No fuss no hassle request made online. Contacted within 24 hrs by the contractor. Initial problem diagnosed and fixed but inital problem had caused a fuse box issue not diagnosed. Electrical team sent out to fix fuse and I don\'t have to hand wash dishes.

I recently contracted AHS to service Our Missouri City Home,AHS also services our 2nd home in Boerne Texas,their service technicians are excellent,we have used their services & are always on time,courteous & very professional. We recently cancelled our contract with Choice Home Warranty,we could never reach customer service,their technicians do lousy work & are rude,I never heard from management on damage done to our microwave,We have been very pleased with AHS! Keep up the excellent service!

American Home Shield is a great insurance and investment when you own a home. Critical items never seem to break at convenient times. American Home Shield is reasonably timely, within two weeks of the break they respond unless it\'s an emergency. Then the response sooner My only complaint is that they use the lowest end products possibly found on the marketplace when replacing items in your home. And usually there's no option to pay a surcharge for a higher quality replacement part. Sometimes the contractors try to upsell you with other products while they're in your home that are not directly related to your claim, but related to the service you're having done.

We experienced a water leak from the celing on November 23, 2015. We placed an emergency workorder with AHS at approximately 7:00am..We were told the work order had been placed and was given the telephone number of the assigned contractor. After waiting for over six hours, I called the contractor who stated no one would be available until the following day. I begged this company to please work me in the same day because water was leaking down the light fixture and had soaked the carpet. This apparently did not qualify as an emergency. I called AHS and explained that my home was flooding and I needed emergency service. AHS had no resolution to my situation. I ask AHS representative why do they advertise 24 hour emergency assistance available if this is not the case? I was told that I must allow at least 24 hours for service. The contractor did not show up until aqpproximatley 29 hours after the work order was placed. By that time my carpet was soiled and mildewed. I think AHS should contract more reliabe service, especially when there is an emergency. Due to their untimelinless, we are facing replacing carpet and sheetrock.

I have been a very satisfied AHS customer for 11 years. They have repaired or replaced several items in my house, most recently a garbage disposal and earlier in the year a microwave. I always recommended them to others. Now, I am beyond dissappointed as I just received a letter from AHS corporate informing me that my existing plan is no longer available when my renewal comes up in December 2014 and to call them which I did. The bottom line: because of my service history they did away with my existing plan. The only means I now have to purchase a plan that covers the exact same systems and appliances is to sign up for their HomeShield Plus at twice the cost. I pay $49 per month now and it will jump to $100 per month with new plan starting in December. I wouldn't mind if the premium increased to $60 per month, but to double the premium because of my service call history is the last straw. I will be looking elsewhere.

My A/C would not come on no matter what I set the thermostat too. In this Texas summer heat, thats a BIG problem. I got online and requested service. Within a short time I got a call from the A/C company that AHS had selected in my area. We set up an appointment at a mutually agreeable time and my A/C was fixed in no time. ALL for only $75. Now that's COOL!!! Having a contract with American Home Shield gives me peace of mind.

I have had some repairs completed by AHSA, and was very happy however, this last service request on our GE Side by Side Refrigerator has been going on for 2 weeks and AHS has sent 4 different companies to our home, and none of them have been able to repair our refrigerator, not even attempt to repair because the SR is not on the refrigerator. We didn't just purchase this refrigerator we have had it for some years and I don't know how the SR# paperwork was removed. AHS was told this all up front as to why the first repair company did not attempt; dang can the Representative just listen and document accordingly? My food has spoiled, we have plugged up our old college dormitory refrigerator and don't know how long these folks are going to take to replace or repair. I am so disappointed with this service call and after reading some of the reviews it appears the company is not paying attention to their customers needs. I am on hold right now waiting to see what is going to happen or what fabrication I will hear today... I am going to just see what happens...
