American Home Shield home warranty is little more than a scam. The blower died in my furnace in the late Fall. American Home Shield wouldn\'t send anyone out to assess whether it was dangerous for at least a week, so I had to hire an independent contractor to do a safety check. After weeks of bad communication and failed fixes, they made me pay $1600 toward the "covered" new furnace without giving me a say in what I bought. The unit was so inefficient, the increased utility cost offset anything I saved using the warranty. They also had the nerve to charge me for 3 separate visits to cover each time they had their contractor try and fail to fix the old unit. The new one is loud, expensive to operate, and the installation was a hack job. Do not use American Home Shield. Put the money aside for hiring your own local contractor.

First Premier Home Warranty





Since i signed up with FIRST PEMIER HOME WARRANTY company in October 2022, i have been very disappointed. On December 30th i filed a claim to have a plumber clean out drain that was flooding my basement. When i submitted the invoice , the claim was approved on January 9th, Then it wasn\'t until February 16th that i received a very small amount in compensation for repair. After repeated phone calls, i was finally informed that because the invoice didn't have "PAID" written on it, that they only approved this claim out of "Good will".? What the ? So, to complicate matters, i came home from work in early January and my heater wasn't working. I immediately called my service heating cooling repair company to fix furnace. When i called FP and told them that i had to have my furnace repaired, and It was an emergency ...FP told me that i can only submit ONE claim at a time. and no worries, when the basement claim is closed just send us the paid invoice for heater repair. Okay, So when the basement claim was FINALLY closed on Feb 16th 2023 i immediately submitted a paid invoice to FP for furnace repair on Feb 21st.... Of course i didn't hear anything from FP So i called, and spoke w a very rude agent who wouldn't give me his name, but he did inform me that this claim for heater repair was DENIED because i didnt get FP approval to have the furnace repaired .? WHAT THE ? I now know that FP has very strict protocol policies on submitting claims, and anyone can be denied on one of their made up technicalities.... and with all the loopholes and "not following protocol" It's almost impossible to get anything appvoved. I WILL NEVER USE FP AGAIN...... However in their defense, if you insist and press them, they will finally agree to speak w/ you about the 'PROPER PROTOCOL PROCEDURES". At least they will give u a little info on filing a claim, but don't worry, they will find a reason not to approve you're claim They have no TRANSPARENCY w/ this company.... I would try and ask for a partial refund, but i know that they will tell me I didn't follow the proper protocol for cancelling my warranty. What a joke! UPDATE: Since first posting this complaint a few months ago, thing have gone from bad to worse. I called around 1st of April 2023 to file a claim to have my washer repaired. It was leaking water. So this time i used theyre recommended appliance Repair company. On the day Consemaca app. repair guy was to look at washer... well guess what... He never showed up. And he will not return my calls. Nothing. I also am unable to reach FP by phone to request another appliance repair company. Every time i call First Premeir puts me on hold and eventually the call disconnects. However, GOOD NEWS.... I reached their answering service this morning, only to find out that FP is closed for the weekend. But she will send a message to the company and they will call me back asap. RIGHT! I think i have a better chance at winning the lottery than getting a return phone call from First Premier home warranty company. What do you think...? I would rate this company at a -0

Do NOT purchase a warranty from Lowes they use a 3rd party vendor Assur***. They concentrate on running you around so that eventually you will give up. 11 days without a washer because of their incompetency. I like Lowes, but these people at Assur*** are the worst I have dealt with in my entire life. And it doesnt help that you cannot speak to a person who resides in the United States. I would give negitive stars if it would allow me to do so.

Great tonwork either AHS on getting our dishwasher taken care of. The tech spent alot of time trying to get it repaired. When that proved impossible, he quickly set up the replacement order. The response rom AHS on getting the reimbursement was quick and efficient. The new dishwasher was installed today, and we were so glad to have it!

We have had our home warranty since we purchased our home in 2018 and it has been a godsend. We’ve had a washing machine replaced, air conditioner replaced, water heater replaced and several service requests in between. Once my request is submitted I am contacted by the contractor, service is scheduled and and the repair happens. Recently we had a couple plumbing issues and the plumbers that came were amazing and fixed several items in one trip and for one deductible and it was amazing. As a real estate agent I share my experience with my homebuyers as well so they can also feel the peace of mind I have when things break around the house. Thanks for your wonderful service!!

