Great experience! Was dreading working these things out because I had heard horror stories of people waiting for weeks and/or months to be serviced. But not AHS!!! We called them on Monday. A contractor called to set up appointment for Wednesday. So, it was all completed in just THREE days!!! Kudos to AHS!!!

AHS is very timely in setting you up with a contractor. The contractor on the other hand is where the problem fall. If AHS would access the severity of the problem and set you up with a contractor that could immediately see you it would be great. So far, AHS has held up their part of the contract.

After being on hold for hours and my air conditioning being out 5 times this summer the contractor they sent out finally fixed the problem. This was after replacing the unit the second time. Horrible contractor.

I haven\'t had any real issues with AHS. I\'ve had two successful repairs done. The only negative was a 4 day wait for my water heater repair and that was due to the contractor\'s schedule. Great Overall experience so far!

The last service call was by far the best service I've had on my furnace. The previous company did not fix the problem but merely delayed the later outcome of having the overheat switch activate every time the furnace went on. The service was good, fast and complete. Kudos to the service man.

Our first experience using our AHS warranty came as a perk of our home purchase. Since we bought the house in October, but the year was paid through March, by the previous owner, we got a "free" trial of sorts. Yes, we still paid the service fee, but not the yearly rate. We were pleased with our plumber who helped us fine tune multiple "short sale" home issues. He was knowledgeable, and professional. We were happy with our first experience using the AHS network and it helped us in concluding to renew the existing contract.

Pro: Customer Svc people are above avg and seem to care! They have been great on each of my appliance replacements. Con: The service companies in our area for my zip code they keep trying to send me for A/C Central Units all have F ratings at the BBB. No small wonder after the service I have received, or actually, the huge lack of service. You will have to live it to understand it. I almost forgot this fun time... I actually had to run their electrical contractor off the very 1st time I ever needed that part oof the service. They had no 2nd. Recommendation - Research by calling th variouus plumbing, heating and air, electrical, and appliance, pool, etc as to which Home Warranty Co they like to contract with. Research it backwards. THEN see what the internet shows as the good, bad, and ugly of the various available home warranties. and GOOOOOD LUCK.

Called AHS as soon as my AC broke and 2 days later a man showed up (for a 60 dollar fee), took the AC unit motor and never returned. It has been 17 days since that man took my motor and it has been 90 degrees every day since my AC broke. I have been very patient and waited 10 gays before start calling AHS for answers. They are rude, patronizing and offensive at times )if they choose to answer the phone, but they are never helpful. My motor was not borrowed or replaced, so, since it has been gone for 17 days now, i have to assume it has been stolen.

AHS sent a technician out to replace some parts in my furnace so that I would have heat and did a great job. However when we had some plumbing issues, they sent out their lowest bidder and tracked dirt and mud throughout the house and fixed the clogs. The service provider they used did not write up any kind of invoice of the work they did and told us the pipes in the kitchen would have to be replaced. The most current and worst service came when our air conditioner stopped working. The service provider came out and replaced an overflow drain plug and the thermostat (which worked fine, but wanted to bill AHS uneccessarily). They told us the compressor was bad and needed to be replaced. ONE WEEK LATER! the part finally shows up the vendor replaced the compressor. We had cold air for a few days then back to square one. We had a friend look at the compressor outside and their were wires that were burnt up and a cheap starter on the equipment. When I called the HVAC company they tried to tell me to put in another service call for them to come out and look at it. I DON'T THINK SO! I am not spending another 60 dollars for a job you should have done write the first time. I wish I could post a picture of these burnt up wires that were too small for the unit. Our friend told us that our house could have blown up if he did not change these wires! This is what happens when AHS goes with an unlicensed lowest bidder. Con artists trying to rip people off and poor quality work. I was also told that I could be reimbursed 60 dollars for having to purchase window units, but it is not worth my time to be on hold for 20 plus minutes to talk to anyone. I will NEVER EVER call them again and I hope after people that read this article will not use them as well. If you like spending 60 dollars every week or so to get half-astd work by a bunch of unlicensed knuckle heads, then by all means go ahead. I work hard for my money and times like this, I cannot afford to spend money carelessly.

I have had AHS for the past 9 years (2 houses). Initially, service was great but the past 3 years I have not been completely satisfied. I have had to call them at least 3 times a year for the past three years for the same A/C unit. All they do is send someone out to patch it up and hope it doesn't break down within 60 days. It is apparent something is wrong with my A/C. I called the company and asked when do they consider an item replacable. Their nonchalant reply was they have to wait for the contractor to tell them it needs replacing..."there's nothing we can do". Well if you send a different contractor out each time, they all see something different and no one seems to see that there is a problem. This is very frustrating. At this point I am researching companies because it's time for a change.
