Lowe’s Protection Plans
An absolute disaster in every way. They hire absolute morons and grifters to do the repairs. They do not honor the warranty. Not even close. They blame the moron grifter company with whom the contract. They also let you languish on hold for hours at a time. Lowes name is all over this too. Crooked b*******.

Had a dishwasher that died. Called AHS and that quickly setup a repair call. It took close to two weeks for the technician to arrive, but he was very thorough and found a bad board. A few days later, I got a call from the technician that AHS would replace the unit. They offered a good choice or a check towards buying one on our own. We chose the check and have a dishwasher on order. We are very happy with AHS.

Wonderful experience with AHS. Called them and a repairman was here the next morning. They kept me informed as to who and when they would arrive. The repair men from O***** were quick to locate my problem. They needed to order a part and informed me as soon as the part had come in . They came quickly to install the part. I am very happy with the service AHS has provided.

They had to come back twice for my freezer. The first visit it was frozen so the second trip was necessary. They were on time and solved the issue.

I AM SO VERY DISAPPOINTED. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY TOILET. THE FLANGE IS BROKEN AND ORIGINAL PLUMBER THAT CAME OUT SAID IT WAS DUE TO EXCESSIVE FORCE, THEREFORE NOT COVERED. I ASKED FOR A SECOND OPINION, KNOWING THERE HAD BEEN NO EXCESSIVE FORCE. AHS WAS GRACIOUS ENOUGH TO SET UP A SECOND OPINION. THE SECOND OPINION DIAGNOSIS WAS IMPROPER INSTALLATION. I WAS TOLD THAT DECISION HAD BEEN OVER TURNED AND WAS NOW A COVERED SERVICE, BUT THE APPROVAL HAD TO GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PROVIDER. I TOLD THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM AHS, THAT I DID NOT WANT THE FIRST SERVICE PROVIDER TO MAKE THE REPAIR, SO THE APPROVAL WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE SECOND PROVIDER, BUT THA IT WOULD COST ME 397.00 BESIDES THE 100 COPAYMENT I HAD ALREADY PAID. I ASKED WHY, I WAS TOLD BECAUSE THEY WOULD ONLY COVER THE REPLACEMENT OF THE FLANGE IF IT WAS ON BARE UNOBTRUCTED FLOOR, WHICH I HAVE TILE. I WAS TOLD IF I BROKE AWAY THE TILE SURROUNDING THE FLANGE IT WOULD BE COVERED. I SENT PICTURES IN AN EMAIL TO THE 2ND PROVIDER ASKING HOW MUCH TILE THEY NEEDED BROKEN AWAY. I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR MONTHS TO GET THE PLUMBER OR AHS TO RESPOND TO ME. I AM STUCK WITH A BROKEN TOILET THAT CANNOT BE USED, AND PAID 100.00 COPAY FOR NOTHING. ALL I AM GETTING IS A RUN AROUND.

Today, you guys sent a guy from Low Country\'s Best Heating and Cooling to my home to fix the AC. It took seven hours to install an TXV and put some R22 into the system and it still isn\'t fixed properly. In addition, I had to twice wake this guy up because he fell asleep in the attic. I told him not to return to finish the job. Seven hours and $718.00 later and the AC still isn't fixed. In addition, when I called AHS to complain about this I was put on hold (twice) and cut off (twice). You need better customer service and better providers. These guys stink! You really need to do a better job of vetting your providers. I have a good notion to find another home warranty service. This is actually the second time in two years I got crappy providers.

The warranty program is great. I would rate the hold times to speak to a representative as a negative 10. As much money as ya\'ll receive, you would think that they would have enough customer service people to respond to your customers. I\'ve been on hold from 30 min to over an hour. I just don\'t have that kind of time to be placed on hold. Not putting your customers first will always be a fail. I almost rated them a 5 out of 10, mainly because of this one issue, but I wanted to be fair to AHS. Thanks

I have been a Total Protect/Cross Country customer for the past 5 years. I too was not happy with the deductible increase $75 to $125, but it more that paid for itself as my hot water heater broke. The company provided an honest technician who could not fix it, but I was offered a buyout for the broken unit. I did have to paid a few hundred dollars out of pocket, but I was reimbursed for twice as much as I paid out of pocket. I have had positive experiences throughout my contract. A few household items was not covered when they failed, but overall this has been the best warranty company that I have used.

WARNING .....This company is terrible. They will not guarantee weekend work, so if your heat goes out on the weekend, your out of luck. They also give 48 hours for a contractor to respond and if you loose your heat on a Friday night, their clock doesn\'t start the 48 hours until Monday morning, so the contractor has until Wednesday to respond. So you'll be without heat until at least Wednesday. Their customer service people could care less!!!! They refuse to reassign a job until the full 48 hours is over. I'm very sorry I signed up with this company and am not going to renew with them.

We decided to drop both our policies on two units because its a 75 copay, and although once they did buy a new refrigerator, it wasn't a particularly easy process, and I was totally screwed on another issue I had with them - the vendor messing things up, the operators I talked to not taking down good notes, etc. Everyone is scared of having to replace an HVAC, and that is fair. But it's $600 per year, so in 8 years you just paid for that HVAC anyway, and probably had quite a few headaches along the way :/
