To be honest I haven\'t had a problem with American Home Shield. The problem that I had with my appliance, air condition and furnace. They replace and repair. The customer service representative are very helpful and the service repair company have treated me and my family honest and friendly. You may have to wait for a long time for someone to come to the phone. But, when they answer phone they will take care of you.

We submitted the claim online and the website was user-friendly. They reached out to us right away after that. The contractor also called and was right on time. The repair took him a lot longer than he thought but he solved the problem and he also cleaned up after himself. AHS is worth the price and I would recommend them.

Personal service from companies is OK, just seems that a similar problem with furance happens every year or two. Last problem was within 7 months and AHS would have to change deductible again just was not happy with outcome.

I've always been literally strapped for repair money for things that break-down around the house. This causes me to hesitate in seeking repairs. American Home Shield is wonderful in never looking at my repairs like that. They immediately request repairmen to come to my aid. My most recent issue was a leaking shower in the master bathroom that I'd allowed to "grow" for several weeks due to my own imagination of what the problem "could be". I had imagined the whole shower shell would have to be replaced due to major problems. I called AHS and explained the initial issue of the leak. AHS noted they would immediately contact a local plumber to come out to assess the problem. I had phone very late on a Saturday night. I didn't receive a phone call from the plumbing office until Tuesday due to my own poor timing when I initiated this call. The plumber was here early Wednesday, came in to the Master Bath's shower and immediately knew the issue and it was very simple. It took approximately 20 minutes to repair at very little total cost. The plumber's office called me 3 days afterward to make sure things were still working as they should be. I am so extremely thankful and hope that next time I have a problem and need to contact AHS, I will not hesitate due to my own imagination. I have had AHS for several years -- well, since I had this house built and have had to contact AHS several times throughout the years. Each and every time, I am extremely thankful to have AHS as partners in my home.

Since this was my first experience using AHS I was impressed. I got my information very quickly. The contractor contacted me within a day or two (always the weekend when it happens). They called, came out fixed my appliance without any hesitation and left the area clean! Oh and he did it all within 45 minutes!!!

I have have been a customer of AHS for 12 years. In the earlier years, few break down in my home. Customer service was acceptable. As my appliances and air conditioner and furnace have age - bad customer service. You spend 30-45 on hold for a customer service agent. There is no formal complaint process and the rate has increase this contract period has increased significantly. Additionally, they now want me to purchase a seperate plan that covers the furnace and air conditioner I am done with this company.