Lowes protection plan simply stinks. I called to schedule a MINOR repair of a hinge on a refrig. On hold 50 minutes then got to talk to a pleasant lady who scheduled me an appointment. When the day came for the appointment I called the service company they set me up with and the company DOES NOT HONOR or work with Lowes. Now I am back on hold with Lowes 1 hour and waiting for someone to answer the phone.

I have been a customer for over 20 years and some of those years I did not even do a claim, however, as of late I’m very disappointed in service provided. I did a claim for washer and I had to pay $5 and change for the cheapest one being I am on a fixed income. Recently I submitted a claim for my cracked toilet which was denied due to my negligence. How can it be negligence when it is only used as intended? I get a renewal for my contract that went up $20. You used to be such a outstanding company. At the moment I am very unhappy with the service provided.

Please do not pay a penny for lowes extended warrenty and save yourself a lot of frustration and trouble just go somewhere else to purchase items!! My washer stopped draining, they were quick to send someone out to diagnose the issue and the technician said the part would be shipped to my house, he would be back to put the part in on the 12th. It is now the 12th (13 days after the first visit), I call to see what time my appt was bc there has been absolutely NO communication. They then proceed to tell me that it would take 21 business days to even ship. Then once I get the part I could be given an appt. Absolutely none of this was said when the technician was at my house. The agent then said I could call the warrenty company and see if they could find a different company that could get the part shipped to me sooner, the number he gave me was either incorrect or a fake number. I called back to get the correct number just to have the next agent hang up on me because her connection was bad and she never called me back. I call for a 3rd time, mind you each time I am calling back I have to wait 30 mins for someone to call me back, just for them to tell me the exact same thing with no resolution other than I have to wait for another 2 weeks and hope the part ships. I asked for a supervisor which then told me the same thing and kept speaking over me and interrupting me when I would try to speak. I then asked for her supervisor, she told me she was the supervisor. I told her I wanted to speak to HER supervisor and then she changed her story to there were no managers there for me to speak with. If you have made it this far in my review I beg of you DO NOT BUY ANY APPLIANCES FROM LOWES OR THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY!! I paid hundreds of dollars for this when I bought my washer and dryer from them and this is what my money has bought for me.

Used Cinch for the first time for a leaking valve in our shower. Technician acted like he didn\'t want to do much with it. He did change out the washers for the hot & cold, but later that afternoon it was leaking again, but not as bad. I thought it had stopped, but no, it was still leaking. I called to have someone come back out and I was charged an additional $100 for a problem that was supposedly fixed the day before. With their system, you can't tell anyone what the exact problem is or that the ill trained tech didn't do the job right. It's all animated. To cancel the second service call that I shouldn't have been charged for, I had to press '0' 15 times before I could talk to a representative from India. I was told it would take 10 business days to get my refund & I'm worried that won't happen and the rep was to give me a confirmation number for the refund request and he hung up before giving it to me & I was to get an email which never has come about the refund. I want to cancel, but everyone tells me this is the best warranty. Prove it to me. I'm frustrated that this company lacks professionalism, very difficult to resolve problems or speak to a rep who speaks English clearly. I have had American Home Shield before on a previous home & they were much better & the techs knew what they were doing & the problem fixed. The shower valve is still leaking & I guess I'll have to call a real plumber to fix it.

RUN!! Run far away from this scam!! They may “buy out/back” your crap product or so they tell you, but good luck ever getting the money back for it. Still waiting 30 days later and do you think they could reach out to customers at all?? Nope. Every single bit of correspondence has been done by me. Sitting on hold, making the effort, just to hear them say “I do apologize...”. If you want an extended warranty, contact the manufacturer themselves.

I got the 5-year on our fridge in 2018 because the internal ice makers always break. Sure enough, it stopped working. Today I called and was transferred between two departments because none of them could get the information from my purchase on their system, even though I had the online receipt pulled up with all relevant details. It took 3 hours and some sort of workaround to get a service call placed. Then I called Lowe’s customer service to complain and to say that now the details of that order were no longer showing up in my MyLowes account. All of my other orders were there, but not the one that showed my fridge and the warranty. The man said he can’t do anything about the 3-hours on the call. I explained that it took that long because their system was messed up. He said no, that it just takes time and there are a lot of calls each day. Then he went to look at my account and I am currently on hold again because he had to call the IT department - because their system is messed up. (Funny how he told me that this wasn’t the problem just a moment before...) Now I’m on hold again - so far this time it’s been 27 minutes and holding.
