American Home Shield (AHS)
It\'s the "fine print" that disappoints me. When my AC went out the repair company WAS NOT LOCAL!!! So they said they HAD TO IMPOSE HOUSTON REQUIREMENTS. IT WAS DEMANDED BY AHS. NOT TRUE. If I had a local repair the bill would have been $500.00 less. Then the fine print came into effect; no Freon payment from AHS, No extras required for local CODEs. Therefore the EXTRA $500.00. The repair company said I could NOT USE A LOCAL REPAIR COMPANY BECAUSE I had to use the AHS selected repair company. So watch out for the fine print and remember the call center people have NO IDEA of terms and conditions and WILL NOT LET YOU SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR TO REQUEST A LOCA PROVIDER. The call center people and nice but CLUELLESS as to what the sell. Apparently not trained well. I used to be a call center Manager and would have fired the Supervisors who are supposed to monitor and coach and would fire the head of the training department. don DeYoung
