Horrible. My warranty is supposed to cover my pool heater and AHS refuses to send a tech over to replace the blower. Another tech came and said it’s a fire hazard - I relayed this to AHS and they basically said oh well.

Plumber came in, confirmed the service requests and got started. No more than 20 minutes later, garbage disposal was working, toilet no longer running and answered a question about another concern. Great service, very professional and polite.

I have been with AHS for almost 10 years. I called for service because pool heater was not working. They sent service out and they said it was not covered because it was my fault that valves were corroded from pool water. I said I want a second opinion, because how can it be my fault for pool water damaging valves, which are inside the enclosed heater? I have my pool serviced 2x a week by a reputable company. They sent another service call out, I was there with man and he said there are two valves that need to be replaced and that was it. Estimated cost $250-$350 and two-hour labor. AHS denied claim saying it was my fault corroded valves. I called asked to speak to manager or supervisor, they said no one available, it has been FIVE DAYS, no one has contacted me. I am so disappointed at the customer service and plan on posting this to all available review websites.

I have 2 homes. I tried AHS after I purchased my second home as I was so displeased with my first home warranty company. We are older, so we’ve used and tried many different warranty companies over the last 20 years. AHS is the best of all that we’ve tried. We’ve experienced electrical, plumbing, hot water heater, and garage door repairs with AHS. All of their contractors in the Houston area are first rate! Everything is done right the first time. Thank you AHS for taking care of my homes and most valuable investments!

The technician arrived at the early end of the timeframe and had us up and running in just a few minutes. We have purchased several homes and had Amrican Home Shield with each one. Would not choose any other home warranty company. Recently had my washing machine replaced because of the age and could not get parts. Fantastic service and repairs. No complaints here. Only thing I would change would be to add a comments section when requesting service. There were a few times I would like to have left an explanation of the problem or left more info about appliance. Totally satisfied customer.

I received service from the recommended provider via AHS in early July. There was work done that wasn\'t covered by AHS. I paid the separate fee to the provider and then a couple of days later I paid the standard $125 fee to AHS. Then in late July I started receiving notices that I had not paid the $125 to AHS. I called and was able to speak to an account agent. After I gave him the dates he checked and said that the notices I had been receiving had been sent in error and to please disregard. I asked for a bill showing a zero balance and he said he could not sent one out but I needed to rest assured that I didn't owe them anything. Last week I received a bill from them saying I owed $125 dollars and that it was 90 days past due. I've tried calling two days in a row and I've been put on hold each time for approximately 20 - 45 minutes. I wish I could sue for something like this just because of the stress and aggravation they have put me through with this.

Reasonable monthly fees and items that\'s covered. The contractors are normally quick to get repairs scheduled. Unfortunately there have been times that some additional parts were required in order to make things function correctly and I have had to pay additional out of pocket cost to the contractors. They have also accommodated by escalating repairs when we had a newborn in the home that was just a few days old or when my husband was enduring some medical issues.

Customer service on the phone was very nice, and sent a qualified contractor out. It has been my experience that a lot of trunk slammers call themselves contractors. A trunk slammer is someone who does not have a service vehicle and works out of their personal car.

HELP... I need assistance FAST. American Home Shield answered my call and answered it quickly! In a world of automated dialers and phone prompts, I was skeptical as to the type I service I would receive. Yet, time after time, every experience with AHS has been great. The service they provide in trouble shooting my call to dispatching is subperb. Once the contractor received my ticket, they were professional and timely in contacting me to assess my need. I would recommend AHS to anyone as they hire bonafide agencies to partner with.

I must say that i was pleasently surprised by the outcome of my Pool Motor/ filter claim. After reading all of the negative reviews about how AHS would try and hire companies that would basically find a way not to fix/repair problems i was pretty nervous. AHS customer service reps are horrible. their favorite phrase is "im very sorry for..." It took a full week and some days for my issue to be resolved. However, i must give them props for using a decent company. My pool motor and entire filter elements and manifold were replaced. So after a long week of back and forth with AHS on the phone and them assigning the workorder to a company that was out of office for 2 days straight.my issue was fixed. Not so sure how quick the service would have been if it was an AC or major appliance. Hopefully i never have to use them again. Alot of people say its not worth it to have the warranty..but i look at it like carrying a firearm..its better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.. just my 2c
