Assurant is the protection plan, and I have to say if I could go below ZERO I would. I paid $249.91 for a plan on 3 appliances in October, 2022. The stove was defective and two days later, Lowe\'s brought me a different stove, and told me that Assurant would transfer the policy. What a crock! Anyway, supposedly after sending countless copies of receipts and emails, they were going to issue a refund. A MONTH later, still no refund. They say it was cancelled by Lowe's store and the store would issue refund, but the store said no, it was a third party. The credit card from Lowe's (Synchrony) said it had already been handled, and closed my dispute, although we hadn't gotten a refund. Then, Assurant told me the check had been sent and I should check with my post office.....Lowe's told me they don't see that the policy was ever cancelled. Finally, the store manager got hold of someone at Assurant (who had argued with me this morning that it had been cancelled and refund issued), told Lowe's the policy had NOT been cancelled, and they claim they will send me a refund but it will take THIRTY more days. I do a lot of business with Lowe's but this Assurant is a CROCK OF CRAP. Save your money. Never again.View Less

My only disappointment so far with AHS is the unbearably long time it takes to contact a CSR. In my experience it has me we been less than a 30 minute wait to speak with a CSR. Some times it has taken an hour. One time the line was disconnected and I had to call back and wait another 30-45 minutes to speak with the CSR. RECOMMENDATION: AHS can im...View Moreprove this by hiring many more CSRs. It should be considered unacceptable to have such long waits, even during "higher volume of calls than expected" periods which apparently is the case every day. Other than that, I have had good response and service from AHS and its contractors. Despite the issue of contacting a CSR at AHS, Istill recommend AHS. I plan to renew next year when our current contract expires. It still for me is worth not worrying about something in our home failing and being stuck with an unwanted major expense.View Less
