Went online with AHS and requested another repair on the dryer (over 15 years old) and they immediately sent us a company name and phone # to schedule. Wright Appliance Service was able to fix our dryer the same day when they came out...wow now that is fast service!! Have had AHS since I bought the house in November 2008.

Not only did that fail to happen but also no one called to schedule or call when they're on their way and worst of all just left a business card when they stopped by our house. Didn't even try to call either of our numbers or text. And the only thing AHS can tell me now is that they'll reschedule the appointment. Now I'm looking at a week or longer wait time for what could have been done in 1-2 days. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars of perishables that would have been fine in that 1-2 day time frame. As soon as we moved into our new house (built in 2010), we found that there was a leak on our side of the water meter at the street. We found that AHS does not cover anything physically located outside of the house...so $400 out of pocket on day 1. Now our upstairs A.C. is not working. It took 5 days for them to get a contractor out (in very ho...View Moret Texas weather) just to look at it. They found that the Freon was low so they put in 5 lbs. (AHS only covers $10 a pound) and we had to cover the rest ($125). They would not even check to see if there was a leak at that time, but said it would be covered if it stopped working again. Go figure, there is a leak and it is not working again. They were able to get some one out in 2 days this time (woohoo), and found that the evaporator coil inside needs to be replaced. AHS covers the replacement of the evap coil but they will not cover the "construction items" to keep it in code...so another $325 out of pocket. $850 later...If I would have just forgone this warranty and had my normal AC tech down the road complete all of these repairs, I would have been better off. I have never written a bad review on a company until now, and went as far as setting up an account here just to do so. This is how frustrated I am. You get a home warranty to protect you from these basic items and this company finds every tiny way possible to put the cost back on the homeowner. I will never use this company again and I will tell everyone I know to do the same. View Less

They are also not much help when it comes to asking them specific questions about your policy. I’ve also had a terrible experience with the contract they scheduled me and I requested to get another contractor.
