American Home Shield (AHS)
This is my second post with no response. I am still waiting since December 30, 2017 for a supervisor to contact me. Right before the New Year, my refrigerator went out although it was just serviced a week and half ago. I contacted American Home Shield to request service. Wait time was over 2 hours. The gave me the same company that had just "fixed" my refrigerator because they provide emergency service. Needless to say there was no emergency service. I called the company Saturday from 10:00am until 7:00pm. No answer. I contacted AHS to inform them that no one is responding from the company. The Rep who answered the phone, after a 2 1/2 hour wait, was so incompetent. She could not pronounce words and was unknowledgable. I asked if she could find another company that provides Emergence Service. She had no clue how to do that. I told her that I needed service ASAP because of medication for family members that has to stay refrigerated. She even had the nerve to suggest I take my food to a neighbors house. I called back on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Complained about my refrigerator issue, the medicine, the wait time and also that I was still waiting for a Supervisor to contact me. She basically brushed me off and connected me to another department. The lady I spoke with was gonna try to resolve my problem. She requested that I fax her my receipt since I had to purchase a new refrigerator. I have faxed her twice with no response (fmaye@ashlink.com). My first review never got posted but someone wrote back to request my email address and phone number. I provided that information and still to this date, I have yet to speak with anyone concerning this matter. If this is the type of service customers receive, I don't think I need to spend my money with this company.

American Home Shield (AHS)
In the previous years, i never had a problem with American Home Shield when I needed service. Recently, i received the worst service ever. Early December i had an issue with my refrigerator staying cold. I scheduled service and the technician came very next day. He needed to order a part, the part came and technician installed it. A week and a half later, I had the same problem with the refrigerator. AHS scheduled me with the same company because they provide emergency service. Needless to say, there was no emergency service provided. Called the company all day. No answer. I called AHS to inform them of the issue. The representative who answered after waiting 2 hours seemed very incompetent. She couldn't pronounce words correctly, she was not knowledgable of the process. I requested to speak with a supervisor because i explained that i needed someone to come out ASAP because i have insulin in my refrigerator for 3 people. She actually told me to take my food to a neighbors house. Since December 30, 2017, I am still waiting for a call from a supervisor. I called on Monday, January 2, 2018, informed AHS that i had to purchase a new refrigerator. They said that because i didn't have approval from AHS, they couldn't reimburse me for my purchase. I was then connected to another department where another representative expressed that she would try to help and asked that I email (fmaye@ashlink.com)her a copy of my purchase receipt. I emailed that on January 2, 2018 and also emailed again on January 9, 2018. Have yet to hear back from anyone at American Home Shield. i have made several calls to American Home Shield only to wait 2 1/2 hours before someone answer. The absolute worse service I've ever endured.

The contractor called ahead to let me know his distance and approximatearrival time. He was on time, identified himself at the door and was very courteous. He diagnosed and resolved the problem quickly. He showed me what the probelm was and suggested ways for me to avoid having the same problem in the future. AHS set up my appointment very quickly. I did not wait a long time to report the problem.

I called AHS for plumbing service, and they gave me the name of the plumb who would call. The plumber called that day and scheduled an appointment. They arrived when they said they would, identified the leaks, fixed the faucet leaks, and told me they needed a part for the leaky toilet. They promised to call back the next Monday, which they did. They came again on time and corrected the problem. All around excellent service.
