Not worth the money and it\'s a huge hassle to use. If you need to call and speak to a representative they ignore your questions and comments and read off a script. I had a technician assigned to fix my washing machine, he took three days to call me, made an appointment and didn\'t show up in the 4 hour window, or call, or text me. I left to run errands and then he called and wanted to come, two hours after the window. I wasn't home and told him so. He told me he is too busy to let his customers know when he would be there. I told him I am busy too and to cancel the request. I then had to call AHS to do this. The repairman was very rude and I will not allow him in my house. I called AHS. The young lady I spoke too said I had to cancel with the contractor. I said I tried to and he said I had to call AHS. She said she would call him, then she said she couldn't get through and the voice mail was full so I would have to call him. I said if you can't get through how can I? I told her to escalate the call to a manager, I then sat on hold for 45 minutes before the line dropped. I called back, next person said she would cancel it and I'd see the money back in 5-7 business days. I haven't seen it. I asked her to file a complaint and have someone contact me, of course I haven't heard anything. I asked the representative multiple times if I would hear something back from my complaint. She wouldn't answer me and kept saying "I understand you have a problem with your washing machine." It didn't matter what I asked her, that is what she replied. Now, I guess I have to either eat the $100 or call them back and descend again into the pit and abyss of hell of calling AHS. So, my advice is run, run, run, do not give these people any money. You might as well have a bonfire in your backyard and toss it on there.

I\'ve been so impressed with AHS. Again, the service was wonderful. The serviceman was very professional and let me know when he was coming, what was going on with my disposal and fixed it quickly. I am really glad we chose AHS. Weve had a few repairs and even a couple of replacements with no issue whatsoever! Thank you much!!

We have been extremely pleased with Home Shield except for 1 time. Our hot water tank burst the day before Thanksgiving and the plumbing company would not replace it until 8 days later. I tried calling American Home Shield since I could not reason with the plumbing company. I was on the phone for almost 2 hours on hold with AHS. Periodically, a nice young lady (Asian accent) would come on and apologize for the wait but could not get anyone to talk to me. They actually left on break with me holding on the phone. 8 days is way too long to be without hot water and they could have gotten another plumber. I complained on Facebook and 3 other plumbing companies (great reputations) called to see if they could help us. I had to turn them down because I felt we had paid AHS and should have them do it. Other than that one time, AHS has been super!! I am sure going to keep them!

We have had AHS for 2 years and just paid for our 3rd. We have had several random issues that happen to break right when funds are low, but, thank goodness we had our warranty. AHS was able to get us back up and running with our AC unit, furnace, washer, dryer, dishwasher, built in microwave, and even our fridge. The customer service really made our situations painless and the technicians that came out were so knowledgeable and was able to fix our problems with one trip!
