I had 2 repair issues, one for plumber, one for appliance. The scheduling was done immediately for both. Repair by plumber is complete but appliance repair is a week away.

Most of the time the contractors that they refer are pretty good. Sometimes they take a while to resolve issues but overall I am satisfied with them.

I am satisfied thus far with my home warranty with AHS. I had my air conditioner fail last summer during a serious heat wave. The tech came to our home and gave us several options regarding a replacement unit. We were very happy with the results. Previously we had most of our appliances covered with Sears with separate contracts for each. We changed to AHS because they were highly recommended by a close family friend. Sears had begun to contract out and the service was unreliable.

My experience was terrible. It took from May 2018 until July 9th to get my air conditioning units sloppy repaired by AHS\' vendor United Air Temps. The first air conditioning unit was was supposedly completely repaired June 28th. The coil was installed unlevel causing a flood in my basement. The Technician refused to replace the filter and being reminded several times. I was told several times by the Technician, Tommy, and AHS that a manager, Dillon, would call regarding my wet basement. I never received a call. I was told my bill was $910.00 for the refrigerant (407C) put in this unit and $100.00 service fee to AHS. I never received a written bill from United Air Temps. During a conversation with AHS while expressing my concerns about the bill, inability to reach a manager, etc., I was told by AHS' that my bill should have been $710. Instead of $910. I have not been able to resolve this! I was told by a Technician , Jose, that my second unit was a little low in refrigerant. When the unit was checked by Tommy to determine the amount needed in this unit, Tommy stated that this unit was also leaking and it was empty. Tommy submitted the bill for 15 pounds in this unit for a total of$1050.00. I had another certified HAVC check out both of my units and I was told the units didn't hold the amount of refrigerant that I was charged for. Caps were left off both units. The work was sloppily performed which caused future damage. AHS stated today that I have No recourse with them. I am at the mercy of United Air Temps. My warning to all is stay away from AHS and their vendors including United Air Temps.

AHS generally provides excellent services to homeowners. However, I learned to call in a service request instead of using the web to ensure that the service representative is made aware of the exact equipment that need to be repaired. For example, not all vendors can work of the Carrier Infinity air conditioning systems.

I had my appliances cover by Sears for many years. I got tired of paying for individual warranties for washer, dryer, stove top, refrigerator, dish washer etc.. I also had issues with the contractors Sears scheduled to report to my home. Along with the fact that Sears’ warranty contract required a large renewal payment for each item so a year and a half ago we decided to try American Home Shield. A close family friend highly recommended AHS and after some comparison shopping we decided to try them. During last summer when there were weeks of 90 degree weather our air conditioner died. The tec was very helpful and the replacements offered were very reasonable. Since then we have had minor issues that were also taken care of to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this company. I love the fact that I have many items that are covered with AHS That wouldn’t have been under my previous method. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 for timelines is because I would like more prompt response from the contracted company. I got a call back within the required time frame but then I may have to wait several more days for them to actually show. Unfortunately that is the case with having to schedule repairs.

Been with AHS for over ten years, have had some favorable experiences, some I\'d rather forget. Overall, I would say the contractors who have serviced my items have been professional, prompt, and accommodating. AHS has always provided excellent service when I needed a repair. Their operators have always been professional and supportive.

I should have done this sooner, but am glad I have it now. Individual appliance warranty became quite expensive and repair service required me to fit my schedule to the repair person\'s schedule, and not mention the quality of service.

This company is the epitome of "money hungry". It was very disappointing to to have to pay my monthly premium, repair deductible and an additional out of pocket expense to have my COVERED AC unit repaired. It would make too much sense for AHS to hire reputable companies to service its customers. Instead they hire cheap and incompetent companies to do the work. It took 3 technicians to service my unit and they ALL had three very different diagnosis. I will not renew my contract with AHS.

The contractor was very friendly, attentive, courteous & informative. He took the time to educate & share what the repair entailed & how he is troubleshooting not only the existing problem, but other associated or related problems that could or may occur. He was also on time for the appointment. He explained if needed parts are to be ordered & really took the time to lay out the process. He also explained the proper care & maintenance we as home owner can do.

I just had a service call yesterday 3-10-15. My Stove completely quit working Sunday evening. I call ed to get a repairman out and was pleasantly surprised to have a customer service representative pick up. I really liked that. Anyway, I got set up quickly and the repair company called Monday Morning, Got the repair yesterday by noon and I am up and running again. It was a good experience. I believe it is what the process should look like every time. Most all of our experience through the years has been good.

I received a call from the service provider within less than 15 minutes after I placed my service call with AHS, and an appointment for the next day. The technician was very thorough he spent 2-3 hours in my home troubleshooting my furnace to identify why I was not getting heat. He explained things to me as he went along and showed me things in my furnace. After 2 1/2 hours he found out there was a short in My digital programmable thermostat . If I did not have AHS the hourly labor charge would have been hundreds of dollars.
