American Home Shield (AHS)
I have had contracts with American Home Shield (AHS) for several years now. My most recent problem was with a backup of my plumbing. I had a clog or two that backed up both of my toilets. I notified AHS that evening and they were quick to assign my situation to a plumbing repair company. That company was High Priority Plumbing and Services (HPPS). HPPS contacted me the next morning and we were able to schedule an appointment to my satisfaction. The repair person that arrived was very professional and courteous. He also kept me informed on what he was doing and involved me in the decision making process since it was not a straight forward breaking up one clog. He advised me of the various processes he could do and explained them in a very clear manner. He went about his work and had my toilets and all my drains flowing smoothly in no time at all. I was very impressed with his work and highly recommend him to anyone else that has a plumbing problem. I wish I could have him for any and all plumbing problems in the future. His name is Jason Rhodes and he is a very competent plumber.

I have been a member of American Home Shield for quite a few years now and I have nothing but good things to say about this company. All of the repairs that I have required have been conducted quickly and professionally. Being able to report a problem via the phone or website is great. I have done it both ways and have not had any problems either way. A contractor is assigned quickly and each contractor has contacted me within the time frame given me by AHS. The contractors have been courteous and professional. They have completed the repairs in short time. I am very pleased with AHS and plan to stay with them for many more years.

I have had to use this company for several repairs in the past and all of the contractors were great. The most recent repair work was to my central air conditioning system. It was not cooling properly. I contacted AHS and they assigned my repair to a local company who contacted me to set a date for the repair. The repair person arrived on schedule and was very professional the whole time. The repair was made and I was completely satisfied with the work.

Old Republic Home Protection
Issue with previous repairs. Old Republic only warranties work for 30 days and will not budge. Heat/AC repaired twice and not working again and will not live up to work performed. Most contractors do little work. Customer service is not the greatest (only one understood issue). Will not let new warranty customers service be addressed for minimum 30 days even if fully paid. Did not explain full details of policies until questioned. renewal policy more expensive than purchasing new. Shady.....
