There was an issue that was a struggle to resolve with them. Spoke to a handful of representatives, retention twice, got a nonsatisfactory response from it\'s representative on this site, then I spoke to a supervisor who made it all better all in one conversation. He honored their promise and scheduled someone to come to my place for the complimentary repair the next day.

I had an older water heater that had a serious leak and needed replaced. Upon submitting a service request, AHS promptly replied with the name of the plumbing contractor who contacted me the next day to set up an appointment to check the issue. The subsequent communication between AHS and the contractor was seamless, so I didn\'t need to coordinate anything other than initially schedule the time window for the replacement. It was a stress-free experience. The plumbing company and technician were also excellent--courteous, professional, thorough, knowledgeable, prompt and responsive.

Satisfied with American Home Shield. Disappointed with the first repair company. Took four visits over 30 days. Did not discover the real problem with our refrigerator. The second company, Allen Appliance company sent a service person. Within 20 minutes, he discovered the problem.

Ok, so here is the issue. I have been with AHS for about four months now and only had this issue. I called on the 14th and explained that I couldn't make my payment on the 19th, the lady was nice and we made an arrangement for the payment to be taken out of my account on the 25th. Well, that didn't happen they went and took my payment out on the 19th anyways. I gave them a call and this time the lady on the line was super rude. she told me that I had to make a payment on the 19th and then another one on the 25th!! I asked to talk to someone else and she told me that I would have to hang the phone up and call again to reach someone else. I don't recommend AHS due to the fact that when you need help they are not there to listen to you. I have cancelled my contract, I will not do business with a company that has rude employees and also the couple of times that I called it usually took me around 15-20 mins for someone to answer the phone!!!! Take my advice and look else where for an insurance company with better customer service

The HVAC contractor called me to make an appointment. They called again before leaving the shop and gave me an estimated arrival time. A very personable technician arrived at my door in a clean and pressed uniform immediately instilling confidence. He analyzed the problem immediately and explained it to me - the thermostat was faulty. Within 10 minutes, he had replaced the thermostat and explained its operation to me. He left me the manual in the event I had further problems, gave me a receipt for my check and left. It was the perfect service call. It left me with the satisfied feeling that I had contracted with the right warranty service and that they, in turn, had contacted the right contractor. I was encouraged to tell others of my experience.

We recently had an issue with our dryer, I submitted a request for service on line. I had the name of the service repair business within a few minutes. The Appliance Repair business called my wife and set up an appointment within minutes. The repairs were made and service completed, my wife mentioned just how professional and nice the customer service person was at the repair shop. The technician was friendly and pleasant also very professional, he made the repairs and did a quick cleanup of the whole system. She was very impressed with the whole process from my initial call to the completed service thank you very much for a great product.

My AC fan stopped working Thursday afternoon, during a string of 100+ days in the Dallas area. I called AHS, and a tech came to my home Friday afternoon. He showed me additional problems with the heater in the attic that he said prohibited him from just replacing the fan. He further stated it would be the middle of the next week before the heater and fan could be installed. I asked him if there was ANYTHING I could do to expedite that, and he said no. I started calling the AC company, A-US Air Conditioning in Garland Monday morning to get an update on exactly when the unit would be replaced. By this time, I had moved into a hotel since the temp in my house was above 90*. I could not get through to a live person after several attempts, so I was forced by their voice response unit to leave a voice mail message. I waited until the afternoon, and tried again. After several tries to reach a human, hanging up and redialing each time, I gave up and left another message. Tuesday morning, I was finally able to reach a phone rep, and asked to speak to a manager. The manager suggested I contact AHS to ensure they had ordered the heater. I did that, called A-US Air Conditioning back to let them know I had confirmed the unit had been ordered. I asked them if there was any way the unit could be installed Wednesday if it was received Tuesday. The manager couldn't say one way or the other. I received a call Wednesday from A-US Air Conditioning stating the unit would be installed Thursday AM. I'm very dissatisfied with this service call. The service provider wasn't providing me good service because I had to contact them three times before I knew when my unit would be installed, and even on the third call Tuesday after I placed my original service request on Thursday, they couldn't tell me for sure if the unit would be installed Wednesday or Thursday. Of course, I was in a hotel since I couldn't stay in my home, and that was a significant expense. But the source of my greatest dissatisfaction is that the unit that was installed had an energy efficiency rating of 80.0, on a scale from 78.0 to 96.8. That means, of course, I'll be paying more for my energy over the life of the unit. I ensured the new heater produced the same number of BTUs and that the fan produced the same CFM of air flow as the old unit. I never considered they'd install such an inefficient unit.
