In fact often we just us the ap on our phone. The contractor is assigned, diagnosis performed and whatever is needed HAPPENS. Had a furnace replaced and is not working properly. The contractor can’t figure out why it’s not working properly. After I called AHS numerous times the customer rep told me that there’s nothing else they can do for me. I requested to speak to a supervisor/manager, told that they’ll give me a call in an hour, still waiting.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of service I received from American Home Shield. AHS was expeditious about informing me they were ready to assist me by replacing my water heater. The process was expeditious and flawless. They took care of my work order in a matter of hours instead of a matter of days. The coordination between AHS and the contractor who performed the service was transparent. They worked together with one purpose in mind and that was to ensure the customer, was totally satisfied . The technician who performed the installation was OUTSTANDING!!! He was meticulous, knowledgeable, careful, safety certified, and left his work area spotless. My washer broke down and after the first company came and denied the claim, I called AHS to discuss the matter and they offered a 2nd opinion with GE and they were wonderful, motor was burnt out and AHS called and replaced my washer. Was very grateful for them to get a 2nd opinion but will not ever use the 1st company again that they sent out and AHS was very understanding.

I\'ve had service agreement with AHS for several years. They continue to put a bandage on our A/C unit and the technicians answer to what was wrong is "is\'t a wire". How many times before you replace the unit or appliance? We prefer to call in service request and the hold time is unacceptable. My suggestion if you are looking for a home warranty company, Read the FINE Print.

Customer service wait time is over an hour, which is ridiculous. Vendor Apex repair service is the worst. It took 2 weeks for them to order a screw that was needed for an appliance of mine. Some of their other select vendors that have come to my home were better in customer service, time, and quality of work.

The temperature was dropping to the low thirtys. The blower motor on the heating system went out. The contractors arrived, cut the wires from the motor, removed the motor and fan and then said the fan cage needed to be cleaned (for an additional $75). I told them ok and then they said they had the wrong motor on hand and had to get another one. After they left AHS representative called and said repair would not be authorized and contractors would not be back that night to reconnect the unit. To date they have not returned and I cancelled 2 AHS contracts because of this. Every time I have called in service AHS has found some reason to either deny the claim or add additional charges. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

From the point and time of my calling in for issues with my garage door, the turn around response was within the AHS guidelines. Customer Service was very friendly and able to immediately get the ball rolling with the excellent service I have come to expect. On the day of the appointment, I was properly greeted by the contractor specified, dressed according with his company uniform clearly indicating a neat and professional presence, as well as, his personally identifying who he was. He was pleasant allowing me to take the lead in directing him after his introduction. He knew immediately what the problem was with the door, visibly showing me what the issue was, and specific details on all price point options and alternatives. This allowed me to opportunity to make the best choice for total cost. The time frame to order parts for accurate. He returned on the day I was given to complete the service. Special note; on what was to be the final service installation, the contractor noticed the foundation was not level..went the extra mile to reorder another part, came back and fix the door, removing a gap between the foundation and the rubber sealant at the bottom of the door. This was a huge benefit to me, as the lizard which were once able to easily access entry, are no longer are able to do so. This company would be highly recommended as a 5 star business, who does what it does with the level of professionalism any homeowner would be happy to recommend to other. Over all rating exceeded on all fronts.
