I contacted my home warranty person and discussed my plumbing problem. The approved plumbers contacted me, we set a time for an appointment, the plumber came and fixed the problem. It was easy to do and I was very pleased with the outcome.

Great company, i would recommend to everyone. I only ever had good experiences. They resolve every single problem, and they do it in time. They are very professional and great to have even if you don’t think you will ever need it.

very quick response, well qualified tech, well worth the price of the warranty. Job completed in a timely fashion with excellent results. Had another company check out system and told me things needed fixing that worked well. AHS tech was honest about issues

I have been with AHS for 5 years. I had only one service request and that was very unprofessional, careless and poor service. First of all, it was very difficult to reach them, had to call many times and every time I had to wait for 40 to 60 minutes on hold. Here are the communication logs – Service Request was placed on Saturday Morning. Technician (sub-contractor) stopped by on Monday Late Morning. He gave me two options replace AC Coil ($4000 total and out of pocket $1554) will take 7+ days to get AHS approval or Install New (out of pocket $7500) it will take 1 day. AHS’s Contractor left me with quotes without resolve the issue. Second follow up call with AHS on Monday noon, as per representative, they have not received the document from AHS’s Contractor yet, it may take 48 business hours to approve. Tuesday Morning – follow up call with contracting company, as per them it’s already been submitted. Tuesday Noon – called again (Third follow up) AHS, as per representative they have not received document from contractor yet. Wednesday Morning – Forth follow up call, they have received the contractor’s quote and promised me someone from Authorization department will let me know status by EOD. Unfortunately, no one called me from AHS. After 5 days back n forth unproductive communication with AHS, I had to look for second opinion to find out what is wrong with AC. As per independent contractor, the drain was blocked, freon was 60%. it was easy fix and he resolved the issue in 20 minutes. But he suggested me to replace the coil whenever I can. It will cost me $1800 (total). Thursday morning, AHS sent me notification by saying Authorization department closed the case. And I got text from AHS’s Contractor, AHS will cover coil and labor, out of pocket $1554 and due to holiday they can’t schedule service in next 5 days. So, I called back AHS and request for an independent contractor and pay whatever the amount they already approved for their sub-contractor and I will pay rest. They declined and told me they can only reimburse $75 service fee. Now question is, is this how AHS treat Home Owners who has been with them for last 5 years and only had one Service Request and this is how they made me suffer in Texas during summer season in covid19 time!!! Stay away from AHS

Our water heater was leaking & going out, discovered it late afternoon, and called AHS. A repairman was sent out the next day. We had to get our water heater area & items up to code, so it was partially done that day and finished the next. Very pleased with the time to repair and the quality of the work & the replacement water heater.

Our furnace stopped working on thanksgiving eve. I called AHS and they scheduled a vendor. The Customer Service folks I talked to were empathetic, courteous, and kind. Understandably, no one was working on Thanksgiving day but come Friday, before 10 a.m., the vendor was already there! Now, this was the second time for the unit to break for unrelated issues, but AHS was there for us.

The companies they use for repair are wonderful. Work done timely and efficiently. The customer service was difficult and they dropped the ball so had to stay on top of them.

We have used AHS for over 25 years...3 homes in 3 different southern states. Since we run AC 9 to 10 months a year, this service is a must have. Without AHS each AC repair would cost me over $500 so it is a no brainer. They also cover my pool equipment all for an annual cost of less than what 1 to two repairs would cost without service. I learned early on that it is easier to budget a monthly payment than risk having a major unexpected expense that would have set us back. Over the years, we have maybe complained once or twice about a repair or cost, but I would not own a home without this service.

This is a complete rip off. Have had repeated problems. Water Heater went out, they covered it but the total expenses were more than it cost me to just hire a contractor through Home Depot. They\'ve repeatedly had to fix me pool/spa heater, because they band aid the problems with incompetent cheap contractors. Finally the last winter when the freeze alarm should have turned on the heater it didn't work, the pool froze and they used that as a reason to deny fixing it. My air conditioner has sounded like a jet engine every time it turns on for the last two summers, and leaks freon where they have to fill it up at my expense every year. But according to AHS if its blowing air it works, CLAIM DENIED. Find another warranty company do not waste your money on American Home Shield

AHS is very quick to get the service people out - and 99% of the time, it is fixed on that first visit... The only time it required an additional visit was when parts had to be ordered - and then they were back within a couple of days to fix it.

I have only been an AHS customer for about a year, and have only called them twice for service, but each time the repair people came, they were on-time, worked quickly, and repaired the problem. They also are ready to return should the problem return more quickly than normal.

Recently we had our AC unit stop working. Filed a work order through american home shield to make repairs done. Technician showed up, spent three hours at home only to leave AC unit "condemned" and shut off. Said we had hazardous leakages and needed a new coil in the AC unit plus thousands of dollars of refrigerant replacement. He went on to have his company call us multiple times to approve the work without giving us any solid numbers on an estimate. As it turns out, AHS only covered $100 of a "needed" (not needed) $1400 bill. This technician was obviously showing signs of being dishonest while in our home so we decided to have our own trustworthy AC tech come in and diagnose and resolve the issue. Our tech diagnosed the issue in approximately 3 minutes and had repaired the unit within the hour. He also informed us that the contracted worker for AHS (Tony Delpsey) had blatantly lied about pretty much everything. The cost of repairs was minimal ($300) and was taken care of in less than an hour. Long story short we completely wasted our time by trusting AHS to send out a competent contractor and it has seriously breached our trust with the people being sent into our home. Furthermore, looking at our contract with AHS and what should have been covered in repairs, had Tony correctly submitted the issue we would have had to pay $0 out of pocket. Since he instead submitted a fictional work order our CIL will not even cover the actual scope of work that needed to be done. In the future we hope that AHS will better vet out their contractors because the amount of time we have wasted resolving an issue that we pay AHS to handle is very disheartening.

AHS customer service and responsiveness is great. Most repair vendors are good but some are not so good. Most recent experience was with air conditioning contractor which was not satisfactory. When asking for service ask for alternatives vendors ten check them out on BBB and local reviews and then ask fir that vendor.

AHS is great and it's easy to place a request but my problem comes with the repair service. Within a year we have a the pool company come out multiple times to service the non working pump. Prior to all these problem, our pump was over 10 years old without any problems. I feel as they are keeping out equipment limping along vs replacing the equipment. The last visit they got the equipment started but it was making weird noises. We called them back but no response and now the equipment is not working again. This is getting frustrated and time consuming.
