We had a problem with our air conditioner, called customer service and within one day they had a repairman to our house and fixed the problem. Repairman was professional, courteous and efficient. The only downside to AHS is the wait times for customer service, you can be on hold from 1/2 hour to an hour and it\'s been like that for over a year. Other than that we are satisfied.

Would get s better review from me if you could ever get anyone on the phone. Ridiculously, absurdly and infuriatingly long periods of time before someone answers the phone. Service requests online are simple and I’ve been pleased with all of the service I’ve received and typically in a timely manner. Just don’t expect anyone to answer when you call.

Service was timely, efficient and professional. Only comment would be AHS changed mid-year 2017 to go to a pre-paid service fee and did not communicate that very well and it created some confusion regarding whether on not I should pay the service provider the service fee directly, but we got it straightened out . Our overall experience with AHS has been extremely positive. My only other comment is it would help if they would address their call wait time to get that reduced, but I try and do as much online as I can to avoid having to call directly. We experienced wait times as long as an hour on multiple occasions .

Very frustrated. An electrician they sent to my house took my outdoor light to fix it. Never returned it and won\'t answer calls or return messages. After 2 1/2 weeks I reached back out to American Home Shield. I\'ve had to call 3 times and EACH time I\'ve been on hold FOR OVER AN HOUR before they return my call. All they tell me is they\'ve left a message with the electrician. There's never any other followup and so I have to call them back (another one hour wait time). This was never an issue with 2-10 Home Buyer's Warranty company. A human answered the phone immediately, they were helpful, and I never had any issues. Sure wish I had kep them!

Customer Service was terrible. My AC went out during a heat wave. I called the provider AHS gave me but they could not come out for 3 days. I called another contractor who was available. I attempted to call AHS to get approval but was on hold for one hour. I have 3 small children and my wife is pregnant. I needed to act to get my AC fixed. While on hold, the contractor who was available had immediately came to myself, found the problem, and gave me a quote. What was I supposed to do? I don't know how long I will be on hold. The contractor isn't going to sit there and wait. I cannot risk going a long time without work AC. I had him do the job. I finally got through to a rep. The rep had no interest in here my circumstances. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the supervisor refused to speak with me. I was told I would get a call from him within 48 hours per company policy. It has been 4 days. I'm fine with paying the difference between the contracted rate of AHS preferred providers and the fee charged by the contractor I used. But the rep I spoke with seemed more engaged in denying my claim because I didn't get prior authorization. I tried but when you are in the middle of your work day for an hour and cannot get anyone on the phone, you do what you think is reasonable.

Overall, a painless experience. I made the appointment online, which was easy, and the service tech called quickly to schedule an appointment for the next day. He came out to fix dryer and refrigerator issues. The service tech showed up on time and was knowledgeable and experienced. He had to order parts for the refrigerator, which took about a week. He called to reschedule and came out as promised. He was on time, neat, and very nice. Was definitely pleased with the overall experience.
