plumbing problems. I called, explained the situation and AHS sent a plumber from High Priority Plumbing as soon as possible to fix the problems. The repairs were handled expediently and professionally. My only regret is that we had not purchased our AHS warranty sooner. Dr. James D. Harper, Sr.

False diagnosis of kitchen faucet caused AHS to not approve repair. Scheduled a 2nd opinion but cancelled because did not trust another mechanic though AHS would give me an honest diagnosis. I scheduled my own plumber for a 2nd opinion who found T-joint and coils under sink causing low pressure problems. He repaired sink and it works beautifully. This easy fix should have been a covered but for a bad diagnosis. I asked AHS customer service how to address this issue and was told there was no way to submit my 2nd opinion repair receipt for reconsideration and reimbursement for repairs which should have been covered. I was also told there was no complaint department or supervisor I could speak to to request a diagnosis review and repair reimbursement costs. My only choice was to post complaint on this site.

I have been with AHS for several years. I have seen many improvements in the service provided. My experience with the contractors has been variable. The jobs have all been completed in a timely manner but the level of professionalism does vary. I am pleased with my home warranty thus far.

It was easy filing a claim on the website for an issue in my home. If I have to call Customer Service, the representatives are helpful and friendly. I hear from contractors within 12-24 hours. They are friendly and professional. If an issue is not resolved after the initial service, the contractors are easy to work with and willing to return to check the issue again. I do not want to think about the out-of-pocket costs if a service like American Home Shield did not exist.

Shelly, the exact thing happened to me. I have had the warranty for 3 years, never had a claim. My hot water heater goes out, takes forever to get a claim person on the phone (the sales person however gets on immediately). It is suppose to cost me 60.00, but numerous items are not "covered" like 1. pick up from Home Depot the new water heater 2. disposal of the old water heater 3. required permit and inspection from the city 4. pressure release valve 5. price of new heater over what it cost 8 years ago. All together the new water heater installed and permitted was about 1000 dollars, they sent me a check for 320. I will say my brother who lives in Texas also uses this company and he has had excellent results, so I'm not sure what the difference is in location.

This is the worst home warranty company we have ever had. They will send incompetent tech after another to keep trying to repair rather than replace your appliance. It has been over a week and my refrigerator is STILL NOT FIXED. Managers who say they will call you back NEVER do (Angie). I've never worked with so many incompetent people before in my life. How do you not consider it an emergency when the refrigerator goes out and is out for over a week. Tech was suppose to arrive this morning, its now after 4pm on a beautiful Saturday, still waiting and still no tech. Wasted food and medicine. Non-caring, cold and incompetent. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY...PLEASE!
