In the oSt, AHS failed to pay fully for the ac and furnace i had to pay out of pocket. They only paid half, and that was because I contacted BBB. Now I\'m in fear that the washer they came to repair needs a part and the service guy says it might not be possible to get. I haven\'t heard from AHS. AHS has improved since I had issues.

AHS is truly outstanding. I’ve had other home warranty services but AHS is by far the greatest. Customer service is great either by phone or using their we support. Constantly in contact to make sure service is being done or completed. If you choose AHS you will not be disappointing.

We recently required two service calls. One for our dryer and the other for a clogged drain. I was pleased with both services. The technician to repair the dryer was equipped with a new heating element in his truck and it was fixed that day. The plumber arrived earlier than scheduled and he knew where the problem was. He immediately went to work on the drains in the basement and within a short time the drains were fixed. Very pleased with the service provided by AHS!

I have been a long time client of AHS and I am eternally grateful for the service. The representatives are willing work with you to schedule appointments and provide outstanding customer service. This has been my experience and I would recommend AHS to family and friends. I have not had to rely on them often but when I do, it is a relief to know they are there.

I had an issue with a microwave sensor that was acting up. I had the service company come out and replace the sensor and it worked great for a day or two until another sensor went bad, so they came back out and replaced that sensor as well and it has been working great since. No more closing the door and the microwave turning on by itself.

My air unit was leaking water, unfortunately all available venders were backed up. AHS allowed me to go outside of their, vendors and find a contractor. Once AHS approved of the. Contractor, and price the work was complete. And I was reimbursed for out of pocket expense. I am so thankful that AHS was willing to go the extra and not let my family suffer in the heat.

Recently my hot water heater stopped working. When the repair person arrived and briefly inspected my hot water heater he informed me that my water heater was leaking. He conferred with his manager and then informed me that my water heater could not be repaired and that it would cost me $1345 to have it repaired after AHS paid their portion. I had already gotten a second opinion before the repair person arrived and the water heater did not need to be replaced. It only needed a new blower for $299. After sending the repair person on his way with his ridiculous estimate, I ordered the part and had it replaced for a fraction of the estimate provided. I am not happy with the plan and will be cancelling the service once I get reimbursed for my water heater repair work.

I requested the service on-line, which was very quick and easy. The company promptly contacted me to schedule the repair. The technician arrived as scheduled and quickly diagnosed the problem. He did have the part needed, but assured me that it would be promptly ordered. He was courteous and very knowledgeable. The company representative contacted me to advise me that the part was ordered and gave an estimate of when the part should be available. The part arrived within the estimated timeframe. The technician once again arrived on time and quickly replaced the part. I was very satisfied with the service provided and quite happy that AHS effectively worked in the background to ensure the company was quickly notified of my problem and was promptly paid. This was a very pleasing experience.

AHS misleads its customers as to what they actually provide. When they say they will replace an item if it cannot be repaired, there is no guarantee that the replacement is the current version of the item. No guarantee that the replacement will be the same color or size or manufacturer. When trying to determine how much they will pay in lieu of repairs, they have some "secret" formula/deal with the manufacturer to discout the prices. In addition, you are required to pay for the item up front (meaning you are spending a good deal of money) while you wait for them to process your claim for reimbursement. There is no guarantee that the replacement is a real replacement. And you must make your decision immediately on the spot of your want the repair or the money in lieu of the repair.

I have several rental properties with American Home Shield as my warranty company. when I use the online system, the repair order was for my residence instead of the rental property. I entered the contract number for the rental property and the work order was still placed under my residence. My issue is related to a dishwasher. I originally called 2 Feb 2012 and the dishwasher was actually fixed today 23 March 2012. The request was cancelled but not by myself or the tenant. Sears came out and tried to use the cancelled work order to order a part. The claim was denied for the property address. Had to reschedule. The company claimed they ordered the part when they didn't. Had another appointment and the provider did not show because they said the appointment was not confirmed and the part was not in. I had to elevate this issue to the customer relations department. This request was removed from Sears and placed with another provider. I felt like I was getting the run around. I'm paying for the service and can't get service. Every time I call I have to explain my entire situation all over again, placed on hold forever, being transferred to a supervisor and conveniently being disconnected. I was ready to explode. The dishwasher only needed a screw. My question is, what part was so called ordered from Sears? I feel I should have been given a new dishwasher for being inconvenienced for over a month. I must say, I will not renew this contract and in the process of looking for another provider.
